Story
Jeanette is a beautiful girl who was dropped off in a rural area of California abandoned with her two litter mates in April 2026. She has been waiting in rescue in California ever since. We brought her to Portland, Oregon for a better chance at finding a loving home. - Approximately 11 months old and 50 pounds. Jeanette is at her full weight and should not get any bigger. - Confident, playful, social girl. She loves all people and is happy to meet whomever will give her attention. - We are not sure on her breed mix. She is leggy and stunning with a long, slender muzzle. Maybe Lab/Pointer mix? If her future owner does a DNA test we would love to hear the results! - Great with other dogs and enjoys playing - Fostered with children ages 7 years + and does well with them. - Ball dog who will fetch and also happily carry a ball around in her mouth for fun - Knows "sit" well - Tested well with a cat. We think she could probably do fine with cats with a slow introduction, some management and supervision. - Crate trained and readily goes in her crate at night to sleep - Doing well with her potty habits - Medium to higher energy and will enjoy regular playtime, training and exercise. Jeanette is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Portland, Oregon City, Milwaukie or Tualatin. $250 adoption fee Fostered in Portland, Oregon COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR JEANETTE ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Harley's heartbreaking story began in Oklahoma on a rural dirt road during winter where he was dumped as a 9 week old puppy. He was cold, skinny, sick and left to survive on his own. Our foster found him and he received the necessary vet care that saved his life. Today he is a healthy, friendly 4 year old Lab/cattle dog mix who loves people, kids, dogs but NO CATS! Harley has grown up on our foster's farm with lots of fenced yard to run and play in but what he loves most is being with people! His joy and love is contagious! Harley does not dig or climb fences. He is perfectly crate trained and feels comfort/safety in his crate. He rides well in the car but can get a little timid about it at times. Harley needs more work with leash training and his foster is helping by using a slip lead and a martingale collar gently with him. He is very food motivated and very smart! Harley loves to be spoiled with smoked beef marrow bones and lots of hugs, pets and kisses! He is looking for a family that will love him forever and give him time/patience to adjust to a new life. Story
Sasha is a loyal, affectionate 4-5 year old dog who bonds intensely with adults, especially men. She is house-trained, highly food-motivated, and plays wonderfully with other dogs in neutral spaces, respecting boundaries during social interactions. When children and other pets are absent, she exhibits zero behavioral issues. However, an unstable background has left her with a hyper-vigilant startle reflex and resource guarding (around food, toys, or her people). In a busy home with young children and a cat, these triggers have led to reactive nipping when startled. To guarantee her safety, Sasha needs a quiet, adult-only, single-pet home where she can be the sole focus, alongside safe dog socialization in neutral settings.
