Story
Magnus is a big, loving goof with a gentle heart. He enjoys long naps but needs a daily outing to stay happy—otherwise he can get a little stir-crazy. He’s well-trained, great on leash, and reliable off leash with a beeper. Magnus knows several commands including sit, down, stay, shake, circle, and heel. We’ve also recently started practicing store behavior in dog-friendly places like Cal Ranch. He is a 3-year-old lab/mastiff/hound mix.Magnus currently lives with two dogs (one male, one female) and a cat. He does best with female dogs, as he can sometimes get a bit too rowdy with other males. He may occasionally chase the cat, but overall has learned to coexist. Ideally, he would thrive in a home with no other pets or with a calm female dog.More than anything, Magnus deserves a loving home where he’ll get the time, attention, and companionship he needs.

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles including cancer. He now lives as a proud, playful tripod.  Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he was treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  He has since completed his treatment. He's Texas-tough and full of heart! If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jackson is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! He's been waiting for you at Spring Branch Rescue for a long time.  To add Jackson to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Jackson is available for LOCAL adoption only. His adoption fee includes all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##1714321##

Story
Tiffani is the perfect package of sweetness, smarts, and playfulness! This lovable girl is as well-rounded as they come and is looking for her forever family to shower with love and loyalty. Tiffani is a friend to everyone—she's fantastic with other dogs and would fit right into a multi-pet home. She’s also great with kids, making her an ideal family dog. With her gentle spirit and playful energy, she knows how to keep everyone entertained while also being incredibly affectionate. When it comes to manners, Tiffani is top-notch! She’s fully housebroken, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Her intelligence shines through, and she’s always up for learning new tricks or playing with any toy she can find (and she loves them all!). And did we mention her smile? Tiffani has the absolute best grin, which she’ll flash at you anytime she's in her happy place—which, for her, is almost all the time! If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a playful spirit, Tiffani is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and endless smiles.  If she's such a good dog, then why hasn't she been adopted yet? Have you ever heard of "black dog syndrome"?  Black Dog Syndrome is a phenomenon where black dogs, especially larger ones, are often overlooked in shelters and rescues, resulting in longer stays and lower adoption rates compared to lighter-colored dogs. By adopting a black dog, you’re not only gaining a devoted pet—you’re breaking stereotypes and saving a life! Tiffani is a well balanced dog that would fit seamlessly into just about any home but her black coat has put her at the bottom of the adoption pool. Look at her smile, look at her energy, look at the love in her eyes... she will be the perfect companion for someone, black fur and all! To add Tiffani to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. She is wagging her tail and wiggling her butt at just the thought of finding her forever home and her story is just beginning. Her next chapter could be with you! Story
Meet Sadie — the Sweet, Well-Mannered Homebody Looking for Her Calm Forever PlaceSadie is a 6.5 year old, 65lb Lab/Pit mix with a gentle, affectionate spirit who lives for quiet companionship and a cozy routine. She’s a true lady of leisure who spends most of her day snoozing nearby, enjoying belly rubs, and politely asking permission before getting on the couch, bed, or even approaching her food bowl. Her manners are impeccable—she’s fully house-trained, crate-comfortable, and knows her commands (possibly in Spanish, too!).Inside the home, Sadie is calm and easygoing. She takes several naps throughout the day, loves curling up next to her person, and will happily match your sleep-in schedule. Her favorite part of the day is early evening playtime, where she’ll gently chase a ball indoors for a few tosses and then curl back up for more rest. While Sadie is wonderful with people, she is not dog-social and becomes reactive around other dogs or outdoor triggers. A quiet home with fewer outside stressors is ideal for her. She walks beautifully on leash, but due to her reactivity, she may do best with limited outdoor exposure or in a low-traffic area. She rides well in the car, is not destructive, rarely barks, and has the cutest little husky-like howl when she wants to express herself.Sadie’s Dream Home:• A calm, low-activity household• No other dogs• Someone home often (she settles after brief separation but prefers company)• An apartment or house—yard optional• A predictable routine and plenty of soft places to napIf you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who asks politely for everything, naps like a champ, and wants nothing more than to be near her person, Sadie may be your perfect match. She’s a sweet, sensitive soul who will thrive in the right peaceful home.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Shadow – Your Gentle, Golden-Hearted CompanionShadow is an 8–10-month-old Labrador mix with a gentle, sensitive nature and the sweetest personality. Currently about 18 lbs and expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, he’s still gaining weight and confidence. Shadow can be shy at first, but with a little patience he quickly becomes very affectionate and loves staying close to his person. He’s a quiet pup who enjoys gentle affection, exploring at his own pace, and chewing on his favorite toys.He is crate trained and finds comfort in his crate, and he’s making great progress with house training as he transitions from pee pads to going outside. Shadow walks nicely on a leash, is food motivated, and is learning basic commands. He has a medium energy level and enjoys daily walks, playtime, and relaxing near his people. He does well with other dogs and would likely do well with calm, gentle children, but he is shy with strangers and needs slow introductions. Shadow would thrive in a calm, patient home that can give him the time and love he needs to build confidence. Once he trusts you, he becomes a deeply loyal and loving companion.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal.
