Story
https://foha.org/pet/queen2023/ All hail me, your Queen! Hey there! My name is Queen, and I am a big, beautiful pup with a larger-than-life personality and a royal charm. The great outdoors is where I truly shine—I absolutely love going for walks and can never get enough of them! Leash walking? Piece of cake! I’m always ready for an adventure. Hiking is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Whether it’s a winding trail through the woods or a peaceful park, I’m in my element. There’s just something magical about exploring nature—splashing my paws in streams, sniffing out all the new scents, and, of course, rolling in the grass (I just have to!). I’m also a fantastic travel buddy. Car rides? No problem! I’m happy to either gaze out the window, watching the world go by, or just settle in with a tasty treat. And speaking of treats… let’s talk food. I. Am. FOOD. DRIVEN. Seriously, if you’ve got snacks, you have my full attention. Training? Yep, I’ve had training sessions, and with the right motivation (ahem, treats), I’m eager to learn and show off my skills. But let’s be real—I like to think I’m the one in charge, so I need a patient and consistent owner who knows my breed and can keep me on the right track. I’ve been in the shelter for two whole years, just waiting for my perfect match. I may come off as a bit sensitive, so I’d thrive in a quiet home where I can feel safe and comfortable. But once I warm up to you? Oh boy, get ready for endless love, constant demands for attention, and yes—plenty of slobbery kisses! If you can handle that, I promise I’ll be your best girl. I’d do best as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention (because let’s face it, I deserve it!). A household without kids would also be ideal, given my size and my big, excitable heart. But don’t let my size fool you—I’m a total teddy bear and a great house guest. I love hanging out with my favorite people, cuddling up, and just being part of the family. If you’re looking for a majestic, affectionate, food-loving, adventure-ready companion, I’m your girl! Let’s take on the world, one walk (or treat) at a time. If you’d like to meet me, fill out an application (no obligation), and let’s make it happen. Hope to see you soon!

Story
Bertha’s Story Meet Bertha, a 3-year-old Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her paws. Bertha’s journey hasn’t been the easiest — she was found abandoned in an apartment after her owners moved out and left her behind. Thankfully, caring neighbors stepped in and did what they could for her before bringing her to a shelter so she could have a real chance at a better life. From there, Bertha went into a temporary foster home while waiting for a full-time foster, and that’s where her true personality began to shine. At first, Bertha was very shy and unsure, but it didn’t take long to see just how much love she had to give. With patience and kindness, she blossomed into the goofy, affectionate girl she truly is. Bertha absolutely loves to play and will never turn down a cozy lap to lay her big head on. She has lived with other dogs and has done well with them, but she would prefer a home without cats. When Bertha was rescued, she was very malnourished, so we are still working on helping her gain healthy weight. Her future family should expect her to be a big girl, likely around 110 lbs once she’s fully filled out — which just means 110 pounds of love. Bertha is looking for a family that will never leave her behind again — one that will give her the security, love, and couch space she deserves. In return, she’ll give you endless loyalty, laughs, and the sweetest snuggles. Could Bertha be the missing piece of your family? COREY – A Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold   Corey is the kind of dog who makes an impression the moment you meet him. With his big, handsome frame and soulful eyes, he has the presence of a true gentle giant. But behind that strong exterior is a calm, affectionate dog who simply wants to be near his people.   Corey carries himself with a quiet confidence and a peaceful nature. He’s not overly demanding or high-energy—he enjoys the simple things in life like relaxing in the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time beside the people he trusts. His steady temperament and gentle demeanor make him the kind of companion who brings a sense of calm wherever he goes.   Despite his large size, Corey is incredibly sweet and easygoing. He does well with other respectful dogs and would thrive in a home that appreciates a big dog with a soft heart. He’s the type of boy who will happily walk by your side and then settle nearby, content just to be part of the moment.   Corey is looking for a home that understands big breeds and can give him the love, stability, and space he deserves. In return, he’ll offer unwavering loyalty, companionship, and the quiet comfort that only a devoted dog can provide.   Corey is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. He will be fully vetted prior to adoption.   Location: Texas (available for transport) Adoption Fee: $350 plus health certificate and transport (if out of state – varies by location)   Adoption Process: The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. All Pep’s Pals Rescue adoptions include a virtual interview and video meet-and-greet.   Corey is ready to find a family who will appreciate his gentle nature and give him the forever home he deserves.   Apply to adopt at: pepspalsrescue.org/adopt   ##2541025##

Story
*Woof* I`m in a foster home. To meet me reach out to my foster caregiver at faithsanders25@gmail.comOnyx is a variety of quartz and symbolizes protection and strength. And yes, that is me, the beautiful Onyx with a strong heart and a willingness to protect our life together. Apparently, Onyx also symbolizes the absorption of negativity and if you have seen my super wiggles, then you will believe that I can do this. I am a whole-body expert wiggler and when you come home and see me wiggle, it will make your day (and your coming home will make my day). I will bury into your hand or body just hoping that you`ll give me lots of pets and cuddles. I am curious, friendly and a true delight to be around and so it is good that I am a big boy so there is just more delight of me. I have been enjoying my walks here and am looking to acquire basic doggie manners. I hear there are yummy treats involved -- and food is one of my favorite things in the world! Are you open to bringing a gorgeous and happy dog into your life? I may be the right fit!

*Woof* I`m in a foster home. To meet me reach out to my foster caregiver at emily.briskin@gmail.com!Check out my awesome TikTok post (my foster family is the best): https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP89y4f5G/My foster family says I`m a great dog. I came out of my shell very quickly and showed myself to be very friendly and sweet. I`m clearly people-oriented and eager to connect. I lived up to my reputation for good leash manners and really enjoyed a lick mat with peanut butter. Here are a few other things they said about me:- he is a very gentle giant, he absolutely loves to cuddle and shows a lot of affection. - he loves saying `hi` to other dogs and loves to play; he gets along great with our resident dog. - he loves to relax and take naps but is always ready for a nice walk; he is great on a leash! - he likes to lay by my side in his bed napping while I work. - he recently met some kids and did awesome with them. He even let them walk him! He was very calm with them and took treats very gently. I know some of the basic things, like sit, and am a good leash-walker, so we should be off to a good start when you take me home. Otherwise, I am a laid-back, easygoing pup who is always happy to be around my people. In sum, I am perfect -- and so ready to make your life perfect, too!
