Story
Vincent is a devoted, loyal dog who has been by my side since he was just 7 weeks old, nearly seven years ago, when I adopted him in Maryland. Vincent is a good dog at heart; affectionate, steady, and incredibly bonded to the people he trusts. New environments and unfamiliar situations can make him nervous at first, but once he has time to acclimate, he settles in beautifully and becomes a calm, loving companion. He does best when introductions are slow and expectations are clear. He would thrive with an experienced dog owner who understands anxious behaviors and is willing to continue working with him using patience and consistency. A home with a fenced backyard would be ideal, giving Vincent the space to relax and decompress without the stress of constant close encounters. On leash, he does well but can react if other dogs get too close, so a handler who is confident and attentive on walks is important. With proper management, structure, and a predictable routine, he is happiest.

*Woof* Meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW between 12pm-7pm daily!Onyx is a variety of quartz and symbolizes protection and strength. And yes, that is me, the beautiful Onyx with a strong heart and a willingness to protect our life together. Apparently, onyx also symbolizes the absorption of negativity and if you have seen my super wiggles, then you will believe that I can do this. I am a whole-body expert wiggler and when you come home and see me wiggle, it will make your day (and your coming home will make my day). I am a true delight to be around and so it is good that I am a big boy so there is just more delight of me. I have been enjoying my walks here and am looking to acquire basic doggie manners. I hear there are yummy treats involved -- and food is one of my favorite things in the world! Are you open to bringing a gorgeous and happy dog into your life? I may be the right fit!

Story
*Woof* I`m in a foster home. To meet me reach out to my foster caregiver at vonfoer2@gmail.com!Check out my awesome TikTok post (my foster family is the best): https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP89y4f5G/My foster family says I`m a great dog. I came out of my shell very quickly and showed myself to be very friendly and sweet. I`m clearly people-oriented and eager to connect. I lived up to my reputation for good leash manners and really enjoyed a lick mat with peanut butter. Here are a few other things they said about me:- he is a very gentle giant, he absolutely loves to cuddle and shows a lot of affection. - he loves saying `hi` to other dogs and loves to play; he gets along great with our resident dog. - he loves to relax and take naps but is always ready for a nice walk; he is great on a leash! - he likes to lay by my side in his bed napping while I work. I know some of the basic things, like sit, and am a good leash-walker, so we should be off to a good start when you take me home. Otherwise, I am a laid-back, easygoing pup who is always happy to be around my people. In sum, I am perfect -- and so ready to make your life perfect, too!

Story
Hello! This is Kori. She is 5 yrs old. An sweet energetic girl. She loves people and is also very affectionate. Kori came to me as a boarding and daycare client however her previous owners went through some life changes and couldnt keep her. They were considering giving her to the shelter however I didn't think she would do well in that environment. She does get nervous in new noisy places so i decided to foster. I run a boarding business so shes been around all size dogs. She does well with male dogs. Other females take some warming up to but in time she's ready to play. She has been around small children via her previous home and loves children. She does know the basics (Sit, Stay, Down etc.) She is house and crate trained as well. She is an free adoption. She is coming with everything needed (Beds, Crate, food). I am also offering to help pay 50% towards training to help her transition into her new home. Kori is such a good dog. She would make a great addition to the family.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/queen2023/ All hail me, your Queen! Hey there! My name is Queen, and I am a big, beautiful pup with a larger-than-life personality and a royal charm. The great outdoors is where I truly shine—I absolutely love going for walks and can never get enough of them! Leash walking? Piece of cake! I’m always ready for an adventure. Hiking is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Whether it’s a winding trail through the woods or a peaceful park, I’m in my element. There’s just something magical about exploring nature—splashing my paws in streams, sniffing out all the new scents, and, of course, rolling in the grass (I just have to!). I’m also a fantastic travel buddy. Car rides? No problem! I’m happy to either gaze out the window, watching the world go by, or just settle in with a tasty treat. And speaking of treats… let’s talk food. I. Am. FOOD. DRIVEN. Seriously, if you’ve got snacks, you have my full attention. Training? Yep, I’ve had training sessions, and with the right motivation (ahem, treats), I’m eager to learn and show off my skills. But let’s be real—I like to think I’m the one in charge, so I need a patient and consistent owner who knows my breed and can keep me on the right track. I’ve been in the shelter for two whole years, just waiting for my perfect match. I may come off as a bit sensitive, so I’d thrive in a quiet home where I can feel safe and comfortable. But once I warm up to you? Oh boy, get ready for endless love, constant demands for attention, and yes—plenty of slobbery kisses! If you can handle that, I promise I’ll be your best girl. I’d do best as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention (because let’s face it, I deserve it!). A household without kids would also be ideal, given my size and my big, excitable heart. But don’t let my size fool you—I’m a total teddy bear and a great house guest. I love hanging out with my favorite people, cuddling up, and just being part of the family. If you’re looking for a majestic, affectionate, food-loving, adventure-ready companion, I’m your girl! Let’s take on the world, one walk (or treat) at a time. If you’d like to meet me, fill out an application (no obligation), and let’s make it happen. Hope to see you soon!
