Story
*Woof* I`m in a foster home. To meet me reach out to my foster caregiver at faithsanders25@gmail.com.Onyx is an 80lb cuddle bug who loves to play but can also appreciate a good nap. He loves to meet new people regardless of age, as long as they agree to never stop petting him. He is crate trained and potty trained and would make a fantastic companion for a single person or even a family with children. Onyx is a curious big guy always up for a long walk through the neighborhood. He is currently working on loose leash walking but responds well to positive reinforcement and is extremely food motivated. He knows basic commands such as sit, stay, down, and leave it but is eager and willing to learn more. If you are looking for a gentle giant to join your family, Onyx may be the one for you!

Story
Titan is a remarkable 2.5 yr old Cane Corso/mastiff mix who has made an incredible recovery and is ready for the right long-term home. Upon arrival at the shelter, he was severely underweight at 78 lbs due to neglect. Over the past 5 months, he's thrived in a stable home and is now 125 lbs, his healthy target.Titan is deeply bonded to his person and is responsive and obedient. He's super polite, walks beautifully on leash, rides calmly in the car, and loves to play fetch or relax near his people. He's affectionate, people-oriented, and has shown no resource guarding."It depends" with other dogs. He's socially interested and has done well with some dogs, but not with others. He does best with calm, structured introductions. Consistent with his breeding, he finds group-play stressful.I'm taking a new job and will be away from home alot. Seeking an experienced, loving, stable home for him. Fee includes supplies and equipment - and is intended to ensure a committed, prepared home.

Story
If your ideal day involves minimal cardio, maximum relaxation, and a whole lot of love, then Cindy is the girl you’ve been searching for. At 8 years old, this gorgeous brindle Mastiff mix has officially traded in the high-energy antics of puppyhood for the finer things in life: peace, quiet, and premium comfort. Cindy is looking for the perfect `retirement home` where she can live out her golden years in leisure. She is the ultimate low-maintenance companion who asks for very little but gives so much gentle affection in return. If you have a quiet home, a soft spot for seniors, and an empty space on your floor (and in your heart) for a gentle giant, Cindy is ready to move in and start her retirement with you.Because she is 8 years young, CIndy qualifies for the Sponsored by Simba`s Seniors for Seniors program: no adoption fee for any Senior 65 and up or any military veteran. This pet is available at:Brandywine Valley SPCA4 DC Village Lane SWWashington, DC 20032

Story
Hi there! My name is Simbalucci, but my foster family lovingly calls me Stanley Tucci, and I can`t wait to meet you!I`m a sweet, friendly guy with a heart as big as my wagging tail. My foster family says I`m a total wiggle worm whenever I get excited, which is pretty often! My idea of the perfect day? A long car ride, lots of cuddles with my favorite people, and then a cozy nap on my dog bed with an enrichment toy.I`m house-trained and do all my business outside when my foster family takes me out. I already know how to sit for my meals and happily offer a paw when you ask. I`m also very treat-motivated, so I`m excited to keep learning with my future family! While I love adventures, I can get overwhelmed by busy environments and loud noises. If you already have a confident, friendly dog who enjoys canine companionship, I may be happy to join the pack!If I sound like the perfect companion for you, I`d love to meet you. I promise to greet you with lots of kisses and happy tail wags the moment we`re together!

Story
https://foha.org/pet/queen2023/ All hail me, your Queen! Hey there! My name is Queen, and I am a big, beautiful pup with a larger-than-life personality and a royal charm. The great outdoors is where I truly shine—I absolutely love going for walks and can never get enough of them! Leash walking? Piece of cake! I’m always ready for an adventure. Hiking is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Whether it’s a winding trail through the woods or a peaceful park, I’m in my element. There’s just something magical about exploring nature—splashing my paws in streams, sniffing out all the new scents, and, of course, rolling in the grass (I just have to!). I’m also a fantastic travel buddy. Car rides? No problem! I’m happy to either gaze out the window, watching the world go by, or just settle in with a tasty treat. And speaking of treats… let’s talk food. I. Am. FOOD. DRIVEN. Seriously, if you’ve got snacks, you have my full attention. Training? Yep, I’ve had training sessions, and with the right motivation (ahem, treats), I’m eager to learn and show off my skills. But let’s be real—I like to think I’m the one in charge, so I need a patient and consistent owner who knows my breed and can keep me on the right track. I’ve been in the shelter for two whole years, just waiting for my perfect match. I may come off as a bit sensitive, so I’d thrive in a quiet home where I can feel safe and comfortable. But once I warm up to you? Oh boy, get ready for endless love, constant demands for attention, and yes—plenty of slobbery kisses! If you can handle that, I promise I’ll be your best girl. I’d do best as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention (because let’s face it, I deserve it!). A household without kids would also be ideal, given my size and my big, excitable heart. But don’t let my size fool you—I’m a total teddy bear and a great house guest. I love hanging out with my favorite people, cuddling up, and just being part of the family. If you’re looking for a majestic, affectionate, food-loving, adventure-ready companion, I’m your girl! Let’s take on the world, one walk (or treat) at a time. If you’d like to meet me, fill out an application (no obligation), and let’s make it happen. Hope to see you soon!
