Story
This darling, bonded, daddy and son duo are sweet, funny and so charming! Charlie and Cody are a bonded pair of Poodle mixes, each weighing 12 lbs. Cody appears to be a poodle / Maltese and it looks like daddy Charlie may also have some dachshund. In the mix. Whatever they are, they are curly haired cuties that will keep you laughing with their antics. Charlie is about 8 years old and Cody is about 3 years old. They were found as strays in central Washington and were clearly terribly neglected and in horrible condition. After they were shaved down, their adorable little faces emerged. And even though they also needed extensive vet care, their friendly, affectionate, happy little personalities also started to come through. Charlie had an injury that required his left eye to be removed. He also had an old injury to his jaw. Both are now very healthy pups that have also been neutered and fully vaccinated. They were very shy when first going into their foster home, but within just a day, they were following their people around and asking for affection. They also are terrific with the other dogs in their foster home. They love to spend their day running and playing with their foster siblings, and then it’s time to curl up together for a nap. At bedtime they will settle down in a crate together, but they prefer to sleep with their people. A retired couple would be just perfect for this sweet as can be pair. They must have a fenced yard and their people must be experienced dog owners.

Story
Please Apply at www.welcomepawsrescue.org Please meet adorable and loving boy, Jjingco! Jjingco was abandoned by his previous owner along with three siblings who ended up at a high kill shelter, fortunately our Korean rescue partner was able to get him out of the shelter on the day of euthanasia. Jjingco is an outgoing, loving, sweet and friendly boy who would love nothing more than to find his forever home. Jjingco loves to be around his people and enjoys playing with other dogs, his coat recently groomed short.! We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog. Jjingco is patiently waiting! MORE ABOUT JJINGCO! ❤️Name: Jjingco ❤️Age: 3 years ❤️Gender: Neutered male ❤️Weight: 9 kilograms ❤️Breed: Poodle (Black) ❤️Vaccination/Neutering: Fully vaccinated / Neutered ❤️Currently in Korea 👉Relationship with Adults: Extremely friendly. 👉Relationship with kids: Extremely friendly but supervisions are recommended around small children. 👉Relationship with Other Dogs: He gets along well with the foster fur sibling. Jjingco used to live with 3 Poodles prior to surrender to the shelter. He seemed to be stressed and wary of the new environments when he came to the shelter. He avoided playing with other dogs in the beginning, but after being decompressed and well cared by foster parents, he warmed up to other furry friends. He is gentle and docile. 👉Relationship with Cats: Jjingco shows no interest in stray cats. 👉House Training: Yes, 100%. He can also use pads when the situations don't allow him to go outside to relief himself. 👉Energy Level: When outdoors, Jjingco's energy level significantly increases, but he tends to stick close during walks and doesn't tend to pull or misbehave. 👉Walks: Jjingco loves walks and follows well. 👉Separation Anxiety/Barking: Given that he spent a significant amount of time in the shelter after being separated from the owner, some level of separation anxiety may be expected, although there is no excessive barking.

Story
Meet Charlie! He is a 3 year old, 50 pound golden doodle. He is an absolute doll and probably the most chill doodle we’ve ever had, although he could use some leash training. Charlie was brought to us after his owner passed away and the neighbors had to find somewhere for him to go. He’s house trained and good with all people. He met all of the dogs and was playing on the same day! He is just the sweetest boy. He rides fine in the car and is good at the vets office. He loves all humans and is looking for someone to call his family!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 7, 2023, 9:24 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Freddy Johnny is an approximately 1.5- 2-year-old, 20 lb neutered male mystery mix (maybe poodle?).  He was assessed by our rescue partner to be social and friendly with humans and other dogs. Foster Update: This sweet boy has an adorable “resting grump face” and soulful old eyes that belie his sweet, cuddly nature and joyful approach to life. Freddy is an extremely athletic boy and super smart. He has demonstrated an ability to get in/out/over/under/through just about any obstacle. Thankfully, he’s also very eager to please, so once you make it clear what is not allowed, he generally honors your wishes.  Freddy was super easy to house train and has not made a single mistake during our first 48 hours with him. He easily learns new commands, including "place" to go in his crate. He settles down easily at bedtime or when crated during the day (after an occasional loud, momentary objection). We have not seen any destructive tendencies. He loves all the food and treats we give him and is starting to fill out nicely, without guarding or any food aggression. Freddy is an absolute dream to cuddle, gazing up lovingly with those soulful brown eyes. He also enjoys being groomed and loves playing fetch and hide and seek with toys. He could play fetch forever, but also is easy to redirect, and he chews his precious stuffies gently.  Freddy love his walks and hiking lights up his spirit! He’s mostly good on leash, although he does have reactivity toward some other dogs. Freddy would benefit from ongoing leash training and someone who can advocate for his space when passing by other dogs. While Freddy may adjust to meeting new dogs with a slow introduction, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home.  It seems Freddy reserves all of his affection for humans.  He loves and wants them all to be his people. He’s shown no obvious preference for gender, height, age -- anyone with a lap and love to give is great -- although he can be a bit too rambunctious around really young children. With adult humans, he is very submissive and quick to roll on his back when reprimanded. He tends to bark at the TV, but mostly just when it turns on, which is kind of cute.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was being dropped off at the City of San Bernardino shelter right when our rescue partner happened to be there.  Lucky him!  She scoped him up and he arrives in Seattle on Nov 12. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.December 8, 2023, 5:50 pm

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Gabriella - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! The name Gabriella often is associated with someone that is calm, strong and independent, a homebody and trustworthy. Yep, I'd say that kinda fits me! Note from foster mom: Affectionately dubbed Miss Gabbers, is a shy sweet gal that is looking for her fur-ever home. It will take awhile for her to acclimate and show off her happy side. It took almost a month for her to let me pet her without flinching and another month before I saw her butt wiggles and happy hops! She enjoys long naps and snuggles with other dogs but no human snuggles. Tummy rubs are a favorite once she gets comfortable with you. She very much enjoys her space and doesn't like being picked up or grabbed. She does love destroying Amazon packages and cardboard is her enemy!! Not a chance that any evil boxes will sneak past her. :) Gabriella loves other dogs and is obsessed with my cat. A home with other 4 legged siblings for her to feel comfortable and take her cues from would be most beneficial for her. She is house and crate trained. She loves her crate and with door left open will use it for her naps. Gabriella would do best in a quiet home with her person either retired or that works from home where she can get lots of one on one TLC. With a patient family that will give her the time and space she needs along with some gentle words and kind pets, she will show her true beautiful nature. If you're looking for a low maintenance companion that enjoys her quiet time, she just may be a perfect fit for your family!!

Story
Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter is willing to pay the fees & charges we will accept PayPal. **** WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE VERY SWEET MR PEPPERMINT AS HE HAS A PENDING MEET & GREET. **** Poor Peppermint was destined to be a breeding machine & live his life in a cage & just brought out to breed. But we stopped that from happening by bidding on him at an auction in Missouri & many others on this day along with some breeder releases. Living his life outside in the stinking heat day after day then in the freezing cold in winter time in a metal tin can of a shed was over. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. It’s soul destroying to think what these dogs were going to have to go through. He is one of the lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 15 breeding mums & dads & puppies who all they knew was to breed in a life of hell & then being sold to start the cycle all over again. Of course when we rescue these amazing souls they have had no veterinary care whatsoever & we have to start from scratch. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Peppermint how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home. Peppermint was bought back to the WA state where he now is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Peppermint is such a sweetheart of a boy & come along way in such a short amount of time. When we first rescued him, it was very clear that someone was rough with him & trust had to be built as he would originally try to run away & hide. He would try to be playful in his foster home by running up & grabbing hold of your pants or nip your bottom to get attention from his foster mum then take off. But she would call him & he would come & run back & forth. Now she calls him & he comes or she turns around & there he is. He still does not come to his foster dad but is not worried about him, he is just being cheeky with him. For everything he has been through, he adapted quite quickly to his very devoted foster home. He went into his foster home where he knew nothing at all but was learning. All he knew was the life of being in a breeding environment. He had no clue to eat out of a bowl or what the food was he was being given. Peppermint picked up the routine in his foster home & now his personality has really began to shine. He would need time to adjust in his new home. Peppermint adores being picked up & held & cuddled his foster mum said & he just wants to be loved & he loves them back. She said he really just wants to have fun with his foster siblings & be loved & fed. The reality is, the foster homes are his real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. This boy loves to play with anyone who will play with him. He is a very cheeky little guy & is still learning his puppy manners. He loves puppies too. He must go to a forever home with younger dogs & this mandatory to make him comfortable in his transition to his forever home. Peppermint eats clean in his foster home, meaning raw fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains & supplements. At first he did not want to eat at all because the food they are fed is of the lowest quality imaginable. But once he understood what was going on he now devours his food. He is now good with his baths & is now good being dried with the hairdryer. He would still need work walking on his harness & leash as it’s all completely new to him. He does not discriminate against breeds. Peppermint rides well in the car & considering the only times we know of was when he was rescued & going to the vets with his foster family. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. Peppermint as you can imagine spent the first part of his life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Peppermint where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Peppermint is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. Peppermint has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in his foster home & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Peppermint is roughly 7 months old. He is a miniture poodle, what he is mixed with we are not sure. Male, he is roughly 9.8 lbs & he is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. He is microchipped & had some dermatitis when we rescued him & is up to date on all his shots including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. We have spent & will continue to spend far more on Peppermint with purchasing him from an auction. Bringing him to WA with his travel costs, to WA. All of his medical care in WA & Omaha, including, neutered by laser, shots, vet visits etc & bringing him to WA then his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even come close to covering what we have spent on Peppermint. Peppermint has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had him around small children & he does wonderful but we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Peppermint was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Peppermint’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Peppermint potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Peppermint & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Peppermint who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Peppermint has an adoption fee of $1585 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
