🐾💚Meet Remy💚🐾 16 Pounds of Pure Joy Seeks Full-Time Running Buddy & Co-Sleeper! Hello potential best friend! My name is Remy, and I am a one-year-old, 16-pound bundle of dynamic energy, sharp brains, and unconditional love. I am officially neutered, fully up-to-date on all my vaccines, and ready to find my permanent home base. If you are looking for a sidekick who is equal parts athletic champion and expert bedtime cuddler, look no further! My Daily Routine & Favorite ActivitiesI might be on the smaller side, but my heart and my energy levels are absolutely massive! I am looking for an active human who loves to move just as much as I do. My absolute favorite things in the world include:The Need for Speed: I love to run! Whether we are jogging around the neighborhood, hitting a trail, or sprinting in the yard, I am your guy. Toy Time: I am a toy enthusiast. If it squeaks, bounces, or can be fetched, I will happily play with it for hours. Making Best Friends: I am incredibly social. I love every single dog I meet and consider everyone a future playmate. My Special Talents & Treats My foster family tells me I am incredibly smart. I pick up on things super fast and love having a job to do or a puzzle to solve. If you want to teach me some cool new tricks, all you need is a bag of freeze-dried treats. I will do absolute backflips for them! I am highly motivated, eager to please, and ready to show you just how fast a clever guy like me can learn. The Bedtime Routine (My Best Feature)While I am a high-speed athlete by day, I have a very strict rule for the nighttime: I sleep in the big bed with my person. Once the sun goes down and my battery finally hits zero, there is nothing I love more than curling up right next to you under the blankets. I am the ultimate personal space invader in the absolute best way possible. My Ideal Human I would thrive in an active home where I get plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. Having another playful dog in the house would be a dream come true, but as long as I get to run and go on adventures, I will be a happy camper. If you think you can keep up with my speed and have a Remy-sized spot under your duvet, please fill out an application today. I'm ready to run right into your heart! A yard is required and another playful pet highly recommended Adoption Process Application Submission Start by completing our adoption application on our website. Story
Est. DOB: 07/11/2014 Current Weight: 13lbs Adoption fee: $95 (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Meet Champ, a remarkable little poodle mix with a heart that's bigger than any obstacle life has placed in his way. Rescued from Mexico, Champ is blind and is also believed to have significant hearing loss. While he experiences the world differently than most dogs, he has adapted with incredible resilience and simply wants what every dog deserves—a loving family to call his own. Gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully quiet, Champ enjoys the company of calm dogs and most likely gets along well with cats. He will thrive in a peaceful home where he can build confidence, learn the layout of his surroundings, and spend his days relaxing near the people he loves. Life with Champ is all about the simple things: a soft bed, a predictable routine, gentle affection, and a safe space to explore. Because he cannot see and likely has very limited hearing, a home without stairs is the safest choice and will help them navigate with confidence. Special needs doesn't mean less love—it simply means loving in a different way. Champ has so much affection to share with the person willing to give them a chance. His quiet spirit, trusting nature, and unwavering appreciation for kindness make every moment together incredibly rewarding. If you're ready to open your heart to a truly extraordinary companion, Champ is waiting to show you that love doesn't depend on sight or sound—it simply comes from the heart. Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Story
Est. DOB: 07/11/2023 Current Weight: 14lbs Adoption fee: $495 (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Nordi is a sweet female Poodle mix who is looking for a very special person to help her discover that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Nordi is extremely shy and cautious, and she needs someone who will be patient and willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace. She is a quiet girl who would thrive in a calm, peaceful home without young children, where she can take her time building trust and confidence. Nordi may not be the dog who runs up to greet you right away, but with patience, kindness, and consistency, we believe her loving personality will slowly begin to shine. If you're looking for a gentle soul and are willing to give her the time she needs, Nordi could be the special girl you've been waiting for. Our beautiful sweetheart of a soul Bart has been to hell & back & yet he still loves humans. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. We cannot even begin to imagine what Bart witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. How Bart ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. He then ended up staying at the rescuers base the whole time until we rescued him. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Bart & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Casper out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Bart & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Bart is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Bart was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Bart was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Bart is a very old soul & a funny little chap. He is a wonderful soul inside & out. He is a very gentle patient little chap. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection except for a brief amount of time. His foster mum said when he wants to go upstairs to bed he does a little dance & talks to you. He is very independent. You can tell him “up” then he will jump up on the chair & sit there with you. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a very sweet little guy & transitioned quite quickly even with the change in language. His foster mum & dad said he is just so lovely & so easy going. He is never going to be a pack leader & will follow the other dogs around but is independent as well. He can be the only dog in the home as he likes dogs but just has zero interest in playing with them. He just enjoys doing his own thing. He is smart & picks up on things quickly. He will also want to cuddle in bed with you but you need to pick him up & put him on there. But that being said he can jump high when he wants to. He loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on him. Bart eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Bart has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Bart is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Bart adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Bart & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He now loves his toys in his foster home. Bart has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He gets super excited to go for car rides. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Bart we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He does not like crates especially after everything he has been through. We are also looking for a forever home for Bart where someone is home during the day or Bart can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. Bart is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Bart has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs in his loving foster home. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Bart’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Bart is now roughly 14 lbs & 5 years old & a miniture poodle & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, neutered, had a full dental with x-rays & we will be getting him another dental. Had his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Bart with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Bart has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Bart with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Bart was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Bart friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Bart potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Bart & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Bart who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Bart has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
