**** WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE BEAUTIFUL SARAH, AS HE HAS A PENDING MEET & GREET WITH A LOVELY FOREVER HOME. ****
We will never ever give up to try to help as many beautiful loves & we will never ever stop from fighting to save their lives & Sarah is one of these angels who drives us to keep fighting for them. He is so very sweet, gentle, kind, soft natured & loving & just wants to be loved, that being said, Sarah ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly in China. Oh the sheer horror & evil. What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. It’s absolutely soul destroying to think about the horrific situation he ended up in. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Sarah & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Sarah out, his fate was a torturous death. She transferred Sarah to her own rescue & covid had hit & the waiting began. Along with Sarah & many other sweet souls she got well & they waited to come to the US. This is a very extremely expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as Sarah & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Sarah is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs.
Sarah was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough.
Sarah was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home.
This beautiful little soul has seen so much & experienced so much in his life on this time on earth. His beautiful eyes just look at you with such kindness & relief knowing he is safe. Another sweetheart who just wants to be loved. His foster mum said he might be shy with some people at first until he knows & trusts them but he wants to be somebody’s everything. Soul destroying to think about where beautiful Sarah ended up, it’s just not right this will never ever be alright. Sarah’s foster mum said he is such a smart fellow, he worked out instantly how to run up & down the hardwood stairs in their home.
Sarah is obsessed with food as he is making up for lost time. He is still skinny but adores eating as his foster mum also makes home cooked food for him. He is extremely motivated by food & treats. He loves a good treat & always wants them to keep coming. He has put on weight instantly since being in the rescue.
Did we mention he enjoys a good outfit, yes he does.
Sarah was adopted for several days but was returned because his mum was starting to get asthma around him.
This poor boy cannot catch a break. He was adopted again for several months then returned. We were told that Sarah had now developed separation anxiety in his new home & would bark & cry when he was left home alone. We were also told that he was rejected from 2 doggy daycares & that a trainer & behavioralist said the only solution was to drug him. Mind you, he never had this with us. So we put him back into our daycare & he had no problems with anxiety at all & went about his day as if he never ever left. We received updates saying Sarah greeted them as if he had always been there & went back to being social with the other dogs & enjoying their company & was the perfect little guy. So we are not sure what was going on there.
Sarah is so sweet & so very loving & easy his foster mum said. He is one of the sweetest boys who just wants you to love him.
Sarah is learning to walk on his harness & leash & he would still need continued work, walking on a harness & leash is all new to he but is learning & doing well. Sarah is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Sarah adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Sarah is so good with being bathed. We have had him with many breeds of dogs & he has done well with different size dogs & adores dogs but also enjoys his alone time to & doing his own thing.
Sarah’s foster mum said his new family would have to be very careful when opening doors as he will want to follow them & go with them where they go. He adores his foster mum & dad. He also loves the company of other dogs, he enjoys sleeping with them & laying on them during the day when he is not following his foster mum around.
Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Sarah & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He is making up for lost time & who could blame him. Sarah will want to sleep in bed with you. In his foster home he sleeps really close to his foster mum & easily jumps on the bed to go to sleep. He needs a home who will let him sleep with them. He knows when it’s the last potty time in his foster home & when it’s time to go to bed.
Sarah has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride & he will try & sit in your lap just to be close with you so we recommend his new forever home have a doggy car seat for him. He is such a good boy. He just sits back & enjoys the journey once he knows he is he is safe. With Sarah we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. We are also looking for a forever home for Sarah where someone is home during the day or he can go with her people wherever possibly he can go with them. We do not want him left alone all day by himself.
Sarah is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding.
Sarah has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company so we are only looking for a home where he can be with another dog or dogs only. We currently have him with other dogs in his loving foster home & he has thrived being with other dogs & built his confidence. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs roughly his size or a little bigger is mandatory. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Sarah’s new forever home.
We also do not want to put Sarah back into apartment living, we want him to have the ability to run around in a backyard this dog friends & not have to be walked in the city in his previous home.
Sarah is now roughly 13.6 lbs & has put on quite a bit of weight since coming to the US with us, he was beyond skinny but looks good now. He is 5 years old & perhaps a poodle what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, & male, he was treated for mange with antibiotics & medicated baths & fully recovered. He had a dental/scale & polish along with dental x-rays. He had his eye one day all of a sudden become blood shot & appeared right have burst a blood vessel in his eye. We took him to our vets & he received a schirmer tear test, a flurosceine eye test & received eye meds for his eye. Our vet suspected possibly old injury but it has been healing lovely. He is heart worm negative, he is microchipped, up to date on his shots, had his shots including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies, treated with credelio & dewormed.
We have spent far more on Sarah with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare costs, alone bringing him through cargo, without anything else then on top of that paying for his medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish & x-rays, neuter by laser, treated for mange, medicated baths, shots, microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering.
Sarah has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children, dogs & cats.
We were not there when Sarah was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is.
As with all of our rescues & Sarah friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Sarah potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.
We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Sarah & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Sarah who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet lad.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Sarah has an adoption fee of $950 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
