Story
Cleo is a very good girl, shes high energy and needs a yard to run around. I have had her since she was about 3-4 months old she was abandoned and she is very sweet she is about 9/10 months now. I take care of my grandmother and Cleo is too much for her and my other elderly dog. I work full time and I feel as if she deserves a better life with someone who can keep up with her. This is a very hard decision for me to make I hope she can find a lovely forever home. If you feel as if she isn’t a good fit for you please return her to me I want her to have the best life she can and I will accept her back.

Mutt German Shepherd Dog

Keller, TX
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Bronco will be 8 months old on February 9th and was adopted from a shelter when he was 2 months old. He is a very sweet boy who loves people and other dogs, he can be fearful at times and might require some time to warm up to certain people, but after that he is the best companion ever, very goofy boy who loves to play and run around. He would do best in a home with a back yard where he has regular, free access to explore and sniff. Walks alone are not sufficient for him, as outdoor exploration helps him stay calm and regulated. He thrives with structure and consistency and needs a very predictable daily routine. He would do well in a home with another dog for companionship, or with someone who is home often and able to provide regular engagement, training, and attention. A home with no kids is preferred. He’s a large dog and needs an experienced, physically capable owner who understands working or high-energy breeds and can continue his training/confidence building.

Story
Freckles is three years old. He was a rescue return. He likes to sleep in bed with us and can catch plushies with his paws! He is beautiful. He likes to talk a lot by holding a ball in his mouth and making growly noises when you get home. He loves car rides and walks. If he got along with our other older dogs, there's no way we would let him go.

Story
These two dogs were found on a Sunday in Texas after their beloved owner, who had cared for them their entire lives, could no longer do so due to dementia and had to be placed into a care facility. During that difficult transition, the dogs were left without consistent care and were later found without collars and underweight. When a car door was opened, they climbed in together, trusting that it meant safety. They were taken to a nearby vet and by an incredible coincidence it had been their vet home for years. The staff recognized them immediately and confirmed their history. Shortly after, the owners daughter formally relinquished ownership. Now, these bonded senior dogs are looking for a new place to land, one filled with patience, comfort, and love.

Story
Sadie is 5 years old and she has been with us since she was about 7 weeks old. Recent living and employment changes have made it nearly impossible to keep up with her needs and she is in need of immediate rehoming to a family who would be a better fit for her. She is very sweet, social and highly energetic. She would thrive best in a home with a backyard and someone who can give her a lot more attention than I am able to at this time. She loves trips to The Home Depot, PetSmart and long walks at the park. If you want a dog to greet you excitedly every time you come home like you've been gone for months, look no further. You will be her favorite part of the day every time you come home for at least 5-10 minutes. She is great with kids, cats and other dogs. Can be protective. Feels threatened by outside noises, huskies, people wearing hoods/hats/helmets, people on carts, motorcycles, bicycles, 4 wheelers, etc. Not recommended for the elderly or those with anxiety or PTSD.

Story
Hi! My name's Deuce (though I don't really know that). I'm a standard Bernedoodle and I'm 3 years old. I can't wait to meet my furever family! I'm 57 pounds but don't let my weight fool you, I'm tall and long. I'm just a little lanky right now until I add some weight. I love my foster family, including my foster sister, who is half my size. I wish she liked to play more. By play more, I really mean play ALL OF THE TIME. I have so much energy and I don't know how to fetch or play with toys, so playing with other dogs is my only outlet. I made a Great Dane friend. She likes to play, but even she gets tired after a few hours and I still want to play. Maybe it's because I'm happy, safe, and have a full belly or maybe I still have a lot of puppy energy. My ideal furever family will have one or two siblings that like to play as much as me. I'm good with dogs of all sizes and I encountered a cat at the vet, and that was fine too. Don't get me wrong. I can definitely settle when it's required. My foster mom has been teaching me about quiet time in the morning while she has her coffee and during the day when she's working. I loved my foster mom right from the start but it took me a little while to warm up to my foster dad. I have some stranger danger when it comes to men. I haven't met any kids yet but as long as they're nice to me, I bet I'll love them too, especially if they give me lots of pets and cuddles and let me kiss them. My foster mom says I have so much love to give. I'm just a gentle giant. If I'm not playing, I want to cuddle and give kisses. I love giving kisses. I love being with her all of the time. I have some separation anxiety. I get nervous when she leaves (even if my foster dad is home) or when I'm left alone. My foster mom can see me through the camera. I pace until she comes home. I hope my furever mommy works from home. I just want to be her shadow. I'm learning so much. I know a couple of commands, like sit and come. I also know what "no" means, though it makes me sad to hear it. We're working on lie down. I also learned that I don't like chicken. I like beef. I do have some food anxiety (but no food aggression). I really prefer that my foster mom hold my bowl while I eat. I've been on a few car rides to my foster grandparents' house for dinner. If I'm honest, the car makes me a little nervous too. I'll do it, but it's not one of my favorite things like it is for my foster sister. I'm a pretty good walker on a leash and can behave in stores and I wasn't scared of the vet, so I'm a great companion and up for anything, except maybe getting groomed. The sound of clippers and even the sight of a blow dryer scares me. If interested in Deuce, please fill out our adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.
