We found Ellie in early November in rural Louisiana & she had clearly been fending for herself for quite some time. She was emaciated, tick-covered, & living off whatever scraps she could find in the woods. Since then, she has blossomed into a healthy 50-lb bundle of pure sweetness. She is extremely affectionate and people-oriented. She is crate trained and housebroken. She walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. Her favorite toy is her large Kong (which she throws & chases herself), & will chew for hours on a large beef bone. She does show some fear responses to loud noises & sudden movements, but that has decreased over time. To make her transition as smooth as possible, her adoption includes a large crate & crate pad, large dog bed, harness, & leash. She would thrive as either a single pet or in a home with other friendly dogs around her size. Unfortunately, our smaller dog doesn't want to share her space which is the only reason why we are trying to find her a new home.

Willow is a super sweet and cuddly dog. She is 6 years old and her exact birthday is 02/26/2020. Willow has been loved and cared all of her life. She is super playful and loves stuffed animals with squeakers. She doesn't bark unless she gets to play roughly. She is a whiny girl if she doesn't get your attention and has the cutest puppy dog eyes ever! She would be a great family dog or even a solo companion. I just wish for her to go to a home where she can get taken out more regularly and gets to have fun playing and cuddling. She loves people more than anything. She gets along with cats, but she sometimes gets to excited. She knows what a leash is and what it means, but she isn't properly leash trained. She loves sleeping in bed with you and lays in-between your legs or behind your legs. She loves having her own blanket and being covered up. She is super defensive with other dogs.She is completely free to a good home. I will also have a bag of her food, her two toys, her water dish.

She was malnourished, limping and in severe pain.We took Pepper to the Urgent care and they told us that she was shot with a BB and it shattered her hip (femoral head) in 10 pieces.You could literally hear her hip crunch. She was in pain and suffered this way for a long time. She was full of fleas and ticks.She had FHO surgery and is now doing great!Pepper is a 2 year old and weighs about 12 lbs. She loves to have fun and run and play with her furry friends!Pepper needs some time to warm up to strangers but with some treats she can become their best friend!!
