We found Ellie in early November in rural Louisiana & she had clearly been fending for herself for quite some time. She was emaciated, tick-covered, & living off whatever scraps she could find in the woods. Since then, she has blossomed into a healthy 50-lb bundle of pure sweetness. She is extremely affectionate and people-oriented. She is crate trained and housebroken. She walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. Her favorite toy is her large Kong (which she throws & chases herself), & will chew for hours on a large beef bone. She does show some fear responses to loud noises & sudden movements, but that has decreased over time. To make her transition as smooth as possible, her adoption includes a large crate & crate pad, large dog bed, harness, & leash. She would thrive as either a single pet or in a home with other friendly dogs around her size. Unfortunately, our smaller dog doesn't want to share her space which is the only reason why we are trying to find her a new home.

Georgia is a 4.5 year old rescue who's been with us since she was 2 months old. She's goofy, playful, affectionate, and loves her people. She loves swimming, chasing laser pointers, and butt scratches! She is house and crate trained, well behaved at home, and happy to relax when her people are away. She can be anxious during big transitions and will need patience adjusting to a new home. Once she trusts you, she’s incredibly loving and snuggly. Georgia CANNOT live with female dogs. She has had serious fights with females in the home that caused significant injuries. She does wonderfully with male dogs that are her size or larger, or as an only dog. We recommend no young children as she can get overwhelmed and may give a warning nip if frightened. She has never bitten anyone. We’re expecting a baby and can no longer safely manage the conflicts with our other female dog. This is heartbreaking as we love her dearly and want her to find the loving home she deserves!

We adopted Rocky as a 6 week old puppy. We were told that his max size was going to be 40 lbs he is 8 months old and is 50 pounds. He is a high energy dog that our apartment is too small to contain and our work schedules do not allow us to give him the exercise he needs. He is a high energy, playful dog that does extremely with dogs that are the same way. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, crate and place. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night. If the situation was different we would 100% be keeping Rocky. He would thrive in a family with dogs and yard for him to run around in.

She was malnourished, limping and in severe pain.We took Pepper to the Urgent care and they told us that she was shot with a BB and it shattered her hip (femoral head) in 10 pieces.You could literally hear her hip crunch. She was in pain and suffered this way for a long time. She was full of fleas and ticks.She had FHO surgery and is now doing great!Pepper is a 2 year old and weighs about 12 lbs. She loves to have fun and run and play with her furry friends!Pepper needs some time to warm up to strangers but with some treats she can become their best friend!! MEET LIZZIE Sadly, Lizzie was running in traffic and was inches from being killed by four cars! A rescuer jumped out of her car and ran after her and found the owner. Sadly, Lizzie's owner said they got a newer bigger dog and didn't want her anymore. We can't figure out why! She is a sweetie! Lizzie is about one year old and weighs about 8lbs.
