Story
I`m in a FOSTER HOME! If you`d like to meet me, please email my foster parent at julz711@gmail.comMeet Chica, the sweetest little cinnamon roll with a deceptively frowny face. After being abandoned at a bike rack and spending a few anxious months in the shelter, this gentle lady is finally blossoming in her foster home – and she couldn`t be happier to have a warm, safe place to wait for her forever family.Miss Chica has impeccable manners. She is making good progress on potty training, and is a quiet, gentle lady. She picks up cues readily and is eager to expand her vocabulary. When her foster mom is busy, she contentedly entertains herself with a bone. The only mischief she`s likely to get into when left alone is sneaking into the human bed for a nap.She is working on building up her confidence on walks in the bustling city, but once she gets going, she’s a loose-leash pro. She hasn`t met dogs, cats, or kids yet, so slow introductions would be best to make sure everyone is comfortable and confident! While her serious expression may make you think she’s all business, Chica is starting to show hints of a goofy side. She’ll joyfully galumph after balls and nudge for pets when she`s in the mood for scritches. Most of the time though, Chica is happiest curled up next to you on the couch, snoring the day away. She is truly a snuggly, affectionate pup who can’t wait to finally have a home to call her own.

Story
Annie is patiently looking for her forever home. After a very long stay at a rural shelter, Annie is loving life in a foster home but would love to find her forever people. Annie is a very sweet girl who loves attention and aims to please. Come visit her at one of our events and she will lean into you and ask you to scratch his big hound dog ears. We have been told that Annie looks larger in her photos. She is about 45 - 50 pounds. Annie is housebroken and crate trained. Her foster family crates her when they leave the house. She spends her nights in the foster families room, well behaved with her people and her canine foster sibling. Annie has not met a person she does not like. She is a dream in the car and greets visitors as if they came just to see her. She is dog friendly and could live with dog savvy cats as she does find them fun to chase a bit in her spare time. Annie is quickly learning basic obedience training and responds very positively to correction and is food motivated. She is a quick study! Annie does have a decent amount of energy but settles very nicely after a nice walk or romp in the yard. Annie's favorite activity is chasing her ball in the backyard and of course, being with her people. Are you ready to make this beautiful girl part of your family? This dog's adoption fee is $400. If you are viewing on PetFinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for Ann, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org. Dogs are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Mandatory in person transfer date: February 16th at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption. The sweetest girl - Loves to cuddle and sit on your lap. Doing very well potty training wise (holds her bladder all night!). Loves to sit in the sun. As she is a hound she is very scent motivated and usually chooses a bone over a squeaky toy. The floppy ears are a bonus! Overall just a respecful girl she loves to sit and watch everything you do. ##2284125##

Story
Hi! I'm Peppermint! I'm house-trained, I've learned, "paw" and I love to hang out by company with a good chew toy. I'm crate-trained and even though I have free reign of the house, still opt to nap in my crate from time to time. I'm shy at first but warm up quickly and then become curious. I play well with other dogs and rarely ever bark. I'm learning to walk on a leash and practice has been going very well! Of course, I still appreciate your snacks and patience! Stuffed animals are my favorite toys.   Mandatory in person transfer date: February 16th at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
