We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.

Story
Wiggle buttBio: Max is a super sweet puppy who is easy to leash up from his kennel. Poor guy isn’t in the small dog room where they put most puppies, but stuck in the room with no windows to the outside ? Max is a pretty typical puppy. He enjoys full body scritches, curling into me for pets. He was picky about my treats (who doesn’t like duck jerky?!) but I won’t hold it against him. He saunters like a puppy, but most certainly doesn’t look like a pittie puppy. With his longer legs and weight (if his age is accurate), he is likely mixed with some sort of hound (google ID says Plott Hound and Catahoula mix). His coat is thicker than a sleek pittie coat and he has a little wave to it along his spine.Max was initially a little timid when I brought him to the interaction room (puppies under 6 months can’t go outside), but after exploring, he opened up and played fetch with me. He readily brought the ball back to me, and had a very soft mouth, allowing me to gently take the ball from him (I put my hand on the ball in his mouth and he released every time). Max is a very sweet boy who I could see in so many homes. Please don’t let this sweet boy spend another day cooped up in a scary shelter. Rescue Max today! He really loves balls and entertains himself very well playing with them.

Story
Jolene is a brindle beauty! She loves her people and has learned some improved leash manners. Jolene is still working on her self-control when she's out and on a leash. (Sometimes she's a little much when she sees other animals.) We think Jolene would be happiest as your only dog, so that she can have all the love and continue to learn how to make good choices.

Story
I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's what Pacino told his foster parents when he was found and brought to San Antonio, TX for a better life! For his well-behaved demeanor, cute puppy face, playfulness, and getting along with other dogs he'd be given a roof, a nice cold dish of water, meals and treats everyday, plus tons of love. It was a good deal! Pacino comes from a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world who's business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you. Pacino is potty and crate trainee; and a sociable happy dog! He does like to chew on things and should be kept away from shoes, tables and what not. Pacino would pair better with older kids. Some basic information about Pacino; he is 1-year(s) old, male, a Plott Hound mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
