Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mika arrived from Puerto Rico with her travel companions, and we are delighted to have this bundle of happiness.   Mika is a Sato dog which is a street or beach dog from Puerto Rico. The Sato refers to a variety of small to medium-sized stray dog. Satos are similar in appearance to small Pointers or Terriers. These free-ranging dogs are known to make excellent family pets. Unlike other feral dogs, the Satos have a small territory, and many are always in contact with people.  Mika was referred to as a Labrador/Plott Hound mix by the veterinarians who vetted her in Puerto Rico. Whatever she is, she sure is sweet. Mika is described by the folks who cared for her at Punta Santiago who rescued her as "amazing with dogs of all sizes, super people friendly, and having no food aggression." She is very happy and friendly and will make a perfect lap dog for some lucky family. Mika is approximately a year old and cat tolerant with supervision. We are looking for an adoptive family or foster home. Mika's adoption fee is $500.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2023, 5:40 pm

Story
Rambo is one of 7 siblings who were found with their mom, Meli, on the streets of Mexico. Meli was malnourished, and a tourist who saw the family stopped to help and brought them to the shelter. Rambo was only about 2 weeks old at the time. Luckily at 7 months of age he got a chance to fly to the U.S. for adoption. Rambo is brindle beauty!!! What makes him so special is that he is also so loving and sweet—just a soft teddy bear who wants to snuggle with you. He has quickly caught on to crate and house training and even enjoys an afternoon nap in his crate. He gets along well with all the dogs in and out of his foster home. He was cat tested in the shelter where he showed no interest and even was scared of them. Rambo has also been patient and done well with an 11-year-old girl at his foster home. Since he is still an excitable puppy, he can be jumpy and would probably love to have an older child to grow up with as long as they are gentle with him. We at Rescue Without Borders believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization and learning, and it helps to create a well-mannered and well-balanced dog. This training is now a requirement of our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. Rambo’s ideal home would need to have a securely fenced-in yard. He would also do well in the city in an apartment as long as he gets daily long walks and playtime. His foster dad takes him daily on walks to Central Park and he loves this mini adventures. When he sees a squirrel, he looks astounded, so there is no risk of him pulling on a leash to chase after it! Rambo has not received a lot of training on leash walking, but he walks well, as he is very obedient and a quick learner. All in all, Rambo has stunning good looks with a gentle and sweet nature, and he learns quickly with a kind word and some treats. He is ready to be someone’s best friend! Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving to the US. Medical Issues: None This pup is being fostered in Manhattan, NY. Interested in this sweet love bug? Please email us at RescueWithoutBorders@gmail.com and we will happily get back to you.

Story
Meet Minnie! This sweet girl was picked up as a stray back in Sept in San Antonio. She was pulled by a local rescue there and placed with a foster. The rescue also provides transport to the Northeast to help get the unwanted out of Tx to better lives! On our last transport 3 wks ago the foster brought Minnie with her in hopes that another rescue would take her. Well, no one wanted her and when we went to get out pup, we were told Minnie was heading back to Tx. We were not about to let this sweet girl spend another min in that crate and took her into our rescue. Here is what we know about Minnie... She is now 9 mos old, she is fully vetted (spayed/vacs/chipped), she is crate trained and housebroken. Minnie loves other dogs, cats we don't know about. She is good with kids as well. We do feel that this girl would do best in a home with another dog (no super seniors). If you would like to make this adorable girl a part of your family, please complete the online application to begin the process. https://furrytailendingscaninerescue.org/adoption-application/ **A PHYSICAL FENCED IN YARD IS STRONGLY PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED** **PLEASE NOTE EMAILS FROM THE SITE EXPRESSING YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE TO BEGIN THE PROCESS. ALL INFORMATION KNOWN ON THE DOG/PUPPY IS INCLUDED IN THE PROFILE** **WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE AND DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION TO VISIT. BECAUSE OF THIS, WE DO NOT ALLOW MEET & GREETS PRIOR TO HAVING A COMPLETED/APPROVED APPLICATION ON FILE**

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. HELEN was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page    to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. HELEN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for an adoption fee of $550. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Story
Oh Hi! My name is Rocco! I know you're wondering how such a handsome dog like myself ended up at a shelter right?! Well I was found as a stray and a nice person brought me in. My friends at the shelter say that I'm a giant goofball! I love to play, go for walks/runs/hikes, I even enjoy the baby pool when the weather is warm enough. I wouldn't mind sharing a home with another dog or even a cat! I can come on a bit strong when meeting new dogs and I also like to play rough. I sound perfect right!? The one downside about me is that I don't have much manners, I'm a big boy and I love jumping up on people (I don't realize how big I am). I also still think I'm a puppy, so I can become mouthy when I get excited. The staff have been working with me to teach me better manners, they say I'm super smart! I would love a have a family to call my own! If you are unable to adopt, please consider helping support Rocco and his friends by clicking on the donate button below his profile. It would be pawsitively awesome!
