Story
Wezley is about 4 years old, just over 20 pounds, and fully aware that he has opinions. He came to us after being relinquished because he started resource guarding his previous owner from her husband. Wezley takes his people very seriously, what can he say! In the right home, this is something that can be worked on. He is currently on medication for anxiety, and with structure, training, and continued socialization, he has a lot of potential to improve. Now that you know the serious part, here’s the real Wezley:He is a velcro pug in the truest sense. He wants to be near his person, always. He loves cuddles, sunshine, car rides, walks, running around, and rolling in grass like it’s his job. Then he’ll flip the switch and happily go off to sleep on his own like nothing happened. He also knows a ton of cues already: sit, stay, down, spin, roll, speak, wait, shake, outside, and all variations of “food” and “treat.” He is very smart and very food motivated, which is a big advantage for continued training. He does have some things he’s not a fan of, including nail trims, ear cleaning, loud noises, some male humans, and some larger dogs. So he’ll do best with structure, clear boundaries, and someone who understands dog body language and management.Since being with us, Wezley has actually done well with other dogs and all the people he's met! He can groom and relax with other dogs and enjoys being part of a calmer group energy. He also really likes people and is very into attention and belly rubs once he trusts you.Wezley is a lot of dog in a small body. Smart, affectionate, intense about his people, and full of personality. He’s not a beginner dog, but in the right home, he’s going to be deeply loyal and very attached to his person. He knows exactly who he is. Now he just needs someone who’s ready for that! Could that be you? Please inquire today!

Story
If there was ever a dog who deserved a fresh start, it's Bindi. Bindi came to us after being surrendered to a local county shelter by her previous owner. It was immediately clear that she hadn't received the care she needed for a very long time, so when we learned she was there we rushed to bring her into our rescue and get her the TLC she needed and find her the forever home she deserves. While at the previous shelter, Bindi came down with a bad case of kennel cough which thankfully has now resolved. She also arrived with severe, long-standing ear infections that were so advanced she needed steroids just to open her ear canals enough for treatment. On top of that, she had significant dental disease requiring multiple extractions, and her coat reflected months if not years of poor nutrition and grooming. Today, she's feeling so much better, eating well, and her soft coat is making a wonderful comeback!Bindi also has some weakness in her back legs and walks with a slight hunch. She takes daily joint supplements, isn't in pain, and still enjoys getting around at her own pace. She also has a benign fatty lipoma on her back that doesn't require treatment. Now that she's feeling better, her personality has had a chance to shine! At about 10 years old and 14 pounds, Bindi is the definition of a cuddle bug. She loves being close to her people and has a wonderful way of returning every bit of love she's given. She's also very food motivated, and if treats are involved, you'll see an extra spring in her step!Bindi does well with other dogs, especially calm pups who enjoy naps, leisurely strolls, and relaxing together. She has a gentle and easygoing personality and is happiest when she's somewhere cozy with the people she loves. Her ideal home will be with someone who has senior dog experience and is excited to give an older dog the comfortable, loving retirement she's earned. Bindi has spent enough of her life waiting for someone to care. Now she's ready to spend the rest of it knowing exactly what it feels like to be loved! Interested in this sweet little lady? Story
With a name like Champion Blue, you might expect a superstar...and this little guy sure lives up to it! At 10 years old and 17 pounds, Champion Blue has already overcome a lot in life, having been abandoned at a shelter simply for being a senior with a few minor medical needs. Thankfully, the shelter reached out to us to take him in and now he's ready to find the forever home he’s been dreaming of.Don’t let his age fool you Champion Blue has a spark of mischief and energy that will make you smile every day. He takes daily gabapentin for arthritis and an anti-inflammatory to keep him comfortable, but that doesn’t stop him from zooming across the room for treats, toys, or just to join the action. He’s a little wobbly on his feet sometimes, but his heart is full of courage, curiosity, and pure joy.Champion Blue loves the simple pleasures in life: cuddles on the couch, gentle pets, and long, lazy lounging sessions where he can soak up all the attention. But don’t be surprised if the quiet is broken by a sudden burst of playful zoomies or a funny little hop - he’s silly, spunky, and completely charming. He gets along with other dogs, especially calm companions who understand his pace, and he’s ready to share his home with someone who will adore him and help him age gracefully. Champion Blue’s perfect match is a quiet household, filled with love, patience, and lots of lap time. He may be a senior, but his heart is young, and he’s ready to be your loyal, goofy, and utterly lovable sidekick. He may have had a rough start, but his next chapter will be the happiest yet! He’s social, adaptable, and was ready to start making new friends immediately!Triscuit is a true people dog. He loves being included whether that means hanging out with his humans, exploring what everyone is up to, or simply being nearby while the family does their thing. He’s curious and playful and he has a personality that makes him very easy to fall in love with! And yes, just like you might expect from a dog named after a snack Triscuit is a BIG fan of food. He is very enthusiastic about treats and anything tasty which makes his special diet much easier because he certainly doesn’t let a little dietary restriction get in the way of enjoying mealtime! He will need to remain on a special diet to help prevent future issues but otherwise he is happy, healthy, and ready for his next chapter. This sweet boy previously lived with children and did great with them. Story
If you believe senior dogs have a special kind of magic, Holmes is here to prove you right. This handsome gentleman is 10 years old, weighs 23 pounds, and came to us after being found wandering the streets as a stray in Palmdale. Once we learned he was sitting in a shelter, we rushed and brought him to our rescue where he's been soaking up all the TLC he's been missing!Holmes has a face that tells a story. With only three teeth and a tongue that's permanently hanging out, he somehow manages to get even cuter every time you look at him. It gives him a goofy, lovable expression that's impossible not to smile back at. He's also got a little arthritis and some dry eyes, but with daily Gabapentin and eye drops, he's comfortable and happy. As far as Holmes is concerned, those are just minor details in an otherwise wonderful life. What really makes Holmes special is his heart. He's one of those dogs who's genuinely grateful for every soft bed, every gentle scratch behind the ears, and every person willing to sit beside him. He's incredibly affectionate and happy to curl up next to you or climb into your lap any chance he gets. If you're looking for a shadow that follows you from room to room simply because he loves being near his people, Holmes is your guy! He's equally kind with other dogs and especially enjoys the company of fellow seniors or mellow pups who share his appreciation for long naps and peaceful afternoons. While he isn't looking to run a marathon, he absolutely enjoys his daily walks, taking his time to investigate every interesting smell and soaking up every patch of sunshine along the way.Holmes is simply the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. He's gentle, easygoing, endlessly sweet, and asks for little beyond love, comfort, and someone to grow old with. Because of his age and ongoing care, we'd love to see him with someone who has experience with senior dogs and understands just how rewarding these golden years can be.After everything he's been through Holmes deserves a retirement filled with cozy naps, leisurely strolls, and a family who will remind him every single day that he'll never be alone again. Story
Kerolin is the kind of dog who shows up ready to party. Whatever is happening, she wants in! This spunky 5-year-old girl weighs 19 pounds and came to us after being found all alone as a stray. When she arrived, she clearly hadn’t had an easy time... she was covered in fleas and had significant hair loss from the irritation. Thankfully, that chapter is behind her now. The fleas are gone, her skin is healing, and her beautiful coat is already starting to come back. But even when Kerolin wasn’t feeling her best, her personality never disappeared. This girl is full of life. She loves people, is incredibly trusting, and has a fun, playful energy that makes her impossible not to smile at. She’s also a smart cookie! Kerolin is very food motivated and already knows how to sit on command, and she’s currently working on mastering the art of giving paw. She’s clearly decided treats are a great reason to keep learning!Kerolin loves having a good time. She enjoys playing, exploring, and being involved, but once the excitement is over she is more than happy to curl up with you and relax. She’s got that perfect “let’s go do something!” personality while still knowing that cuddles are an important part of the day.She does well with other dogs especially ones who are interested in playing and keeping up with her energy. A home that enjoys walks, activities, and continuing her training would be a great fit for this smart and silly girl.Kerolin has already overcome a rough start, and now she’s ready for the fun part...finding the people who will love her for the happy, playful, affectionate dog she is.
