Story
This sweet girl, estimated to be about 2 years old and weighing in at 20 pounds, has had a rough start to life, but she’s ready to turn the page and find her forever home. When she first came to us as a stray, she was in pain from a full vaginal prolapse that had likely troubled her for quite some time. Thankfully, she received treatment, and now she’s healed, healthy, and ready to enjoy life to the fullest! While we don’t know all the details of her past, it’s clear she hasn’t always had the easiest time with humans. Cantaloupe can be a little shy and anxious around new people, but once she realizes she’s safe, she shows just how loving and loyal she can be. She’s looking for a patient, gentle owner who will give her the space to decompress and shower her with the affection she’s been missing. At only two years old, Cantaloupe has her whole life ahead of her, and she’s ready to make it full of play, cuddles, and adventures. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, enjoys playtime and socializing, and is happiest when she can join in the fun. With her human friends, she just needs a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, you’ll have a devoted new BFF who loves to snuggle and hang out by your side.Cantaloupe would thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. She’s sweet, resilient, and ready to bloom into the happy, carefree, spunky girl she was always meant to be. Could your home be the place where Cantaloupe finally feels safe, loved, and at peace? Please inquire today!

Chungus isn’t just a name...it’s a lifestyle. This sweet, silly, and absolutely lovable boy is estimated to be about 8 years old and weighs in at a solid 25 pounds of pure charm. He came to us as a stray and honestly we still can’t get over what a character he is!!Chungus has a congenital limb difference on one of his front legs, but don’t let that fool you he gets around just fine and hasn’t let it slow him down a bit. He was born this way and has learned to navigate life like a pro, no surgery or pain involved. He also has a history of dry eyes, which is managed with daily eye drops, keeping him comfy.Personality-wise Chungus is a dream. He’s the perfect mix of playful and chill. He enjoys bopping around and playing with his dog friends, but he’s just as happy lounging by your side on the couch, soaking up belly rubs and attention. Walks? Yes, but at his own leisurely pace sniffing the grass, taking in the scenery, living life in the slow lane like the legend he is.Despite his “chunky” stature, Chungus has a surprisingly lighthearted spirit. He’s affectionate, silly, and downright hilarious at times, the kind of dog who makes you smile just by existing. He bonds deeply with people and will happily be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your daily dose of laughter.Chungus would thrive in a calm, loving home where someone appreciates his quirky personality, his slower pace, and his big heart. He’s perfect for anyone looking for a devoted, funny, and endlessly sweet companion who will stick by their side through thick and thin.If you’re ready to meet the ultimate couch potato/playtime partner, Chungus might just be your guy. Story
Stafford’s story almost ended before it really had a chance to begin. This 3-year-old, 23-pound sweetheart landed at a crowded local shelter after being found as a stray. Scared, overwhelmed, and battling a cough, he was at serious risk. Thankfully, we were able to step in just in time and bring him to safety.Once Stafford arrived at the rescue, everything changed. His cough cleared, his nerves settled, and out came the real Stafford: a joyful, affectionate, and absolutely charming little guy who just needed someone to believe in him. Stafford is the kind of dog who lives life with enthusiasm. He loves to run, play, and explore, and he’s always up for a walk or a new adventure. At the same time, he’s also a certified cuddle connoisseur who’s happiest curled up close to his people after a day of fun. He’s incredibly people-focused and thrives on attention, connection, and being part of whatever you’re doing. He’s athletic (and surprisingly springy!), so a secure yard and an engaged owner will help set him up for success. Stafford would do best with an active person or family who’s excited to include him in daily life, whether that’s neighborhood walks, playtime in the yard, or cozy evenings on the couch. What Stafford really wants is simple: consistency, companionship, and someone who will love him as much as he loves back. After everything he’s been through, he’s ready to trade uncertainty for stability and become someone’s loyal sidekick. Stafford is equal parts playful spirit and tender heart, and he’s more than ready for his forever chapter. Could that be with you? Please inquire today!

This lanky 22 pound sweetheart is estimated to be around 4 years old, and he’s already had quite the journey. Markie was found wandering the streets all alone and it was clear life hadn’t been very gentle with him. He also had a severely damaged, bulging eye that had no vision and caused him discomfort. But here’s the good news! Markie is a fighter, and he’s come a long way. His bad eye has been removed, his skin has healed, and his fur is growing back soft, shiny, and absolutely beautiful. He has taken every change in stride and adjusted to his new one-eyed life like a total champ. You truly would never guess how much he’s been through based on how well he's doing today.Markie has spent some time with us while getting all of his medical needs addressed, and now he’s feeling better than ever and ready for his forever home. Honestly the only thing he’s missing is someone to love! Personality-wise Markie is the full package. He’s tall, handsome, and has a huge heart to match. He’s social, friendly, playful, and loves meeting new people. He does well with other dogs and really thrives when he gets to be part of the action. He’s got a silly side, a sweet side, and a spirited side all wrapped up in one adorable, slightly lopsided, extremely lovable dog.Markie would do best in a semi-active or active home with someone who wants a companion to join them on life’s adventures. Walks, hikes, outings, or just exploring the neighborhood - he’s in! He’s ready to soak up every ounce of love and consistency he missed out on before. After everything he has endured, Markie is more than ready to settle into a home where he will finally be cherished. Story
Londyn was discovered as a stray, bearing the visible scars of a tough past that included a challenging skin infection and indications of being used for breeding. Despite the hardships she faced, Londyn's spirit shines through as she embarks on her journey toward a brighter future. She also faced difficulties with breathing, but has received airway surgery since being with us and is now breathing normally, her prior ailments are cleared up, and she's doing great!Londyn can be nervous and has a history of being reactive when meeting new people. She takes a while to warm up, but it's just because she's been through so much. A little patience truly goes a long way with her. Potential adopters should be prepared for a challenging first impression, as Londyn may lunge at new people. However, with time and dedication, her sweet and affectionate side will emerge, sure to melt your heart.Due to her anxiety, we recommend a home without small children, allowing Londyn the space and tranquility she needs to thrive. A dedicated owner who is willing to work with her and help her with socialization and training is essential.Londyn can be selective with other dogs and exhibits a tendency to resource guard her toys and food. While this behavior can be managed with proper training, we suggest a home where she can be the sole recipient of attention and love. If there is another dog in the home, guidance and training will be key to addressing her resource guarding tendencies.Despite her quirks, Londyn is an incredible dog who has weathered life's storms and now deserves a second chance with a caring family. If you are ready to offer patience, love, and a stable environment, Londyn will reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other.Lucky for her, Londyn has a couple of wonderful volunteers who spend time with her every week, and this is what they have to say about her: "Londyn is a wonderful pug who just needs an opportunity. Londyn is a beautiful Princess who has much love to give. She should’ve been named her Xena instead of Londyn. The reason is because Londyn like Xena has a strong personality. Under her eyes she doesn’t need protection and that’s because she’s the one who will protect you. Londyn’s file explained that in the past she had been used for breeding and we suspect the that’s the reason why it’s hard for her to trust. I can only imagine the pain that came when her babies were taken away one by one, and now she feels the need to give extra love and that’s why she protects her loved ones. I suspect that this is why some people think that she’s aggressive but trust me she’s not. She’s a beautiful princess who has lots, and lots of love to give. It only takes a few hours, and snacks for her to trust you. While the process with her is a little slower the love she gives you will reward you with unlimited love! How do you win Londyn’s trust? That is a good question and a simple answer. Londyn does not like it when people try to immediately touch her or pet her. You need to first show her your hand and let her smell it. Once she decides that you are a good person, she will slowly let you touch her. My suggestion is that at this point you give her a snack and take her for a walk. She loves going for walks and especially loves running in the park. When she gets tired, she will turn around and look at you and start jumping, this is a sign that she is tired, and she wants you to carry her to the car. Once you really earn her trust, she will turn around so you can give her a belly rub. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite, once she lets you give her belly rubs you will realize that she loves you. In due time she will even start giving you kisses."Londyn is so, SO deserving of a loving forever home. Think it could be with you? Please inquire today!
