You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Linden and his siblings, Hawthorne, Laurel, and Myrtle, found themselves unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs and people, and cats are unknown.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. Meet Linden! ❤️ Linden is an adorable  mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This sweet boy is playful and loves his toys, but his favorite thing in the world is being close to his people-especially if that means curling up in your lap for some quality snuggle time. He's incredibly affectionate and happiest just hanging out by your side, making him the perfect cuddle buddy for cozy nights and relaxed days at home. Linden also does great with other dogs and enjoys having furry friends around. Linden rides well in the car, so he's always ready to tag along on adventures. He's currently 95% potty trained with an occassional accident here or there, fully crate trained, and working hard and doing great on leash walking ! With his loving nature and playful spirit, Linden is ready to bring joy, laughter, and lots of snuggles to his forever home. *If you're looking for a loyal little companion who lives for love and cuddles, Linden is your guy *  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 7, 2026, 9:39 am

Story
Welcome Johnny to CCPAL Rescue. Johnny is a 7-month-old Pug mixed pup. He is a beautiful tan color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a bigger-sized boy pup in the liter. He weighs about 15 pounds now and will be a small dog full grown. He has an adorable underbite and is great with other dogs. He is active but not over the top. He has the curly tail like the traditional pug but maybe the curl is less tight. He is a laid-back boy and was easy to take photos with. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Johnny is one of two boys in the litter. He was the last puppy to come out of his kennel as he was enjoying his nap. He was very workable and stood still and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. Johnny is social and would be a great dog to take to the local coffee shop. He loves all people and is call in loud situations. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Johnny is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1869 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Some dogs spend their lives asking for very little, yet give absolutely everything in return. Martha is one of those dogs. This sweet 13-year-old Shih Tzu-Pug mix has the gentlest soul you could ever hope to meet. Though she is small and delicate, her heart is overflowing with quiet love. In her golden years, Martha moves through the world at a soft, unhurried pace, seeking out warm blankets, cozy corners, and long, peaceful naps in her favorite bed. Martha is a true cuddle expert. Her favorite place in the world is right beside you, snuggled close, sharing her calm, comforting presence. Whether she’s resting her head in your lap or tucked into her blankets, she brings a sense of peace to everyone around her. She is currently in the early stages of kidney disease and needs a little extra care, but what she gives back in return is immeasurable. Martha has a beautiful way of reminding you to slow down, cherish quiet moments, and find joy in life’s simplest pleasures. Senior dogs like Martha are so often overlooked, yet they have some of the biggest hearts. She isn’t looking for adventure or excitement—she’s simply hoping for a family to love her through her golden years. A warm bed, gentle hands, and someone to share her days with are all she asks for. The family who opens their heart to Martha won’t just be giving an older dog a home—they’ll be giving her the happy ending every dog deserves. And in return, Martha will fill your home with quiet companionship, unconditional love, and the kind of gratitude that can’t be put into words. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to truly change a life, Martha is waiting to show you. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Meet Tobias! This handsome guy is the definition of a chill companion. He’s happiest hanging out with his people, enjoying some leisurely sniffing on a walk, exploring the yard, and then settling in for some well-earned couch time. He may be a little on the slow side, but he’s perfectly happy taking his time and enjoying the journey. Tobias loves his people and is always ready for some attention. Sit down on the couch and there’s a very good chance he’ll hop up beside you, ask for pets, and give you a gentle nudge—or even lift a paw—if you stop before he’s finished! Sometimes he’ll doze off right there next to you, and other times he’ll decide he’s had enough attention and relocate to the other end of the couch. He likes keeping tabs on his people without needing to be attached to them every second. He does have some fun bursts of goofy energy, especially later in the day. When the mood strikes, Tobias enjoys a few zoomies, exploring the yard, or carrying his favorite plush reindeer around while looking like he has absolutely no idea what to do with all those big feelings. He’ll even do a playful bow and parade his toy around. His tongue also has a habit of making an adorable little appearance, especially when he’s sleeping. Tobias is wonderful with people and has been happy to accept pets from everyone he’s met. He currently lives with two resident dogs and does best with calm canine companions who are content to sniff and coexist rather than constantly asking him to play. He would likely prefer a dog who respects his personal space rather than a young, high-energy pup in his face. He hasn’t met children in foster care, but respectful older kids may be a good fit. Tobias is doing well with his routine and is great on leash. He’s still working toward being completely trustworthy with free-roaming privileges, but he keeps his kennel clean and has made good progress with his house manners. He may need some time and a gradual transition before he’s ready to sleep loose or have full run of the house. Tobias does best when his people are around and can have some kennel anxiety, particularly overnight, so his adopter should be prepared to continue helping him build confidence with alone time. A consistent routine, exercise, and patience will go a long way. At heart, Tobias is a backyard-hangout-and-Netflix kind of guy. He’s affectionate without being clingy, playful without being overwhelming, and always up for some sniffs, pets, and quality time with his people. He’s also a certified LOAF who could use a little help on his weight-loss journey. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who would happily spend his days lounging beside you, Tobias may be your guy!
