Story
Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Story
Jayden is a really sweet and super energetic ~2yo pup with tons of personality. She loves playing fetch, tug, and chase and will do almost anything for treats/food. She is house trained, crate trained, loosely obedience training, and we are currently working on muzzle training. She is a great companion and would do well in an experienced single person household or a multi-adult household where everyone is FULLY committed to training and management. We adopted her 18mo ago and are re-homing her due to her anxiety and reactivity which occasionally result in aggression towards members of our household. She is currently taking prescription anxiety medication and probiotics which are helping a little, however we have decided that we do not have the experience or environment that she needs to succeed and be comfortable/happy long term. We are more than happy to provide further information including her vet records and vet behaviorist report to prospective adopters.

Story
There's just something special about dogs named Ziggy! Is it their courage? Resilience? Our handsome Ziggy, a rattie mix with possibly fox terrier ancestry, has plenty of both. After being struck by a car and spending a month in a North Carolina shelter with a broken hip, Ziggy was rescued by New Rattitude and given the surgery needed to repair the hip. After brief recovery time, he boarded a plane to fly to Maryland, where his foster home is located and where he courageously faced what he hopes is his last time under the knife--his neutering.   Estimated at 1-2 years old, the resilient fellow has gained some much-needed weight (he's now 12 lbs.) and is making up for lost time with a newfound zest for living. He LOVES playing with toys--LOTS of toys! He gets along with his two canine foster siblings, but his two best friends are dogs weighing over 50 lbs. each. He hopes you'll have a young canine companion for him too. Ziggy is completely house-trained and good walking with harness and leash although he'll bark at strangers, wagging his tail nevertheless.   X-rays show that Ziggy's hip is healing, but some nerve damage remains, causing knuckling of that rear paw. A consulting neurologist states that further healing of the nerve may occur slowly. Unrelated to the nerve, Ziggy may sometimes run on three legs, but he tends to use all four on soft surfaces like carpet or grass. The best part is, Ziggy sees no problem. He does zoomies and stairs, with energy left to play with the big dogs! Nothing seems to stop this resilient little boy, who is so ready for his forever home. And be honest, you KNOW you've always wanted a Ziggy! See more photos in his online album at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/ziggy .   Applicants considering Ziggy should plan to meet him in his foster home prior to adoption to observe his gait and movement patterns in his normal environment. Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. May 8, 2024, 9:11 pm

Story
Harry and Eleanor?? Such SERIOUS names for a couple of goofy pups! We came from a somewhat sad and seriously MESSED up place but now we may be a little shy but we are definitely NOT SERIOUS :) We are JRT/Rat Terrier mixed siblings, each of us is cute and loving in our own right. Under 15# of absolute adorableness is who we are. We are both still a little nervous, I mean we came from a pretty horrific situation so know that we were not handled and loved on until the last month or so in our foster home... but we are learning so much and having a blast! We are great together but do not have to be adopted together. We will need at least another dog with us to show us the ropes and keep us company in our new family. We are good with everyone so that will be pretty easy :) Look one of us up and ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! SO MANY LIVES' DEPEND ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
We are looking for a new home for Blu. Due to military reserve obligations Blu is having to spend too much time inside and alone. Although she does have a dog door, our tiny yard does not give her the chance to run, play and exercise as much as she would like. She is 2 1/2 years old, weighs 42 lbs, is completely house broken, doesn't shed and is well socialized with people and other dogs. She has shown no aggressive tendencies and is very friendly. Blu has been has mainly been with adults but has also been exposed to children and was raised with 2 cats. She loves playing at the dog park where she has interacted well with many dogs and children. Blu is a very happy, sweet, enthusiastic and energetic dog who loves to cuddle. She does jump and is not great on a leash. Like so many people who have to give up their pet, we feel guilty but we know Blu would be happier with more human and animal contact and more room and time to run and play outdoors.
