Story
Tina is a lovely little dog that found her way into our household by way of a roadside rescue. We found her running along a busy intersection and caught her, expecting to find her family in a day or two. After a couple of weeks of posting signs around the neighborhood and posting online, we had no luck in finding the family and, as it turns out, she was not house trained, leash trained or spayed. It seems that she was a stray and we were now her fosters. She was easy enough to keep around and got along with our other two dogs really well so she made herself home at home for a few months. During this time we house trained her, got her shots up-to-date, and recently had her spayed. Shes a lot of fun. Plays with our dogs and loves kids. She would be a great addition to any family. The adoption fee is flexible, a pay what you can fee. We are just looking to share some of the costs that we put into getting her ready for adoption, especially the spay surgery and vaccines.

Story
Adopt-a-pet Inquires are not an application and will be ignored. Looking for a Foster or Adopter Rue is approximately 10 months old and fully grown at 20lbs. This sweet girl is playful, smart, and 100% a clown. Learning new things is what she excels at! She loves her walks and boy does she also like to run around, as in chase me if you can to the fastest of dogs :) She gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats and of course humans. Kids unknown. She’s not a barker, social yet happily independent. Crate trained. Rue needs an active family. She will be a tripping hazard for the elderly and folks with mobility challenges. At some point right after she was born, Rue experienced some kind of trauma causing a neurological deficit that manifests in an abnormal gate which is not noticeable unless you’re looking for it as well as needing structured potty time. We do not believe she is need of further assessment but potential adopters should discuss Rue with their veterinary professional. Apply here: https://tinyurl.com/TLCdogapp Adoption radius: within 60 miles of zip code 20906. We do not promote any of our dogs as house trained or allergy friendly My petfinder link for more photos https://www.petfinder.com/dog/rue-cd3458cf-cf27-48b4-8627-dcec63503d9f/md/silver-spring/tascas-love-cooperative-inc-md511/details/

Story
Meet Moses! He's a 35 pound Jack Russell/Rat Terrier Mix and is about 6 years old. I adopted him from a rescue organization about 2 years ago. For health reasons, I've made the difficult decision to rehome Moses. Once he gets to know you, Moses is such a sweet, cuddly, protective, loyal lap dog and loves to play and burrow under blankets. He has a lot of energy and loves being outside. I live in the city. I think he would do best in the suburbs or somewhere rural, with a fenced in yard to run around. Make Moses yours!

Story
If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting a bat-dog hybrid who runs on unlimited energy and pure joy, your dreams just came true. Missy is a 22lb, 4-year-old Rat Terrier mix who looks like a bat in disguise (seriously—check out those ears!) with the sweetest brown eyebrows and muzzle freckles you’ll ever see.Missy is a professional zoomie champion who believes exercise is a lifestyle, not a hobby. One walk? Great. Two walks? Better. Three? LET’S GO.This silly girl is smart as a whip and eager to please. She knows her commands, sits patiently at the door like a little lady until you say “okay, let’s go!” and beams with pride whenever she hears the magic words “good girl.” The only thing she loves more than hearing that? Attention. Any kind. From anyone. Always.Missy is perfectly house-trained, sleeps like an angel once she’s in her crate (bonus points if she gets a blanket to burrow in), and is working hard on her leash manners. She’s very enthusiastic about dogs, cats, squirrels, and, well, life in general—sometimes too enthusiastic—so she’ll do best in a home that can match her zest with consistent training, playtime, and lots of patience. Her dislikes? Being ignored, crate time, and small woodland critters who dare to exist. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, high-energy best friend who will keep you laughing (and moving!) every single day, Missy is your girl.If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $300 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
