Story
Karlota: Collector of KissesKarlota believes there are many wonderful things in the world.Toys are wonderful.Running is wonderful.Playing with sisters is wonderful.Putting her paws in the water is wonderful. But if you ask Karlota to choose her favorite thing, the answer is easy.Kisses.Karlota is a cheerful little puppy who approaches life with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a deep appreciation for affection. She loves games, adventures, and discovering new things, but she is equally happy being carried around and receiving little kisses on her head, which she considers one of life's greatest treasures. Those interested in contributing to Karlota's kiss collection may find additional photos and videos here: https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/karlota-2026042D.When Karlota meets someone new, she can be a little shy at first. She prefers to take a moment to decide whether everything is safe and friendly. Fortunately, her investigation process is much shorter than it sounds. Before long, her sweet and loving personality begins to shine. She loves other dogs, enjoys running and playing, and would be delighted to have canine siblings to share her adventures with. In her opinion, every good home should include toys, friendship, and regular opportunities for fun.Like her sisters, Karlota's story began under difficult circumstances. She was found searching for food with her family, hungry and struggling to survive. Thankfully, those days are behind her now.Today, Karlota is focused on much more important matters: collecting toys, making friends, earning kisses, and finding a family to love.A family with plenty of affection would be especially appreciated. After all, every great collection needs room to grow. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Anastacia: The Reluctant PrincessAnastacia has not yet decided what she thinks about strangers. This is not because she is unfriendly. It is because, as any sensible princess knows, one should never hand out royal privileges too quickly. When Anastacia meets someone new, she prefers to observe first. She watches. She thinks. She gathers information. Then, little by little, she decides whether you seem worthy of her friendship.Fortunately, Anastacia's standards become much easier to meet once she gets to know you.Additional evidence that Anastacia is, in fact, a princess can be found here: https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/anastacia-2026043D.Underneath her careful introduction process is a sweet, playful puppy who loves toys, enjoys adventures, and considers splashing in water to be one of life's greatest inventions. She also adores other dogs and would happily spend her days running, playing, and inventing games with her canine friends. In fact, Anastacia firmly believes that every kingdom should include both toys and playmates.Like all young puppies, she is still learning about the world. Every day brings new discoveries, new experiences, and new opportunities to practice the important skills of being a happy family dog.Anastacia's story began under difficult circumstances. She and her family were found searching for food, hungry and struggling to survive. Thankfully, those days are behind her now.Today, Anastacia is focused on much more important matters: collecting toys, making friends, taking naps, and finding the perfect family.Preferably one willing to recognize her royal status. After all, every princess deserves a kingdom of her own. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. **ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+.** Our app can be found at **haydudeequine.org** ## Meet Tater Tot! 🥔🐾 Born on May 15, 2026, **Tater Tot** is a tiny guy with a HUGE personality! This adorable Rat Terrier mix weighs just 6 pounds, but he packs a whole lot of love, fun, and charm into his little frame. Tater Tot is a happy, outgoing puppy who has never met a stranger. He loves making new friends—both two-legged and four-legged—and is always ready for his next adventure. One of his favorite pastimes is wrestling and playing with his brothers, but when playtime is over, he's more than happy to curl up in your arms for some serious snuggles. Being held is one of his favorite places to be! Like any puppy, Tater Tot loves his toys and is always excited for a game. He's also doing a fantastic job learning his potty-training routine and is eager to keep learning with a family who will continue to help him succeed. Tater Tot gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs, does well with cats, and has the friendly, easygoing personality that makes him a great addition to just about any home. If you're looking for a **tiny little sidekick with a big personality**, Tater Tot is your guy! He'll keep you laughing, shower you with affection, and happily snuggle up with you after a day of fun. He's small enough to fit in your lap, but we're pretty sure he's planning to take up **your entire heart.** 🥔❤️🐾 **Tater Tot is ready to be your best friend for life!**

Story
Animal Profile: Hugo is a 2-year-old, 13-pound Rat Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a small frame! This cheerful little guy is full of spunk and loves to play. Sadly, Hugo found himself at risk in an overcrowded shelter simply because there wasn’t enough space. But despite it all, he never lost his happy spirit or wagging tail. His playful energy and friendly nature shine through in every interaction. Foster Update:  This spirited 2-year-old Rat Terrier mix joined our rescue last November and has been making impressive progress ever since. Early on, Hugo showed some bitey behaviors around handling and resources he wasn’t ready to share, but with the help of a dedicated foster team and professional training, he’s come a long way. Hugo has spent months working with a balanced trainer and has really thrived. He loves learning, enjoys training sessions, and is always up for playtime. He’s an active, outgoing little guy who would do best with someone who can continue to engage both his body and mind. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and rides well in the car. Hugo can be a bit vocal when he gets excited and definitely has a touch of FOMO, he likes to be part of the action! He warms up quickly to new people and enjoys making new friends. Hugo is looking for an adult-only home with experienced dog owners who understand how to provide structure and consistency. E collar experience is a bonus, but being willing to learn is a necessity. To set everyone up for success, his trainer will offer a go-home lesson and follow-up support to help ease the transition. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus shelter in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 11/13 via START. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 25, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. 🐾 Meet Vaquero! 🤠 **Rat Terrier Mix • Born May 15, 2026 • 7 lbs of pure puppy perfection** ### Here's what the humans have to say about me: Please note that we are a foster-based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. **ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+.** Our adoption application can be found at **haydudeequine.org**. Now that we've gotten the boring human stuff out of the way… **HI! I’M VAQUERO!** 🐶 I may weigh only 7 pounds, but I have apparently decided that I need to fill every available inch of your heart, your lap, and possibly your home. I am a **Rat Terrier mix puppy**, which means I come with an impressive combination of adorable, playful, curious, and just the right amount of *“What’s that?! I MUST INVESTIGATE!”* 😂 I love wrestling with my brothers, chasing toys, exploring everything I can possibly find, and generally making sure nobody in the house gets too comfortable. I believe puppies should be busy. There are toys to chase! Things to sniff! Brothers to tackle! But after all that important puppy business, I am very happy to clock out and report for **snuggle duty**. ❤️ Give me a warm lap and a cozy spot, and I will happily curl up in your arms for a nap. I am basically a tiny adventure buddy who comes with a built-in cuddle setting. I'm also doing **really well with my potty training** and am eager to keep learning. I'm a smart little guy, and with a family willing to keep teaching me, I'm going to make an excellent companion. I get along wonderfully with **dogs of all sizes** and do well with **cats**, too. I love people, I love adventures, I love playtime, and I REALLY love being loved. So whether you're looking for a hiking buddy, a playmate, a couch potato, a professional snuggler, or someone who will make you laugh approximately 47 times a day… **Vaquero has submitted his application for the position.** 🐾 I'm small right now, but I've got a **BIG personality and an even bigger heart**. All I need now is a forever family to grow up with. **Come meet me. I have a feeling we're going to be best friends.** ❤️
