Story
Animal Profile: Gloria is an estimated 3-year-old 33 lb spayed female mixed breed (listed as a Rat Terrier Whippet mix) who came into the overcrowded Modesto animal shelter in early December. We tagged her when she was at risk due to length of stay. She is described as a graceful and bouncy, clever and spirited girl who looks into your soul. She was shy and shut down in the noisy stressful shelter but blossoms into a happy playful girl in the yard. Gloria tested well with other dogs male and female.  Foster Update: Gloria has settled in well and is a really cool dog!  She LOVES to snuggle up to you at all times. If you sit down on the ground she'll go directly in your lap and curl into a ball.  She walks nicely on a leash and is curious about new people as they walk by. Fitting of her breeds, she does have significant prey drive for squirrels and bunnies in her neighborhood, which does require some leash management. She has not had experience with cats, but given this prey drive she is probably best suited for a cat-free home. She is potty trained and crate trained, though she does prefer to be next to her people, so would prefer a family who is around a good portion of the day or can bring her with them to the office. She is friendly and interested in playing with other dogs though did show some dominance tendencies toward a small dog she met recently, so may be better matched with dogs around her own size or larger. She has been on some short runs, approximately 3 miles, and done great. We think she'll be a great pocket-sized adventure companion, and hold up to basically any outdoor activity she's asked to do.  Whoever is lucky enough to end up with this sweet girl will be getting a great companion! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Modesto, California and being transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 1/18/2024. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 4, 2024, 2:24 pm

Story
Sassy is a sweet and timid dog. She is very loving. I found her at an animal shelter in Puyallup about 7 years ago. Her breed is a rat terrier. Because she is timid I think she would be best with a family with older children (ones who would not pull on her ears or tail) or with an adult who would love to cuddle with her. I have had her since she was 4 months old. She is potty trained and well behaved. She will bark at other animals. She has been with one other dog for the past 7 years and I added a third dog about 18 months ago. I lived at an apartment complex that allowed me to have all 3 dogs. I have had to relocate recently to a different apartment complex due to a pending job relocation. A former friend was helping me by taking my oldest dog as her own. The friend has health issues and could not manage the dog due to her health issues so I have all 3 with me again. My new apartment will not allow me to keep all 3 dogs.

Story
Are you ready to add a bundle of joy and energy to your life? Look no further because Tootise, the adorable 13-week-old Rat Terrier/Lab mix, is eagerly waiting to steal your heart! Tootise may be the last of her litter, but she's certainly not lacking in personality or charm. At first glance, you might notice Tootise's shy demeanor, but don't let that fool you. Once she feels comfortable in her surroundings, this little sweetheart blossoms into a playful, spirited companion. Tootise is like a burst of sunshine on a cloudy day, bringing joy and laughter wherever she goes. Tootise absolutely adores the great outdoors, and there's nothing she loves more than running and playing to her heart's content. Whether it's chasing after toys, exploring new scents, or simply frolicking in the grass, Tootise is always up for an adventure. With her Rat Terrier/Lab mix genes, she is sure to keep you on your toes! While Tootise may be a tad reserved initially, she's incredibly loyal and forms deep bonds with those who show her kindness and patience. With a gentle approach and a little bit of time, you'll witness Tootise's true colors shining brightly, revealing her affectionate and loving nature. Tootsie is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. She is currently about 10 lbs at 13 weeks old and we estimate her to be around 20-30 lbs full grown. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog
