HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome, healthy and rugged 10-year-old Rottie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle in the evenings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have MANY positive traits - I am affectionate (I love to give hugs once I know you!), I walk well on a leash, and I am a very loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with some dogs (especially females), I can be reactive on a leash. I would thrive as an only dog, or at least as an only male dog, as I love human attention and affection and I'd do well with a strong owner, too. Please email for an application.

Hi there, my name is Octavia, a spayed 1 and a half year old, Rottweiler/Staffie mix that currently weighs about 60lbs. I'm an affectionate young lady that loves to love. I do my very best not to jump up on people to say hello but sometimes I forget then I remember again, and it ends up being more of a bunny hop. I'm a really smart girl that already knows 'watch me', 'sit', 'down' and of course the best game known to dog kind... Fetch! I really love being around people, I have been called a lovebug and would be a wonderful constant companion for anyone looking for an affectionate but very energetic new friend. I sometimes get overwhelmed since I'm still getting used new things. I would love to go to a home with older, dog-savvy kids. I can't wait to meet the whole household including any resident dogs before going home. I adopted Bella from the Lake County Shelter three months ago. She came into shelter with two other dogs that were homeless. Bella is about a year old and full of energy and curiosity. She loves meeting other dogs and people although she can be a little nervous at times. She loves going for walks, hiking, and lounging in the sun. She would do best in a home with no young children or cats. She loves being active so hopefully her human will be also. She’s a sweetheart . But we have two cats and her pray drive is too much for the cats. Our German shepherd is good with the cats after we did slow introductions but Bella still try’s to attack them after working with her for three months .
