Story
Hi out there, My name is Charlie! I'm a outgoing, adventurous young dog with gobs and gobs of energy. I enjoy meeting new people and dogs but my manners need a little work so I may be too much for younger children. I'm a happy boy that can't get enough of running zoomies in the yard and playing with toys, I'm a great walker and am up for hikes once I get all my wiggles out!  I'm a neutered male Rottweiler/ shepherd mix who is around two years old and weighs about 77 lbs. I'm very treat motivated which helps when working on my training! I would love to meet you, so please fill out the application below to learn more about me. If you are interested in meeting with me, please submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to adoptinquire@peninsulahumanesociety.org and an adoption counselor will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet in person. You must be 18 or older to submit an application. Please make sure to include in the application that you are interested in meeting me, Charlie ID # A931861. Application:  https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads. Please call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment. Our hours are weekdays from 11am-6pm and weekends from 11am-5pm (closed major holidays). Interested adopters must arrive at least 1 hour before close.  We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.October 2, 2023, 2:50 pm

Story
Are you looking for your very own little bear, aka rottweiler? Then Zelda might be your girl.. This mature lady is about four years old and weighs in at 65 pounds of pure love. Zelda is true to the breed and as loyal as they come. She is so affectionate with her people, eager to please and incredibly food motivated. She walks fantastic on leash and is crate trained. Zelda loves the water and will gladly lounge under the sprinklers, and baths are a breeze! Zelda is a low - to medium energy gal who is up for a walk or a few zoomies in the yard, but will also gladly lounge at home all day. She's a mellow girl! Zelda could be fine living with a male dog. Zelda came to us as an insecure girl who takes time initially to warm up to new people and appreciates a slower approach. But once you are her friend, you are her friend for life... If you are interested in meeting Zelda, please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. We adopt within 200 miles of San Francisco.

Story
Bandit is the perfect combination of sweet and shy that makes your heart melt. While his pictures make him look big, he is actually a pocket sized rottweiler at a little under 50 pounds. He loves his trusted humans unconditionally and wants to shadow you whenever he can. Bandit loves playing with rope toys and balls. He is crate-trained and almost house-trained. He is moderate energy, so while he enjoys his walks and play time he also loves some time laying and taking a nap by your feet. He is learning really quickly in foster care to do things like sit, lay down, be a gentleman, and wait. Bandit currently lives with small dogs, adult men, and adult women and has done well with all. He does take a moment to warm up to new people, sounds, and places but generally his reaction to these new scary things is to cower a little. There is not a mean bone in this boy's body. Bandit is always happy to see his humans when they come home and gives you all smiles. It is truly heartwarming to be part of his journey and to see his growth as a fearful dog. Bandit has been failed multiple times and was almost euthanized at Stanislaus Animal Services due to overcrowding and because everyone would pass right by this scared boy shaking in his kennel. Bandit deserves his forever family. If that might be you, be sure to fill out an adoption application: https://betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application/
