Story
Ruger is a 7-year-old, approximately 100-pound neutered Rottweiler whose owner recently became unable to care for him after moving into assisted living. He is currently safe in a temporary foster home. Ruger is a sweet, mature dog who is doing extremely well with the foster home's younger dog and is remarkably tolerant of his puppy energy. He has been living as a companion dog and is accustomed to having a person of his own. Ruger does chase cats. He has not injured one, but because of his size and interest in chasing them, he needs a cat-free home. His current foster has three cats, so she cannot safely keep him long-term. Ruger is neutered. Vaccination and veterinary records are being located/confirmed. His foster can provide additional information about his temperament and behavior as she gets to know him. Ruger came into foster care through no fault of his own. His owner was unexpectedly hospitalized and subsequently moved into assisted living and is no longer able to care for him.

He is a total love and is ready for a best friend. Some things we've learned about him:-if you think you don't like gophers- he dislikes them more!-he would like to be the little spoon in bed-sitting weirdly like a human in a chair is his super power-he lives for a tennis ball, squeaking ones preferred-is learning to kennel with stinky snacks-loves to lay in sunshine-really loves ladies but is cool with dudes too-really likes scrambled eggs-seems cool with kiddos but is very big and probably not a great fit with the littles (he's just big, not grumpy)-would thrive with a fenced yardmaybe not cats, unknown-comes across as a big dork-needs to be the only dog in a home

:sparkles:Adopt Diva :sparkles: Diva is an approximately 9/10 year old Rottweiler with a heart every bit as big as she is. With her gentle nature and laid back personality, Diva is happiest enjoying life’s simple pleasures. A tasty snack, a leisurely stroll, time spent exploring all the neighborhood scents, and a cozy spot next to her favorite people are all she needs to make her tail wag. She’s the kind of dog who brings a sense of calm wherever she goes. At 109 pounds, Diva is working toward a healthier weight to help keep her senior joints comfortable, but don’t let her size fool you! she’s easy on leash, easy to love, and incredibly easy to have around. She prefers a slower pace and would thrive in a home that appreciates quiet companionship and relaxed adventures. While Diva can be neutral with other dogs, she would thrive as the only pet in the home. She does best with males and calm/neutral females after proper introductions over time. No small dogs or kitties for Diva! After years of giving her love to others, it’s Diva’s turn to be cherished. She’s ready to spend her golden years with a family who will adore her as much as she deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion to share your couch, your walks, and your heart, Diva is waiting to meet you. Story
🧡 ADOPT RAMONA 🧡 (a.k.a. Mona • Moni • Momo) Ramona is an approximately 8-year-old, 75lb mixed breed who almost lost her life at Kern County Animal Shelter for the exact reasons dogs like her always do…older, overweight, and not “trendy” 💔 No one was coming for her. Not because she isn’t amazing… …but because she didn’t fit the look people scroll for. Then volunteers gave her a chance, a few Doggy Day Out trips and suddenly the truth came out: Ramona is everything people claim they want in a dog. Easy. Sweet. Low maintenance. Grateful just to be here 🥹 She may not be your typical bully breed… but at this point she’s basically an honorary bully 😂 She’s got the cutest frosty face and does these tiny toe-tap hops when she’s excited (especially for food or attention)…and it’s impossible not to smile watching her. She’s: ✔️ House & potty trained ✔️ Crate trained (but would absolutely choose a couch instead 🛋️) ✔️ Great with respectful dogs (medium–XL) ✔️ Calm, easygoing, and zero drama 🧬 Her DNA? Not “designer”… just perfect: • 41.5% American Pit Bull Terrier • 16.5% Rottweiler • 16.2% Chow Chow • 13.5% German Shepherd • 12.3% Supermutt No fancy label. No breeder buzzwords. Just a really, really good dog. The kind that gets passed over every single day while people keep searching for something “better.” Ramona isn’t asking for much…just a soft place to land, good food, and someone to love her for the rest of her life. After everything she’s been through—she deserves that and more. 📍 Fostered in Oakdale, CA 🐾 Ready for her forever home If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful, no-drama companion… stop scrolling. She’s right here 🧡

Adopt Brownie – The Life of the Party in a 2-Year-Old Rottie Mix Package! 🍫 At just 2 years old, Brownie is bursting with joyful, goofy puppy energy and fully believes that every room she walks into is a thrown just for her. And honestly? She might be right. This playful girlie loves being the center of attention and thrives around her people. Whether she’s zooming around the yard giving her foster brother a run for his money, supervising yard work from the best sunbathing spot, or happily hopping in for a car ride, Brownie brings confidence and fun everywhere she goes. And while she absolutely enjoys playtime and adventure, she’s also a professional at sneaking in a few well-earned daily cat naps. After a good round of zoomies, this girlie is more than happy to recharge with a cozy snooze near her humans. ✨ Ingredients to Falling in Love with Brownie: • A heaping cup of dog-friendly sweetness (great with pups of all sizes) • A generous scoop of kid-approved gentleness • A dash of fearless confidence • Two big spoonfuls of playful yard zoomies • A sprinkle of sunbathing supervisor energy • Impeccable crate manners folded in perfectly • And the secret ingredient: an eager-to-please heart that makes training a joy Brownie is incredibly smart and working diligently on mastering patience with commands like “wait” and “down,” making her an adorable and increasingly polite girlie. With consistency and love, she will absolutely flourish. She would thrive in an active home that embraces her fun-loving personality while continuing her training and structure. Brownie has a big spirit, a loving heart, and she’s ready to be someone’s forever best friend. Story
Fuho is a very sweet and extroverted 6 y/o male Rottweiler Mutt. In spite of his size, he is very gentle with people! He is social and loves playing with other dogs and very open to meeting new people. Off the bat, he will be very excited to meet and play with you. He loves playing fetch and chewing on chew toys.He typically sleeps outside in a warm dog house at night, but he is fine indoors and spends most of his time there. He lives with another big dog, a female German Shepherd named Bobo. Out of the two dogs, even though he's bigger, he's actually more timid, often coming to his owner for comfort when Bobo bullies him. Ideally they would be adopted together, but it's not required. He would do well in another household with a dog he can play with, or that can take him out to socialize with other dogs. He would thrive in a home that can take good care of a big dog and give him lots of love. Please give him a loving home!
