Story
Meet Royce, a distinguished senior Rottweiler with a heart as big as his paws. He enjoys his short strolls, takin in the sights and smells at his own pace. While he’s curious about other dogs, some may pass him by- but those who take the time to know him discover a truly sweet and gentle soul. Royce may be older, but he still has plenty of love to give and is hoping for a home that sees the special dog he is. Interested in meeting me? Please visit our adoption center located at 12425 Monterey Rd in San Martin anytime during open hours (12-6pm weekdays, 12-5 pm weekends). No appointment is necessary and there is no pre-application process.

Story
Hi there, my name is Octavia, a spayed 1 and a half year old, Rottweiler/Staffie mix that currently weighs about 60lbs. I'm an affectionate young lady that loves to love. I do my very best not to jump up on people to say hello but sometimes I forget then I remember again, and it ends up being more of a bunny hop. I'm a really smart girl that already knows 'watch me', 'sit', 'down' and of course the best game known to dog kind... Fetch! I really love being around people, I have been called a lovebug and would be a wonderful constant companion for anyone looking for an affectionate but very energetic new friend. I sometimes get overwhelmed since I'm still getting used new things. I would love to go to a home with older, dog-savvy kids. I can't wait to meet the whole household including any resident dogs before going home. For more information, just ask Customer Service about Octavia ID# A953428Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome, healthy and rugged 10-year-old Rottie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle in the evenings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have MANY positive traits - I am affectionate (I love to give hugs once I know you!), I walk well on a leash, and I am a very loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with some dogs (especially females), I can be reactive on a leash. I would thrive as an only dog, or at least as an only male dog, as I love human attention and affection and I'd do well with a strong owner, too. Please email for an application.

She’s easy to leash and walk, and handled her shelter intake like a pro—cool, collected, and cooperative. Reesy hasn’t revealed her full personality just yet—she’s still settling in—but she’s already shown that she’s observant, composed, and ready to connect when she feels comfortable. She’d likely do best as a solo pup or with a dog who respects her boundaries. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, independent companion who marches to the beat of her own drum, Reesy might just be your match.April 18, 2025, 2:36 pm

Story
Rex is our very special sweetheart. In the home, he is an absolute cuddle bug who can be slow to warm up with new people. Once you earn his trust, he is the most loyal little man ever. Rex loves to play tug-of-war and despite being a tripod, he has the stamina to run for a while! He is a bit of an anxious fellow and would do best as an only dog in the house--he has been bit by a large breed dog before and is reactive with most of them.

Story
This is Rocket - he’s a people pleaser who love companionship and attention. He’ll follow us around the house and lay at our feet when we’re home. He’s been through training as a puppy though he needs continual practice and learning. He is a lover who has a silly smiley face. He is very loyal and eager to please. He has a lot of energy and doesn’t know his own size / strength. He thinks he is the size of a lap dog and will love to cuddle up with you. He’s not great with all other dogs or people. Proper introduction is needed as he is very protective of his family / home (he can bite them as he is a protector). He may take time to adjust but is a lover once done so. When on walks, he sometimes bites us while out of excitement / overwhelmed when he sees other dogs / people on the street. We have other male dogs in the house and it is obvious that he is trying to claim dominance. He is a great dog but is in need of an owner that can give him time, training, love and patience.

Story
Hi there! I’m writing to you about my two adorable 11-month-old dogs, Koda and Nero. They are lovable, caring, and playful pups who have been through a lot. Last year, I got them, but unfortunately, some home and family issues have made it difficult for me to care for them as I used to. They’re both great with kids, and they’re a mix of Labrador and Doberman. They are a medium-sized dog, and he’s been with his brother 24/7. If you’re interested in adopting them both, please let me know. If not, don’t worry, they’ll find a loving home too. Koda does bark a bit, but he’ll quiet down when you tell him to. I just want them to be in a good, loving home where they’ll receive the attention and love they deserve.
