Story
Meet  Bailey, the happiest dog you can ever hope to meet!  She has never met a human she doesn’t like and greets everyone like they are a long lost friend!   She is house and kennel trained, happily sleeping in her kennel at night and when needed during the day but will  enthusiastically  jump in the car when given the opportunity to tag along!  She is currently enrolled in obedience classes and knows all her basic commands (sit, down, stay, wait, leave it and touch) and is working hard to learn to keep four paws on the ground!   She is dog social and would enjoy a playmate but might not do well with a cat, they look too much like squirrels.   Due to her exuberance she will do best with children over 8 and will need a secure HIGH fence to keep her safely inside.   To meet this amazing girl put in an app at eapl.com, her adoption fee is $250. Story
**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days.  Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly.  Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs.  When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program.  One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training.  When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training.  Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs.  To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont.  It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family.  We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success.   If you are inerested in adopting Mollie please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1403699##

Retta is a Rottweile. my career has ramped up so I’m traveling quite a bit, and Rettas getting more physically mature (she’s 17 months) and needs some more attention and space to roam. We live in a town home in the city and Retta really deserves a yard possibly with other doggos to hang out with all day while us hoomans are at work. She is very kind and gentle with hoomans but does like to get a bit rambunctious while playing with other dogs. She is housebroken and is quite smart and quick to pick up new rules and tricks. She’s a fantastic pup and deserves a better life than I can currently provide her. I’m hoping we can find her a beautiful loving family with a yard soon!

Story
This little sweetie is looking for someone with a big, big heart to take care of her. She's dealing with an autoimmune deficiency called Masticatory Muscle Myositis in which her immune system attacks the muscles around her mouth and head. All of this is manageable with a special diet and medication, but she's going to need someone who is ready for that responsibility. She's one of the kindest dogs I've ever met, very curious, and sweet as could be. If you're interested in meeting Coco, fill out an application here: https://acesangels.org/aceadopt.html

Story
Cassidy is a 4 year old Rottweiler that was saved from death row. Cassidy is a very typical rottie — super human-oriented, friendly, stoic. She is a very very sweet dog that loves belly rubs and thinks she's a lap dog. She eats and sleeps great and is house trained with monitoring. She does not like cats. She is great with kids and is food/treat motivated. Cassidy can be dog selective but has integrated successfully with the foster family's dogs. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been dewormed. Cassidy would love to be part of a family that keep her occupied as part of daily routine. Cassidy is $350 to adopt.

Story
Maddie, cane corso, spayed female, 4 yoMaddie is so adorable, comical and lots of love. Only Maddie can bark at the picture of a dog on a dog food bag. With time gets deeply attached and you can have almost human connection with her. Maddie was abandoned in a trailer with no heat, food or water, her puppies taken to be sold. We can only imagine the despair she must have felt. When she got to the rescue, she was skin and bones. But she was still giving kisses and wagging her tail when we got her at the rescue. Now Maddie is healthy, playful and energetic. Bonded with the boxer Odie, but apprehensive with the new dogs. Good with calm friendly dogs she knows.   Needs a yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. If adopted with Odie, the fee will be reduced for both. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at https://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.comApril 22, 2024, 2:44 pm
