Story
Loretta had a rough start in life, spending most of her days confined to a crate alongside her siblings. When she first came to us, she was terrified of nearly everything and didn’t even know how to play with toys. But in a short amount of time, this sweet girl has made incredible progress. Loretta now loves playing in the yard with her doggie siblings. She’s respectful of cats, curious about chickens, and happiest when she’s near her people. During the workday, you’ll usually find her lounging quietly under my desk, and in the evenings she loves cuddling up on the couch. She’s doing wonderfully on leash and is learning how to stay calm when passing barking neighborhood dogs. Loretta already knows how to sit and patiently wait for her food, and she takes treats ever so gently. She sleeps beautifully through the night and has even mastered the occasional lazy weekend sleep-in with us. She is also potty-trained. While crates are still hard for her (understandably), she sleeps peacefully in her own dog bed next to ours. She’s past the puppy chewing phase, and although she may cry briefly when left alone, she settles down quickly with her doggie siblings nearby. We believe Loretta would thrive in a home with another confident dog who can continue showing her the ropes. She’s still shy around men, but with patience, kindness, and plenty of treats, she’s learning that men can be safe and loving. Loretta is such a special girl with so much love to give. She just needs a patient family willing to continue helping her blossom into the confident, happy dog she’s becoming. Put in an application at eapl.com Her adoption fee is $375 May 15, 2026, 5:05 pm

Story
Hi there, my name is Leila. I'm the best dog greeter in my doggie daycare. I love balls and toys, going for car rides and love to play with dogs and people.  I walk well on leash, but am scared of bikes and scooters - wheelie things are weird!  I am extremely affectionate and loveable. I have a million facial expressions. I love being outside and playing in the snow. I'm working on my nice leash walking, but am making good progress. I love to explore and sometimes my nose leads me off path.  I would make a great addition to an active home preferably with another dog!  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations ##2079620##

Story
**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days.  Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly.  Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs.  When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program.  One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training.  When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training.  Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs.  To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont.  It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family.  We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success.   If you are inerested in adopting Mollie please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1403699##

Not good with dogs, Not good with cats,
Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Hi, I’m Brutus. Yes, I’m technically an adult dog… but spiritually I am a large enthusiastic puppy who hasn’t quite realized how big he is yet. My favorite hobbies include: • Melting dramatically into my person for pets• Supervising work calls by snoring in the background• Learning new things so I can hear “good boy” (my favorite phrase)• Climbing onto furniture like I’m a tiny cat trapped in a very large dog body Seriously, if there is a couch, chair, ottoman, or suspiciously climbable surface nearby, I will probably attempt to scale it. Personal boundaries and “four paws on the floor” are still concepts I’m working on. Apparently not every piece of furniture was designed to hold 58 pounds of determined cuddle bug. News to me. The good news? I’m smart, eager to please, and I genuinely enjoy training. I’d really thrive with someone experienced who can continue teaching me structure, boundaries, and good household manners. I’m the kind of dog who comes with a lot of potential and a huge goofy personality. I’m already a pretty responsible dude in a lot of ways. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I sleep through the night like a champ. In the mornings I enjoy some training time and a nice walk before settling in for my important daytime job: Professional Napper During Zoom Meetings. I’m very attentive and I really love my person. I’m the kind of dog who checks in, listens, and tries hard to get it right. I bond deeply with my humans and love being involved in whatever you’re doing. If you want a dog who wants to be your sidekick 24/7, I’m absolutely your guy. I also recently had elbow surgery to help correct some joint issues, and I’m currently recovering like a champ. My future family should be prepared to help me stay healthy with low-impact exercise, good weight management, and continued structure while I heal and grow stronger. Long walks and adventures with my person? Amazing. Launching myself off furniture like a WWE wrestler? Apparently not ideal for my long-term career plans. Because I’m a big, intelligent working-breed mix, I do best with consistency, clear boundaries, and continued training. I’m extremely people-focused, eager to learn, and very rewarding to work with for someone who enjoys building a strong bond with their dog. I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can be the one and only pet. I really love having my people to myself and feel most comfortable in a calm, structured environment without other animals around. Cats are definitely not my thing, and I can get overstimulated around other dogs, so I’ll thrive best as your one-and-only sidekick. I also need thoughtful management around food and high-value items, so I’m looking for someone experienced, patient, and committed to continuing my training and helping me succeed. In return, you get a deeply loyal, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be near his person and included in daily life. With the right structure and consistency, I’m an incredibly rewarding dog. I’m affectionate, expressive, hilarious, and full of personality. I want a person who sees my potential, appreciates my giant-puppy energy, and wants a best friend to learn and grow alongside. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, a big cuddle bug, and a dog who will absolutely lean his full body weight against you for pets… I might be your guy. — Brutus ##2681217##

Story
This is Kane. He had to flee NM after allegedly committing tax fraud, which is tough when you’re a 100-pound Rottweiler with no access to accounting software. He’s laying low now and rebuilding his life one chicken treat at a time. Kane is convinced he’s a lap dog. If you sit down, you’ve agreed to cuddles — it’s legally binding. He’s affectionate, smart, mildly dramatic, and very food motivated. He enjoys short, relaxed walks and exploring at his own pace. Recent X-rays showed severe arthritis in his front elbow from untreated elbow dysplasia (turns out crime doesn’t pay… especially for your joints). He’s currently comfortable, but an orthopedic consult would be a good idea, and he’ll likely need pain management as he ages. It doesn’t slow him down much — he just prefers the “retired mastermind” lifestyle over marathon training. If you’re looking for a big, loving, loyal companion who wants to be your shadow (and your lap dog), Kane is your guy. ##2666755##
