Story
Hi, I’m Brutus. Yes, I’m technically an adult dog… but spiritually I am a large enthusiastic puppy who hasn’t quite realized how big he is yet. My favorite hobbies include: • Melting dramatically into my person for pets• Supervising work calls by snoring in the background• Learning new things so I can hear “good boy” (my favorite phrase)• Climbing onto furniture like I’m a tiny cat trapped in a very large dog body Seriously, if there is a couch, chair, ottoman, or suspiciously climbable surface nearby, I will probably attempt to scale it. Personal boundaries and “four paws on the floor” are still concepts I’m working on. Apparently not every piece of furniture was designed to hold 58 pounds of determined cuddle bug. News to me. The good news? I’m smart, eager to please, and I genuinely enjoy training. I’d really thrive with someone experienced who can continue teaching me structure, boundaries, and good household manners. I’m the kind of dog who comes with a lot of potential and a huge goofy personality. I’m already a pretty responsible dude in a lot of ways. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I sleep through the night like a champ. In the mornings I enjoy some training time and a nice walk before settling in for my important daytime job: Professional Napper During Zoom Meetings. I’m very attentive and I really love my person. I’m the kind of dog who checks in, listens, and tries hard to get it right. I bond deeply with my humans and love being involved in whatever you’re doing. If you want a dog who wants to be your sidekick 24/7, I’m absolutely your guy. I also recently had elbow surgery to help correct some joint issues, and I’m currently recovering like a champ. My future family should be prepared to help me stay healthy with low-impact exercise, good weight management, and continued structure while I heal and grow stronger. Long walks and adventures with my person? Amazing. Launching myself off furniture like a WWE wrestler? Apparently not ideal for my long-term career plans. Because I’m a big, intelligent working-breed mix, I do best with consistency, clear boundaries, and continued training. I’m extremely people-focused, eager to learn, and very rewarding to work with for someone who enjoys building a strong bond with their dog. I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can be the one and only pet. I really love having my people to myself and feel most comfortable in a calm, structured environment without other animals around. Cats are definitely not my thing, and I can get overstimulated around other dogs, so I’ll thrive best as your one-and-only sidekick. I also need thoughtful management around food and high-value items, so I’m looking for someone experienced, patient, and committed to continuing my training and helping me succeed. In return, you get a deeply loyal, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be near his person and included in daily life. With the right structure and consistency, I’m an incredibly rewarding dog. I’m affectionate, expressive, hilarious, and full of personality. I want a person who sees my potential, appreciates my giant-puppy energy, and wants a best friend to learn and grow alongside. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, a big cuddle bug, and a dog who will absolutely lean his full body weight against you for pets… I might be your guy. — Brutus ##2681217##

Story
This sweet boy is the ultimate pup! Ziggy has a fun, affectionate personality that will make you want to play and snuggle all day long. He is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly—he loves his afternoon zoomies with a tennis ball, but when nighttime rolls around, there is nothing he loves more than snoozing as close to you as possible. We have absolutely adored having Ziggy. He’s already doing great on the leash, has been happily socialized with lots of kids, is almost fully potty trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. He is a true sweetheart who is going to make an absolutely wonderful addition to any lucky family! ##2764716##

Story
This is Kane. He had to flee NM after allegedly committing tax fraud, which is tough when you’re a 100-pound Rottweiler with no access to accounting software. He’s laying low now and rebuilding his life one chicken treat at a time. Kane is convinced he’s a lap dog. If you sit down, you’ve agreed to cuddles — it’s legally binding. He’s affectionate, smart, mildly dramatic, and very food motivated. He enjoys short, relaxed walks and exploring at his own pace. Recent X-rays showed severe arthritis in his front elbow from untreated elbow dysplasia (turns out crime doesn’t pay… especially for your joints). He’s currently comfortable, but an orthopedic consult would be a good idea, and he’ll likely need pain management as he ages. It doesn’t slow him down much — he just prefers the “retired mastermind” lifestyle over marathon training. If you’re looking for a big, loving, loyal companion who wants to be your shadow (and your lap dog), Kane is your guy. ##2666755##

Sloan is a sweet boy who is absolutely bursting with personality! He is the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and a well-behaved demeanor. Outgoing, silly, and full of charm, he brings joy to everyone he meets. He is already an excellent leash walker, almost completely potty-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and does incredibly well when left home alone. Meet Bianca!  Bianca is a Rottweiler mix with a name that means “espresso” in Portuguese — and she’s just as lively and warm as that sounds. She’s a total people dog who wants to be by your side at all times, and she greets every new person excitement. Smart and eager to please, Bianca is very food motivated and has ‘sit’ down. She loves to be active out on a walk where we are still working on her leash manners and she has had zero indoor accidents. She’s picking up fetch quickly and loves to play, making her a great candidate for a home that enjoys an active, engaged puppy. One thing to know: Bianca has a deep desire for chasing birds — it’s her one true calling. She’d do best with people who have time for training and energy to match hers, and she’d love a home with another friendly dog to keep her company. ##2764632##

Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Sida Bay (9) and Scarlett (11) are a bonded pair of Doberman girls who recently lost the only family they've ever known when their beloved mom passed away. Even if you aren't familiar with the Dobie breed, these girls are so easy, gentle and sweet they will capture your heart. They do not need to be with someone who has breed experience - they are that good. These girls are truly something special. They are fully house-trained, respectful, easy to live with, and incredibly devoted to their people. They get along beautifully with other dogs, adore humans, and are happiest simply being close to those they love. They currently live with 2 other large dogs - a male and female and everyone is the best of friends! Their ideal day? A leisurely breakfast, a comfy bed, a sunny spot for a nap , and each other. Sida Bay, has a gorgeous red coat and is 106 pounds of loyalty, affection, and Doberman devotion.  Scarlett has a pretty blue/silver coat and is an 81-pound goofball with the gentlest soul you'll ever meet.  House-trained Great with other dogs Friendly, calm, and social Heartworm negative Bonded and deeply devoted to one another Scarlett has hypothyroidism, but it's easily managed with inexpensive medication—It is only $16 for a 90 day supply at Chewy. The rescue will happily cover that for the right home. And there's more good news: thanks to an amazing sponsor, their adoption fees have been fully paid! We know adopting two senior dogs may not be what most people picture when they start looking for a pet. But for the lucky family who gives these girls a chance, they'll gain two grateful hearts and the kind of companionship that only comes from dogs who know how precious a home truly is. Please help us find Sida Bay and Scarlett the soft landing they deserve.  Through all the confusion and change, they have stayed exactly who they've always been: sweet, gentle, loving companions.
