Story
Hi there, my name is Leila. I'm the best dog greeter in my doggie daycare. I love balls and toys, going for car rides and love to play with dogs and people.  I walk well on leash, but am scared of bikes and scooters - wheelie things are weird!  I am extremely affectionate and loveable. I have a million facial expressions. I love being outside and playing in the snow. I'm working on my nice leash walking, but am making good progress. I love to explore and sometimes my nose leads me off path.  I would make a great addition to an active home preferably with another dog!  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations ##2079620##

Story
In 2024 I was volunteering at a local animal shelter and absolutely fell in love with a mama dog who came in with 5 babies who all survived parvo. I brought her home hoping she would be a good companion to my current dog, but unfortunately their relationship did not grow. It has become clear in the last year and a half that they will not be friends and we believe there is a better home for Cheddar where she is the only dog. This girl loves nothing more than to snuggle, she could lay with you all day. She’s a great guard dog, and loves chasing squirrels and playing tug. She needs to be the only pet in your house. She has dog reactivity and a bite history with our other dog. Because of these behavioral complexities, it would be best for her to be in a house with only older children. A home visit and multiple meet and greets with her will be required to move forward with adoption. It’s our goal to find her a home where she can thrive.

Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Meet Coco! Coco has already been through more than most puppies ever should, but you’d never know it from the way she embraces life! This gorgeous Rottweiler mix came to us from Kansas with her sisters and battled her way through parvo, proving just how resilient she is. Now Coco is ready to leave the tough stuff behind and focus on the important things: soaking up love, having fun, and being the best puppy she can be. She’s got an adorable personality and a whole lot of love to give, and we have a feeling her forever family is going to wonder how they ever lived without her. Coco fought hard for her second chance, and now she’s ready for the happy ending she deserves! ##2814877##

Story
Lexi is a sweet, silly puppy who is ready to bring lots of fun, love, and puppy kisses to her forever home! This happy girl loves to play, be goofy, and soak up attention. She absolutely adores her foster sister, and the two of them love to play and wrestle together all day long. Lexi also does wonderfully around her foster cat and mostly just ignores him—which is exactly what you want! Lexi is already doing some great things! She sleeps through the night, uses the dog door, and is making great progress with crate training. She’s almost potty trained, although she still has the occasional puppy accident. Like any puppy, Lexi is still learning and growing. She’ll do best with a family who is ready to continue helping her build confidence, learn good manners, and navigate all the fun (and sometimes chaotic!) stages of puppyhood. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, silly little companion to keep you laughing and on your toes, Lexi might just be your girl!  ##2816840##

Story
Hi, I’m Brutus. Yes, I’m technically an adult dog… but spiritually I am a large enthusiastic puppy who hasn’t quite realized how big he is yet. My favorite hobbies include: • Melting dramatically into my person for pets• Supervising work calls by snoring in the background• Learning new things so I can hear “good boy” (my favorite phrase)• Climbing onto furniture like I’m a tiny cat trapped in a very large dog body Seriously, if there is a couch, chair, ottoman, or suspiciously climbable surface nearby, I will probably attempt to scale it. Personal boundaries and “four paws on the floor” are still concepts I’m working on. Apparently not every piece of furniture was designed to hold 58 pounds of determined cuddle bug. News to me. The good news? I’m smart, eager to please, and I genuinely enjoy training. I’d really thrive with someone experienced who can continue teaching me structure, boundaries, and good household manners. I’m the kind of dog who comes with a lot of potential and a huge goofy personality. I’m already a pretty responsible dude in a lot of ways. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I sleep through the night like a champ. In the mornings I enjoy some training time and a nice walk before settling in for my important daytime job: Professional Napper During Zoom Meetings. I’m very attentive and I really love my person. I’m the kind of dog who checks in, listens, and tries hard to get it right. I bond deeply with my humans and love being involved in whatever you’re doing. If you want a dog who wants to be your sidekick 24/7, I’m absolutely your guy. I also recently had elbow surgery to help correct some joint issues, and I’m currently recovering like a champ. My future family should be prepared to help me stay healthy with low-impact exercise, good weight management, and continued structure while I heal and grow stronger. Long walks and adventures with my person? Amazing. Launching myself off furniture like a WWE wrestler? Apparently not ideal for my long-term career plans. Because I’m a big, intelligent working-breed mix, I do best with consistency, clear boundaries, and continued training. I’m extremely people-focused, eager to learn, and very rewarding to work with for someone who enjoys building a strong bond with their dog. I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can be the one and only pet. I really love having my people to myself and feel most comfortable in a calm, structured environment without other animals around. Cats are definitely not my thing, and I can get overstimulated around other dogs, so I’ll thrive best as your one-and-only sidekick. I also need thoughtful management around food and high-value items, so I’m looking for someone experienced, patient, and committed to continuing my training and helping me succeed. In return, you get a deeply loyal, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be near his person and included in daily life. With the right structure and consistency, I’m an incredibly rewarding dog. I’m affectionate, expressive, hilarious, and full of personality. I want a person who sees my potential, appreciates my giant-puppy energy, and wants a best friend to learn and grow alongside. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, a big cuddle bug, and a dog who will absolutely lean his full body weight against you for pets… I might be your guy. — Brutus ##2681217##

Story
Meet Blaze: A Fun-Loving, 4-Month-Old Boxer Mix!If you are looking for a happy-go-lucky adventure buddy, look no further! At just over 4 months old, Blaze is an adorable Boxer mix with a sweet soul and a mountain of love to give. He is an outgoing, friendly pup who greets the world with an open heart and a wagging tail. The Ultimate PlaymateBlaze is a social butterfly who absolutely loves playing with other dogs and can never have too many toys. With his high energy and playful spirit, he would thrive in a home with a large yard to zoom around in, or with a family who loves being active. He has the perfect foundation to become an incredible partner for walking, running, or hiking once he gets a little older. Human-Friendly & SweetBlaze is naturally good with new people and is incredibly affectionate. He is also a total gentleman at meal times, showing great manners and zero issues with food removal. Because he is still a young puppy, his comfort level with children and cats is currently unknown, but his friendly, outgoing nature gives him a fantastic head start. Routines & Training GoalsBlaze is already doing a wonderful job with his potty training! On the leash, he is doing okay but is still learning the ropes of walking in a straight line. Like any smart, high-energy puppy, Blaze is looking for a family eager to teach him the basics. He currently needs a little guidance when it comes to verbal commands, but he is eager to please and will absolutely thrive with positive reinforcement training. Blaze is a total catch who will bring endless joy, laughter, and love to an active household. If you are ready for puppy cuddles, fun playtime, and a loyal friend for life, come meet this adorable fella today! Would you like me to write a catchy title or a short caption for a social media post to help get Blaze noticed? ##2813299##

Story
Meet Zuma Zuma is a sweet, loving, and outgoing 5-month-old boy who is ready to find his forever family! He is a curious little guy who loves exploring the world around him and taking everything in. He especially enjoys going on walks and is already a great walker on a leash. Zuma is very social and loves being around his people. He is friendly with everyone he meets and is always excited to make new friends. He also loves spending his days playing with the resident dogs, chewing on bones, and having fun with his favorite toys. He has even formed a special bond with one of his foster sisters, and the two spend a good part of their day playing together. At night, Zuma sleeps great in his crate. He usually needs a little encouragement (and some treats!) to go in, but once he is settled, he lays down and falls right asleep. Occasionally, if he hears people still awake, he may whine a little because he doesn't want to miss out—but it doesn't last long. Zuma is still working on his potty training, so his new family will need to continue helping him learn. He does well with the sit command and is currently learning focus and touch. Zuma is a happy, affectionate, playful puppy who loves people, dogs, walks, toys, and plenty of attention. He has so much personality and love to give, and he would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a fun and loving companion. ##2813305##
