Story
Bella is an adorable petite bunny-eared girl weighing just 42 pounds who is a sweet, wiggly, and shy lady, Bella doesn’t ask for much; she loves the simple things like hanging out with her family and going on walks. Bella has a reserved yet affectionate demeanor. Adopted in 2022 after being turned in to ACCTPhilly as a stray, Bella spent several happy years with her owner until they surrendered her back to the ACCT Philly in February 2026. When her second stay there became too long and with dozens of dogs entering the shelter daily, Bella was Timestamped. Fortunately, we were able fo pull her and she is now blossoming in her foster home! Bella does have a noted history of resource guarding dating back to her original shelter stay, but with proper management and separation for meals and fun chews, she has shown she is completely capable of living with another dog and she has a history of being okay with cats. With her behavioral needs in mind, Bella requires a loving household that is equipped to manage her resource guarding, and ensure that any food or high-value items are given under supervision and while Bella is separated from any other resident pets. With additional training and proper management of her known behavioral needs, Bella is sure to bring light, love, and joy to her new family. Bella loves cuddles, loves going for walks and walks well on leash, loves to talk to her people using grunts and groans. Story
Meet Paige, a charming, petite pitbull terrier with a beautiful tan coat. Born around September 2022, she’s already spayed and up to date her vaccines, making her ready for her forever home. Paige is housebroken and crate-trained, showcasing her excellent manners. Full of energy, she thrives on playful activities and enriching mental stimulation. While she currently lives in an urban area, we believe she would absolutely flourish in a peaceful suburban or rural setting with a secure fenced yard. The city noises can be overwhelming for her, and a quieter environment would allow her to truly shine. We adore this delightful girl, and we’re certain you will too! Don’t miss the chance to welcome Paige into your life—apply today! https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

Story
Luke is the kind of dog who lives for the joy of movement—ears flying, paws pounding, tail wagging as he races around a yard without a care in the world. At just 4 years old, this white mixed-breed terrier is bursting with energy and heart, and he’s ready to share it all with a family of his own. Luke is looking for a special home: adult-only or older dog-savvy teens, where he can be the only pet, and with a fenced yard for him to run and run to his heart’s content. After a day of play, he’s a fantastic car companion, sleeps soundly in his crate, and happily chews on a good bone. He even “watches” basketball on TV, cocking his head to the sounds of the game. But as unstoppable as Luke’s spirit is, his world is quietly changing—he’s losing his vision. It can’t be fixed, but it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. Luke doesn’t need expensive medical care or special treatment. He’s still the same vibrant, playful boy, ready to run, love, and live life to the fullest with the people who finally choose him. What Luke needs most is someone who sees beyond what’s fading and recognizes everything he still is: vibrant, loving, and ready to give his whole heart. Luke has waited long enough for his second chance. Could you be the one to give it to him? Apply today to give Luke the forever he’s been dreaming of: https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

Story
Donny Perez (ACCT-A-246590) is a young pup who came to the shelter after being found tied to a fence as a stray. Despite this uncertain start, he has shown himself to be a resilient and joyful dog who is ready to leave his past behind and find a loving home. Donny is described as an incredibly happy, affectionate boy whose tail never stops wagging when he’s around people. He seeks out attention, enjoys pets, and has a soft, gentle demeanor that makes him easy to love. He already knows basic commands like sit and lay down, and he enjoys playing with toys—especially chasing a ball, even if he’s still working on bringing it back. In playgroup, Donny has shown that he is social and enjoys engaging with other dogs, displaying playful energy and enthusiasm. He continues to show positive interactions with both people and other dogs, making him a great candidate for a home looking for a friendly and fun companion. 📽️Videos📽️ Playgroup 4/3/26: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnvoGYrJkIbw3uvB7hfNejSjQOkpye7e ⭐Behavioral Notes⭐ 04/05/2026 per staff: I observed him at playgroup the other day, he was social and friendly to his handler and other people while on the leash, and in the yard, appeared to be having a great time! Making foster eligible Playgroup 4/3: Not steerable with water and showed signs of defensiveness toward it. Steerable with shake can (5/10). Lots of fast push/pull play with everyone. Subtle attempts to mount Labello, but nothing persistent. 04/02/2026 Per volunteer, "Donny is such a happy boy. His tail non stop wags for everyone he sees. He loves pets and has the softest fur. He enjoys running for the ball. Not so much on bringing it back but he tries. He knows how to sit and lay down. He's such a sweet boy that will be such a great companion.
