Story
Meet Charlie Boy! He is a Rottweiler/Labrador/Pittie mix. He is around 2 years old. Charlie Boy is a courtesy post for House of Hope at Shelton WA. He has been staying at House of Hope for several months now and is ready for his new home. Charlie Boy was surrendered, because his family no longer had time for him. He's a very sweet, affectionate, and playful dog. He loves just being wherever you are. He is a big lapdog. He has lived with 6 other dogs over the last several months and has done extremely well, considering he was never around dogs, before coming to House of Hope. He can get a little fear reactive in new situations but settles down quickly. I took my time introducing him to the pack here, about a week, and he did great. He really prefers girl dogs over boy dogs. If he is placed in a home with another dog, then the other dog should be a confident dog. He is not a dog park dog, and I would not take him into stores, because he would most likely become overwhelmed and fear reactive. He pulls very hard on a regular leash and collar, so he is walked with a no pull harness. He loves car rides, but barks at people he sees walking/biking. Charlie will only be adopted out to someone that has experience with a dog like him...no exceptions. He would be happiest in quiet, calm settings. He loves dog toys, fetching, and hanging out in his yard, giving lots of love, treats, going on walks in his neighborhood, car rides for a pup cup. As his foster mom, I have grown extremely fond of Charlie Boy, because of his sweet, loveable, and goofy personality. Charlie Boy is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, house trained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. He is also muzzle trained. If interested in adopting Charlie Boy, please submit an adoption application and we will forward it to House of Hope at Shelton WA. His adoption does require a home visit, adoption contract, and an adoption fee of $350.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Rock! He is a beautiful and sweet 90lb, ~2 yo, Cane Corso/Rottweiler/Lab mix. He came to us from California in hopes of finding his forever family! Rock is an all around awesome dog! He is friendly, goofy, playful, and a good time! He is a very strong boy, so will need adopters who are experienced with large breeds and can handle him. Rock has a great demeanor, and life-of-the-party personality. He loves people, making new friends, and dogs too! He has done great with dogs in our care and is playful. He can be a little vocal and excited when meeting dogs for the first time, but he just wants to say hello! Rock will thrive in a home that can continue basic obedience, and be social with him. He enjoys walks, meeting people, attention and treats! Since Rock is a big and bouncy boy, we are recommending older kids. He could knock over or accidentally hurt a small child due to his size. He is not tested with cats. Rock is neutered, UTD on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome and healthy 10-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle and take me for walks and other outings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a few years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. I get along well with other dogs, particularly females. And I love human attention - I am warm and caring. I'd do well with a strong owner, too. Please email for an application. I'm currently still in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application and additional photos.

Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. The classic debate- left Twix versus right Twix... Either way, it'll be delicious!! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey. I was found when I was 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted for about a year but have, otherwise, spent my life in the rescue system. I'm now entering my golden years and have been overlooked for long enough! I have lived with many dogs in the past but, at my age, I prefer those that are lower energy and will live and let live. I would also be fine as the only dog. I am a generally lazy guy but I still have a stubborn streak and will assert myself if needed. I'm not a fan of smaller animals (cats, birds, etc.) unless we are talking about favorite snacks. In my foster home, I am an easy-going guy and the BIGGEST LOVER. I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my humans. They give the best back scratches, I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I am also amazing on leash so walks are a breeze. My favorite way to get around though, is a ride in the car. I love nothing more than cruising around the neighborhood with the wind in my ears. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! Choose me and I will melt your heart like a Twix bar in the Texas sun. Don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Prescott! Prescott is a 5-month-old, 22 lb Boxer/Labrador Retriever mix puppy who came to us from an overcrowded shelter. This sweet little guy is full of puppy charm and is ready to find a family who will help him grow into the amazing adult dog he’s meant to be! Prescott is affectionate, playful, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. He’s an active puppy who enjoys playing, exploring, and being part of the action. He would love to have another friendly, well-adjusted dog in his forever home to be his playmate, help burn off some puppy energy, and show him the ropes. As with any young puppy, Prescott is looking for adopters who are ready to take on the fun and responsibility of raising a puppy. He’ll need continued obedience training, structure, boundaries, mental enrichment, exercise, and lots of positive experiences to help him become a confident, well-mannered adult. A canine companion would be great for Prescott, but he could also thrive as an only dog with adopters who have a solid plan for keeping him well-socialized with other dogs and exposing him to the world in positive ways. Prescott is just a happy, loving little guy who is ready to learn, play, and grow alongside his forever family. If you’re looking for a sweet puppy with a big heart and lots of potential, Prescott could be your perfect match! Prescott is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED FOR ONE OF OUR LONG-TIMERS! Cody has been waiting for his forever family with us for 6 YEARS! He is such a sweet boy, and deserves to spend his golden years in a warm and loving home. Cody is a 8-9 year old, 60lb, Boxer/Shepherd mix. He is sweet and has lots of love to give, despite a rough beginning. He bonds deeply to his people and loves attention and affection. He is smart, enjoys treats and is glad to work for them! He will thrive in a home that can provide continued training and structure. He still has quite a bit of energy for an older pup and would love a home that will take him on walks to explore, and better yet, a home with his own fenced yard to run and play! He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 10 as he can be a bit jumpy when excited. Cody does well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. He can be a little over interested in small, barky dogs, but is great with medium to large dogs. Cody is UTD on shots, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $350.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Gecko! Gecko is a 1.5-year-old, 40 lb Lab/Doberman mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter. This sweet, spunky, and goofy boy is ready to find an active family to join on all of life’s adventures! Gecko is an energetic, young dog who loves to get out, explore, and have fun. He would thrive in a home that enjoys daily walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. Whether he’s exploring a new trail or playing with his favorite people, Gecko is always ready to be part of the action. Gecko is social and playful with other dogs and would love to have a compatible canine companion in his forever home. He can be a vocal player and may growl or grumble while having fun, but this is simply part of his enthusiastic play style. He would enjoy another playful dog who can keep up with his energy and help provide continued socialization. When Gecko spots another dog while out on a walk, he can get very excited and may pull or become eager to say hello. Once he has the opportunity to meet the other dog appropriately, he is typically happy and ready to play. He is still working on his leash manners and will benefit from adopters who are committed to continuing his training and helping him learn to greet other dogs more calmly. Gecko is a strong, active boy who will do best with a family that can keep up with his energy and provide the structure, exercise, and guidance he needs to thrive. In return, he’ll bring plenty of laughter, affection, and goofy personality into your life. If you’re looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy with a big personality, Gecko may be the perfect match for you! Gecko is UTD vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.
