FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Zelda – Your Snuggle Queen, Loyal Companion, & Total Ham! Zelda is a gorgeous 8-year-old, 75 lb Rottweiler/Lab mix with the softest coat, sweetest eyes, and an adorable smile that will melt your heart. This gentle, loving girl is the definition of a loyal best friend—she bonds deeply with her people and will happily follow you from couch cuddles to evening strolls. She melts right into her people, is a leaner, and is always wagging her tail! She’s an older gal looking to spend her golden years in comfort and love. Zelda adores soft dog beds, a good couch nap, and the occasional snack (she is very treat-motivated and already knows her basic commands). She’s fully house trained, has wonderful house manners, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and even enjoys bath time. Zelda can be dog selective and would prefer to be the only pet in the home—your one and only, queen of the castle. She’s not a fit for homes with cats or other small animals. An ideal match would be someone with big dog experience who can give her the easygoing, love-filled life she deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, goofy companion who will bring warmth and joy to every day, Zelda is ready to be your girl. Zelda is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Meet Charlie Boy! He is a Rottweiler/Labrador/Pittie mix. He is around 2 years old. Charlie Boy is a courtesy post for House of Hope at Shelton WA. He has been staying at House of Hope for several months now and is ready for his new home. Charlie Boy was surrendered, because his family no longer had time for him. He's a very sweet, affectionate, and playful dog. He loves just being wherever you are. He is a big lapdog. He has lived with 6 other dogs over the last several months and has done extremely well, considering he was never around dogs, before coming to House of Hope. He can get a little fear reactive in new situations but settles down quickly. I took my time introducing him to the pack here, about a week, and he did great. He really prefers girl dogs over boy dogs. If he is placed in a home with another dog, then the other dog should be a confident dog. He is not a dog park dog, and I would not take him into stores, because he would most likely become overwhelmed and fear reactive. He would be happiest in quiet, calm settings. He loves dog toys, fetching, and hanging out in his yard, giving lots of love, treats, going on walks in his neighborhood, car rides for a pup cup. As his foster mom, I have grown extremely fond of Charlie Boy, because of his sweet, loveable, and easy going personality. Charlie Boy is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, house trained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. If interested in adopting Charlie Boy, please submit an adoption application and we will forward it to House of Hope at Shelton WA. His adoption does require a home visit, adoption contract, and an adoption fee of $350.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Honey! 🍯💕 Honey is a 7-year-old, 63-lb Rottweiler/Lab mix with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. This sweet girl can be shy and a little skittish at first, but with patience and a calm environment, she begins to relax and show her friendly, affectionate side. Honey walks nicely on leash and likes to stay close to her person—sometimes a little too close! When she’s feeling nervous, she may walk right by your side or underfoot for reassurance. Because loud noises and busy environments can startle her, Honey would do best in a quiet suburban or rural home with less traffic and commotion. She’s looking for someone patient who can help her feel safe as she learns the world isn’t such a scary place. She has done well with other dogs in our care and would likely benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home to help her feel more secure and show her the ropes. She is gentle, food-motivated, and takes treats very softly, which will make training and confidence-building much easier. Honey’s ideal home: • A calm, quiet environment • Suburban or rural setting with low traffic and noise • A patient adopter who can help build her confidence • A friendly dog companion would be a big plus Honey has not yet been tested with cats or children. With time, patience, and love, this sweet girl has all the potential to blossom into a loyal and devoted companion Honey is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
HI - I'M MORGAN, and I'm a large (90-pound-plus) 7-1/2 (possibly 8-) year-old male Rottweiler in need of a foster or forever home. I've been waiting quite awhile for the right person or people to come along. I'm a very loyal Rottie and will be loving and protective to my person. I especially love women though would do fine with the right guy. I'm not fond of farm animals, and I'm also not a fan of some veterinarians. I do have some arthritis, so stairs do not work for me. I'm also bit flat-footed, though I get around fine. I currently take inexpensive glucosamine dog treats, which help greatly. Rottweiler or big-dog experience is essential! I would do best with a single person or a couple who wants a loyal companion and who has experience with the breed. I would also do best in a quiet home where my person or people are my world. I have done fine with some dogs, but will thrive as the only dog in the home. I'm currently in California but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome and healthy 10-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle and take me for walks and other outings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a few years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. I get along well with other dogs, particularly females. And I love human attention - I am warm and caring. I'd do well with a strong owner, too. Please email for an application. I'm currently still in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application and additional photos.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Raider! Raider is a 1.5-year-old, 50 lb Boxer/Staffy mix with a heart of gold and the sweetest soul! He came to us from an animal sanctuary after being dumped on the property, where he spent about a year living around other dogs, cats, children, and even livestock. Despite everything he’s been through, Raider has remained incredibly loving and gentle. He’s a sweet boy who forms deep bonds with his people and has a goofy, playful side that starts to come out once he feels safe and comfortable. Raider does great with other dogs and would love another dog in the home to help show him the ropes, keep him company, and be a built-in playmate. Having a confident canine companion would likely help him continue building confidence and settling into home life more comfortably. His biggest area of growth is confidence-building. Raider is still learning about the outside world and can be shy or unsure in new situations, so he’s looking for a calm, patient home that understands sensitive dogs and will give him the time and support he needs to continue opening up. He would do best in a quieter neighborhood and a predictable home environment where he can decompress, settle in, and slowly gain confidence at his own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle, sweet-natured dog with a goofy side, Raider might just be your perfect match! Raider is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED FOR ONE OF OUR LONG-TIMERS! Cody has been waiting for his forever family with us for 6 YEARS! He is such a sweet boy, and deserves to spend his golden years in a warm and loving home. Cody is a 8-9 year old, 60lb, Boxer/Shepherd mix. He is sweet and has lots of love to give, despite a rough beginning. He bonds deeply to his people and loves attention and affection. He is smart, enjoys treats and is glad to work for them! He will thrive in a home that can provide continued training and structure. He still has quite a bit of energy for an older pup and would love a home that will take him on walks to explore, and better yet, a home with his own fenced yard to run and play! He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 10 as he can be a bit jumpy when excited. Cody does well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. He can be a little over interested in small, barky dogs, but is great with medium to large dogs. Cody is UTD on shots, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $350.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Elk! Elk is a 1.5-year-old, 59 lb Doberman mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter and is currently thriving in foster care. This handsome boy has quickly won over everyone he’s met with his sweet nature, gentle personality, and love for people! Elk is the total package—affectionate, well-mannered, intelligent, and eager to please. He absolutely loves people and is happiest when he’s spending time with his family, whether that’s joining you on a walk, relaxing in the sunshine, or snuggling up for some well-earned cuddles. His foster family describes him as having a calm, docile nature and says he is truly one of the sweetest dogs around. He’s also a smart boy! Elk already knows several commands, including sit, down, stay, wait, and twirl. He’s very food-motivated and enjoys learning, making him a great candidate for continued training and enrichment activities. Elk is fully house-trained and has excellent manners in the home, doesn’t jump on people, and is generally a relaxed, easygoing companion. He enjoys spending time outdoors, loves going for walks, and is happiest when he can soak up the sunshine. He’s great on leash and only tends to pull when he spots a squirrel or bunny. Because he has a strong prey drive and has shown interest in chasing small animals, Elk is looking for a home without cats or other small pets. Elk has done well with other dogs and enjoys meeting canine friends. He would love another friendly dog in the home to socialize and spend time with, especially one around his size. However, he could also thrive as an only dog if his family continues to provide opportunities for socialization. Like many young dogs, Elk is still building confidence. He can occasionally be startled by things like bicycles, motorcycles, vacuums, balloons, or unfamiliar objects. With patient guidance and continued exposure, he continues to gain confidence and navigate the world more comfortably every day. Elk would love a standalone home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore, play, and relax. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is affectionate, intelligent, adventurous, and endlessly lovable, Elk may be the perfect addition to your family! Elk is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
