Rock is an all around awesome dog! He is friendly, goofy, playful, and a good time! He is a very strong boy, so will need adopters who are experienced with large breeds and can handle him. Rock has a great demeanor, and life-of-the-party personality. He loves people, making new friends, and dogs too! He has done great with dogs in our care and is playful. He can be a little vocal and excited when meeting dogs for the first time, but he just wants to say hello! Rock will thrive in a home that can continue basic obedience, and be social with him. He enjoys walks, meeting people, attention and treats! Since Rock is a big and bouncy boy, we are recommending older kids. He could knock over or accidentally hurt a small child due to his size. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle and take me for walks and other outings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a few years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. I get along well with other dogs, particularly females. And I love human attention - I am warm and caring. Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. The classic debate- left Twix versus right Twix... Either way, it'll be delicious!! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey. I was found when I was 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted for about a year but have, otherwise, spent my life in the rescue system. I'm now entering my golden years and have been overlooked for long enough! I have lived with many dogs in the past but, at my age, I prefer those that are lower energy and will live and let live. I would also be fine as the only dog. I am a generally lazy guy but I still have a stubborn streak and will assert myself if needed. I'm not a fan of smaller animals (cats, birds, etc.) unless we are talking about favorite snacks. In my foster home, I am an easy-going guy and the BIGGEST LOVER. I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my humans. They give the best back scratches, I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I am also amazing on leash so walks are a breeze. My favorite way to get around though, is a ride in the car. I love nothing more than cruising around the neighborhood with the wind in my ears. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! Reyna is beautiful, low-shedding, crate trained, potty trained, and walks on a leash like she personally watched every episode of The Dog Whisperer. She loves running, hiking, swimming, fetch, and basically any activity preferred by those mysterious people who voluntarily do cardio when absolutely no one is chasing them. She’s great with kids and medium- to large-sized dogs. However, in true Rottie fashion, Reyna firmly believes squirrels, cats, and other tiny fast-moving creatures are highly suspicious and should be investigated at full speed. Because of this, a home without cats is a must. The squirrels, however, have been warned and remain fair game. After a full day — or at least a good walk and a game of fetch — this gal is more than happy to crash on the couch with her people for cuddles and a full-on Love Island binge session. Like many Dobermans, Astro bonds deeply with his people and would much rather be by your side than left out of the fun.
