Leona was surrendered to us because her previous owner lost their home. She is 11 years old and considered a special needs dog, as she has Cushing’s Disease. Despite her medical needs, Leona is affectionate, loving, and absolutely adorable. She gets along well with other dogs and has a sweet, gentle nature. For the right adopter, we are happy to help with her ongoing medical expenses to ensure she has a happy, comfortable forever home. We do require visits here to our rescue in Agua Dulce, CA, and in-person home checks for all adoptions.

Her tiny little ewok-like-face and excited prancing are sure to melt your heart. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly and has liked everyone she has met (men, women, and children). She loves to get pet and to snuggle her people and will take pets for as long as you are willing to give them. She gets the zoomies every once in a while and likes to play the "attack the hand under the blanket" game, but, in general, she is easy-going and lower energy, preferring to snuggle and cuddle :). She also loves going on walks - on walks she presents as confident and happy and doesn't seem to mind other people or dogs. She also has gotten along well with our two other small dogs, although she is more of a people-dog than a dog-dog (if given the option, she will snuggle and play with people rather than other dogs). All in all, she is an ideal dog for someone looking for a snuggly, small, soft companion animal. We all love her! Meet Ozzy, an 18-pound shihtzu/poodle mix. Our vet estimates his age as three to four years old. Ozzy is the ultimate cuddle bug — his favorite place in the world is right on your lap, showering you with endless love and kisses. He walks wonderfully on a leash and even lifts his legs up to help you put his harness on (how adorable is that?). He loves following his foster mom anywhere she goes around the house and is always looking up at her with those gorgeous puppy dog eyes. He is very affectionate and just wants to find his forever home that will treat him like the little prince he is! Ozzy is an absolute sweetheart who adores people, he is amazing with cats, and gets along well with dogs. He prefers to have a little personal space from other dogs so he would do best in a home with calm dogs who respect his space. He will do a little mini growl if a dog is getting too rambunctious and in his personal space, but he has never shown any aggression towards another dog. He’s crate-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and is doing great with his potty training. With a little positive reinforcement (and plenty of treats), he’s eager to please and quick to learn.
