INTRODUCING FIORI…a petite, extremely sweet 10 lb, tri-colored, 4 yr old Shih Tzu who couldn’t be more adorable if she tried. In honor of this year’s Olympics, we thought it would only be fitting to give her an Italian name — which means “flower” and she is! She came from the Baldwin Park Shelter, who were experiencing an outbreak of distemper and needed to get her out — lucky us! She had a terrible case of kennel cough, which was scary, but she’s 100% healthy now. And I am not exaggerating when I tell you that she is a champ taking her medication — she chews it right up, no disguise required!
Without question, Fiori is one of the most affectionate dogs we’ve ever had. She gets uber excited when it’s meal time and is a great little eater! She loves other dogs and is playing with her foster brother, Bronco, nonstop! She loves to play and plays loud! Bronco teases her with toys and she demands getting them away from him. Fiori does not like being left alone and will whine if she doesn’t come with you, but does settle down. She will chase after toys especially if she is trying to beat out another dog to get it! It is amazing, but she seems to listen — comes when you tell her like she’s been here forever! She loves her walks and is getting the hang of going outside or on a pp pad. Be prepared to get lots and lots of kisses because she’s a pro at it! We don’t have any, but we believe she would be great with gentle, older kids 8+.
Fiori is so well adjusted she could probably go with any family — ideally they will have older kids, work from home and want a wonderful, pup. She loves to cuddle, snuggle and be your girl. Local adoption only. She will be available end of September.

Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Our event is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring pictures or video of your home and yard if we have not done a home check (preferred)! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
