Story
**We adopt our dogs to families within 50 miles of our facility in Malibu, CA. All applications are screened for compatibility with the dog of interest. We might ask for pictures of your home and yard. If you are interested in being considered as a potential adopter, please fill out our online application at: www.ssfdogs.org. Follow the tabs to 'dogs for adoption'. Kiko is a 15 pound, neutered male Shih Tzu, approximatley 4 years old. He is healthy, sweet and loyal. He can be active but also loves to cuddle on a lap and to play with his squeaky toys and explore in a fenced yard. He is housebroken and well behaved indoors. He loves going for walks but will need a little work on his leash manners. An apartment/condo environment would not be best for him. He will need monthly haircuts so potential adopters are encouraged to inquire locally for prices on grooming.

Story
I am Henry and I would love to meet you. I’m a nine-year-old terrier mix but no one believes I am a day over five. I have the energy and spirit of a pup. I love to play but I’m also happy just relaxing in my bed. I was rescued from the East Valley shelter where I was very frightened but I am thriving now that I am out. I can still be a shy guy with new people, but it doesn’t take too long for me to warm up and make friends (I promise I am worth the wait). I am being fostered with a senior spaniel and two cats and we all get along so well. I am house trained, too! I love walks and when my belly is rubbed. I am obsessed with my toys; I even bring them with me on all my outings and adventures. I'm so ready for my next adventure - Wanna meet me?? https://shyclubrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Valyn is a really special guy. Just Happy go Lucky kind of attitude. He was rescued from a very high kill shelter in Kern County. Valyn is such an ez boy to be with. He just is content no matter what he is doing. He greets you with a sweet wagging tail, would soak up a belly rub and be absolutely by your side. He is extremely well behaved. He is around 3 years old and weighs 18 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to shopbnb@gmail.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

Story
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET COLBY…and Mr. Colby has had a rough start in life. This 12.5 lb, 3 yr old, silver/gold/black Shih Tzu/Yorkie was given to a family as a newborn after an “accident” happened with a friend’s dog. After a couple of years, they didn’t want him anymore…no reason given. Then given to another friend, her husband didn’t like him so after 9 months (in which time they never neutered, groomed or bathed him once) they gave him to LHH to rehome. When he first arrived, Colby had almost no personality. We got him neutered, groomed and gave him lots of love and the light came back into his eyes. He seeks out love and attention now and cries when you leave him behind. He settles down, but we believe he would be happiest in a home where he is not left alone — would be great with another small dog who he can play with and help him feel secure. Colby is very gentle, so he would likely be great with kids over 5 yrs old. He is very smart, listens and stays when you tell him to stay. Walks well on a leash and loves to meet other dogs in the neighborhood. He will likely need a little help with his potty training, but he is doing fantastic here! The ideal home will have another small dog, maybe a couple of kids and a family who will love his to life! Does that sound like you? If you don’t have another dog, but you are home and/or will take him with you…what he needs most is love. Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed. Story
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET OBIE…formerly Tobey in his previous home. This precious little 8.5 lb (underweight), 4-5 yr old, tan/white with black tips, Shih Tzu is a sweetheart. He was surrendered because his original parents moved internationally and the niece they gave him to (who had never had a dog) is also leaving the U.S. So, that left Obie homeless 🙁 Obie could not be sweeter if he tried, but he was a little confused why he was here 🙁 This little man looks like a puppy, but his teeth were a mess so we got him a dental while he was being neutered. We believe he is between 4-5 yrs. Vet thought younger!! He was soooooo skinny when he arrived and could still gain a pound or two or three! He has good energy. great appetite, loves to give kisses, enjoys playing with toys and would love a companion to hang out with. Obie does have a slight case of separation anxiety, but he does eventually settle down. He really needs a wing person to be his best self. That ‘winger’ could be a dog or a cat, as he loves both….but he would honestly love one or the other, and you!! While we never guarantee any of our pups are potty trained, Obie is getting the idea and with a few walks a day should do you proud! He will use a pp pad if one is available. And….he is a great eater! Obie is great on walks and he loves meeting people, dogs and children while strolling! However, he can be a little fearful when encountering a stroller or stranger (same in the home). He settles down pretty quickly. He is very kind and would be great with gentle kids over 8 yrs old. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body…unless you are giving another dog more attention than him, and then he just wants everyone to play together! The ideal home will have another dog, a work from home family and a yard so he can be his best self. Does that sound like your home?? Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria.
