***Video of them can be seen on our Facebook page here.*** 🐾❤️Meet Blanche and George❤️🐾 BLANCHE (Shih mix) was found as a stray with her constant companion George (a little Poodle). Both are approximately one year old and now spayed/neutered. We see small breed dogs impounded as strays more and more often. People do not often understand that small breeds are dogs who have the same needs as their larger counterparts. They need walks.They need training. They need to be taught to use the bathroom outside. They need grooming by a professional 3-4 time a year. They need consistent vet care (even if they are inside most of the time). And they tend to need more frequent dental care than larger dogs. Both Blanche and George are under 10 pounds. They are affectionate little dogs, though they do not appear to have had any training. Neither is housetrained, though we are working on it. Neither seems to have been walked on a leash, but we've been working on that too! After observation, we see that George is dependant on his bestie Blanche. We don't know that they are actual siblings or not, but they were found together as strays in rough shape. They sure are sweet though. He is a very nice dog, we have him from 8 weeks of his age. My child has developed allergies and upon multiple doctor visits it was determined that he is allergic to dogs. We have tried different methods but did not have good results. We have no other option left except finding a new home for my dog.

He’s very agile enjoying several walks and exploring the yard every day. He’s in a foster home with two other dogs, one small and one medium size dog. They get along without a lot of interaction. He enjoys barking at the window with our girl. Kirby will do well in a quieter home with older accepting dogs and kids 10 and older. Bubbles and her sister Buttercup were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd last year so they are now a year old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs about 9 pounds and is full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Bubbles is a very friendly and a super snuggler! She and Buttercup are very bonded and we would very much like to get them a home together. They are so funny together! They play and run zoomies around the house. They would do well with older children and we have not had them around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction.
