Chipper is a 4 year old white standard poodle, weighing around 50 lbs. He is such a sweet, snuggly boy with his humans, and he plays great with his similarly sized doggie friends. However, he needs to be in a home with no small dogs. Medium to large dogs are fine.

🐾 Meet Honeybell! 🐾 Honeybell is a sweet, smart, gentle giant, who is looking for a loving family to spend her golden years with. ❤️ Honeybell is a 9-year-old Poodle mix, possibly a Great Pyrenees or Golden Retriever mix. She recently lost her beloved owner, who passed away a little over a month ago. She had spent her life with her sister, Harley, a Great Dane, who is now happily settling into a foster home of her own. Also has spent the last three years with two inside cats who she loved dearly too. Honeybell is an absolute love bug. She is gentle, affectionate, and just wants to be near her people. She is house trained. She loves car rides and short walks, and she is getting to enjoy more exercise and attention now than she has had in quite some time. During the last year, as her owner’s health declined, Honeybell gained quite a bit of weight. She currently weighs about 122 pounds, but her healthy goal weight is around 80 pounds. We are working on helping her lose that weight gradually and safely through proper nutrition and increased, gentle exercise. ❤️ Honeybell has so much love left to give. She deserves to spend the rest of her life feeling safe, secure, cherished, and surrounded by people who will love her as much as she will love them. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Meet Ava! Ava is a gorgeous poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 8 other dogs. Ava is about 5 years old and a sweet, playful girl. She's great with all other dogs and crate trained. Ava is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. We also want to mention that while these dogs are poodle/doodle mixes we have no idea how much poodle is actually in them and so we cannot say that they would be allergy friendly. Meet Oliver! Oliver is one of several poodle mixes we rescued in early April from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in rural Georgia. All of these guys were filthy, with horribly infected ears and really had no idea how to relax and just be a dog! After several weeks of TLC and mentoring from some of their new dog friends, they are learning just how amazing being part of a loving family can be. Oliver is about 6-7 years old and under 30 lbs. He's great with other dogs of all sizes and even cats. Oliver was definitely one of the more timid of the group, but it didn't take long for him to really warm up to his foster mom - trying to climb into her lap at any opportunity, when he's not running and playing with his other dog friends that is! He's even proven himself to be a rockstar when out and about meeting strangers - give him a few treats and you will have a best friend for life! Oliver is also great on leash, but might need just a bit of encouragement when exploring new places. He's looking for a forever home with poodle experienced adopters and another confident dog in the home, along with a fenced yard.
