Story
Meet Harmony! A 9 month old, 29 pound, Female, Doodle mix pup. Harmony, like any puppy, is a high-energy girl who is looking for her daily joys of running as fast as she can, playing with her toys and having anyone and everyone become her instant best friend. Harmony has lots of puppy behavior and would do best in a home that can give her strict and dilient training. If you’re searching for a dog who brings pure joy, laughter, and a whole lot of personality, Harmony might be the girl for you. This energetic, playful, endlessly enthusiastic girl is a one-dog pep rally, ready to cheer up during the mid-week work day. Harmony thrives on attention, and bonds quickly with anyone who gives her a chance. With a little structure and a lot of love, she’ll blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion she’s meant to be. Story
Rush is an 1 year old, 40 pound Parti Poodle.  He’s the definition of a happy pup — affectionate, playful, and absolutely loves everyone he meets. Whether it’s a human, a dog, or a toy, Rush believes every moment is worth celebrating. This charming boy currently weighs about 44 pounds and is both leash and crate trained. He’s doing great with his potty training and continues to impress his foster family with how quickly he learns. Rush’s story began in the shelter, where he arrived with fur so painfully matted it was cutting off blood flow to his limbs. But those days are behind him — with his fresh haircut and newfound freedom, he’s thriving and showing off his playful, goofy personality. Watching him zoom around, tail wagging and curls bouncing, is pure joy. Rush is ready to find his forever home — one filled with love, laughter, and endless cuddles. Story
Meet Sorella, a 4-year-old Standard Poodle with a personality as soft and easygoing as a Sunday morning. Nothing seems to ruffle this girl’s feathers. Loud noises, busy days, new adventures… Sorella takes it all in stride with a confidence that makes her a joy to have around. She’s wonderful in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and lights up when she realizes it’s time to head out for a walk. At that moment, her calm demeanor turns into a burst of happy excitement because exploring the world with her people is one of her favorite things. Sorella gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and absolutely adores children. She has the kind of sweet, gentle presence that makes her a wonderful companion for a family, a couple, or anyone looking for a loyal and loving best friend. And then there’s her signature look… Sorella seems to believe every day is tongue out Tuesday, often sporting the longest tongue like she’s competing for the championship of silly faces. It’s hard not to smile when you see it. Sorella is the perfect mix of calm, affectionate, and playful, and she’s ready to bring her joyful spirit and goofy little grin to a forever home. Story
Adrian recently had a dental cleaning and a mass removal on his shoulder. He is healing beautifully and ready to find his forever home. Adrian is 14 years old, weighs 40 lbs and is looking for a special home that understands the needs of a senior dog. Adrian is a sweet, affectionate little shadow who wants to be wherever his person is. He’s a true velcro dog, if you move, he’s right behind you. His favorite place is curled up next to you on the couch, and if he can’t be there, he will happily settle at your feet. He also loves donut-style beds and cozy enclosed spaces, and often chooses to nap in the hallway. Despite his age, Adrian still enjoys a short game of fetch if the ball is tossed right in front of him. He walks beautifully on a leash and stays right by your side. As a senior, Adrian does have some special needs. He has limited vision, especially at night, and can become disoriented. The veterinarian believes some of his pacing and nighttime howling may be related to pain, cognitive decline, or a combination of both. Because he doesn’t always know where he is and can’t see well, he may bump into furniture, walls, or other dogs. His current medications include: • Gabapentin 200 mg every 12 hours for pain (can be given up to 3 times daily if needed) • Denamarin once daily for liver support • Trazodone 100 mg at bedtime, given with Gabapentin if he is pacing or howling at night Adrian prefers soft foods, though he will occasionally crunch on treats. He isn’t very interested in toys or bones. Grooming is important for Adrian’s comfort. His coat must be kept short, especially during warm weather, as he overheats easily. Hair around his eyes should be trimmed so he can see, and his paws should be kept neat to help him maintain traction while wearing his Tiger Toes. He tolerates his ear cleaning, and regular grooming helps keep him comfortable. Adrian is looking for a calm, loving home where he can spend his golden years being someone’s constant companion. He may require a little extra care, but he gives plenty of love in return. Adrian needs someone that works from home or is home the majority of the day. He does fantastic with other dogs, but if there is another dog in the home they need to be gentle and low energy. If you are interested in adopting Adrian, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2735940##
