Good with kids,
Story
I found my cat, (Chimu) when he was small maybe he had about one month at that time. He is now probably around 1 year and 3-4 months. Chimu is a very affectionate cat he, loves to get chin and head rubs, but does not like when you touch his belly. Chimu has never scratched or attacked any member of my Family and he is well behaved with little kids. Although he doesn’t like to get his nails cut and he has had them long for a while, he never used his nails to attacked or even use his nails when he wants to play he only uses his paws. Unfortunately he never got vaccinated or even checked, but I could tell you that he is in good shape, he rarely vomited 2-3 times the whole year, and never shown signs of poor health. The reason I want to rehome my Chimu is because I am moving very soon, and sadly they don’t allow pets, and cannot take him with me. If anyone is interested please contact me. Im sure he will make your life brighter, as he did to mine.

Name: Betty Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 4 months old (as of 12/3) Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair- Tuxedo Weight: About 3 pounds (as of 12/3) Good With: People, and other cats and kittens! Story: Betty was rescued from a kill shelter in North Carolina with her brother, George. We are so happy to have her with us in a foster home. Betty is a happy and sweet young cat. She spends her days playing with her foster family and littermate and chasing all the fun toys they have. What my foster says: Curious George and Betty are both really affectionate, love to play around the house with each other, love taking naps with us as soon as we're home. As you can see from the pics, as soon as we sit anywhere, they usually congregate for cuddles and naps. George is a bit more adventurous although they both have that trait. If they're awake, they're playing together the majority of the time or looking for cuddles. The fee to adopt Betty is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers the cost of vaccines appropriate for her age, the collar she’s wearing, and her care in foster. Betty has been seen by a shelter vet (or other vet) and we are not aware of any health issues. Are you ready to give Betty the love and attention she deserves? If so, apply today! Story: Carrot is an adorable domestic short hair kitty, who was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina with his brother Cheeto. Carrot is a happy, sweet kitty. He spends his days playing with his foster family and chasing all the fun toys he has. When he’s done it’s nap time or cuddling with his humans! What my foster says: Carrot is a pretty laid-back kitten who loves all types of toys, but particularly loves string and yarn. He seems to be an agile hunter and likes to play-hunt with any item. He also likes to play hide and seek around the house and once he’s tired out, likes to sleep on the couch. Carrot eats all kinds of foods, uses his litter box well, and loves Churu treats.   Although Carrot is not a lap cat, he enjoys laying down next to you while watching tv and will often come sleep next to you in bed.  A true companion!  The fee to adopt Carrot is $200 ($325 for two kittens). LUNA Female, spayed  6 months DSH Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines, FIV/FeLV and heart worm negative Good with cats, good with dogs, untested with kids   Meet Luna! Although this little one was found in a junkyard, legend has it she's one of the sweetest kittens to roam the planet! She loves snuggling and giving love as much as she does playing and running around. During nighttime, you can find her nestled between her two foster parents in bed. Her favorite pastimes include: Playing with her sister, batting at trash, zooming around the apartment, napping, and purring when touched. She hasn't been the biggest fan of the playful resident dog but does coexist and may do perfectly fine with a calm and respectful dog. She has gotten along well with all other cats. Her eating manners are polite and she reserves her claws only for cat toys. She's a prim and properly little lady! Highlights: Curious Reserved Playful Snuggly Friendly Bonded She is best friends with her sister, Inkie who shares her loving energy and youthfulness. Although they are not bonded, would make an excellent pair!   Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Story
Kenzie (once short for MacKenzie) is a healthy neutered male cat estimated to be about 4 years old. Kenzie has lots of energy and typically needs 1-2 play sessions a day to get the zoomies out, but is very good at entertaining himself in between times with toys and windows. He is super talkative and very clear in his demands. He loves company, especially when eating, and does not like being left behind, although he is good at adapting to consistent routines. Kenzie is a big cuddler and enjoys snuggling up on or next to a blanket-covered lap. He is good at recognizing when you are busy--such as when you are wearing a headset or sitting with a laptop for teleconferences--and will quietly keep you company until you are free. When Kenzie's routine is upset or he is otherwise disturbed (such as strangers in the house or loud noises) he can get agitated and may swipe or bite. Kenzie doesn't always know his own strength and may play a bit aggressively trying to wrestle or pounce--but he is learning! Kenzie's ideal person will spend lots of time at home, have some familiarity with cat behaviors (such as cues when it's ok to pet the belly!), and have no other pets or children. Attempts to integrate Kenzie with other cats have not been successful. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Story
Meet Meow Meow, a 4-year old spayed beauty. Although she is little, she has a big, loving personality. Meow Meow loves to get and give affection from her family and strangers alike. She doesn’t mind being held or handled, but she prefers to be constantly on the move so she may not stay in your arms long. She will be your shadow, following you from place to place. When you are petting her, she will sometimes slide her open mouth across your hand as a gentle love bite to show affection back. She loves to play both with you and independently. She sometimes gets the zoomies and likes to tell you about it while she's having fun. She loves looking out an open window (screen on of course) and feeling the fall breeze. She makes a great office companion, sleeping in a cat tree right beside her foster mom while she works throughout the day. She loves scratching posts and would need a home with a lot of scratching posts or cat-friendly furniture. She is smart and easily redirected if she scratches the wrong thing but sometimes does forget in her excitement to see you. She has had a busy life before coming to MCSPCA, being a young mom, but now she is spayed and ready to relax with you as her lifelong companion. Meow Meow has lived with both children and other cats previously. To  adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Story
Chad like all kittens is a lively one. He and his brothers (Renji and Ichigo), born in July 2025, have learned how to completely unroll a toilet roll no matter which direction it is installed. He likes to chat some, and sometimes loudly, when he craves attention and to be held. He is the most wiggly of the 3 fosters. He has been well socialized so should get along well with humans and probably other cats. He also has spent time with the cocker spaniel in the house. He generally has no problem with the dog though will run somewhere else or ignore the dog when it gets a bit too active. He is the loudest and most active in the carrier when being transported somewhere (namely to the vet). To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

HONEY Female, Spayed 5 years, 10 months DSH Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative  Prefers to be an only cat, not tested with dogs Meet Honey, Your One-and-Only Sweetheart!  Looking for a loyal, affectionate, and absolutely adorable feline companion who only has eyes for you? Look no further, Honey is here to steal your heart (and your office chair). After deciding she’s not into sharing her humans with other cats, Honey joined LovePaws to find her perfect one-and-only home. She's dreaming of a peaceful kingdom where she can reign as queen—with you as her loyal subject (and cuddle buddy). What makes Honey special? She’s a professional belly dancer, her daily performances are purr-formance art. She adores compliments: tell her she’s beautiful and she’ll reward you with headbutts and purrs. She’s all about that work-life balance: she will gently tap your arm if you're giving your phone more attention than her. She’s sweet, gentle, and respectful: she keeps her claws to herself and shares love generously. Her ideal day includes sipping from her water fountain, waking her humans with soft paws and snuggles, zooming up the stairs for a pre-breakfast workout, and bird-watching from her favorite window perch. She loves string toys, lasers, and anything she can chase—and after playtime, she’s all about a cozy nap. Honey is spayed, vaccinated, combo tested negative, and ready to bring joy, laughter, and love into your life. She may take a little time to open up, but once she trusts you, you'll have a devoted best friend for life. Give Honey the solo spotlight she deserves—you won’t regret it! Ready to adopt?
