I'm part of a bonded pair! Check out Bear's profile: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/42718381-alexandria-virginia-cat These two have been together since 2015, when Fischer was two years old and Bear was just a kitten! Although Fischer had been the man of the house, he welcomed Bear easily and they have a very special bond! They are seeking a loving home where they can stay together. Hi there! I'm a friendly and affectionate senior cat looking for a loving forever home. I need a quiet home where I can soak up all the love and attention I deserve. I'd do best with someone who understands the special needs of a senior cat. Personality: I'm a laid-back companion who loves to find the coziest spots in the house to nap, snack on treats, and enjoy endless pets and cuddles. Despite my age, I have a playful side and am sprightly and energetic. I have a curious nature, and I like to talk, make biscuits on, and gives kisses to my humans! I love cuddling with Bear and enjoy meeting new people!

I'm a sweet and gentle senior cat looking for a quiet forever home. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I trust you I'll be your most loyal companion. I enjoy cozy spots/laps to curl up, pets/back scratches, and treats. Despite my age, I am playful and talkative. I thrive in a calm, low-traffic home without loud noises. Patience is key-I'll need time to adjust and feel comfortable. I have a lot of love to give and a soft purr that makes me a great cuddle buddy. I would do best with someone who understands the special needs of a senior cat and who will shower me with the love and attention I deserve

Story
Fiona is a beautiful and intelligent kitty that will need a cat experienced adopter to help her continue to flourish. Fiona is very shy and takes quite a while to warm up to new people but that doesn't mean she isn't a happy lady. She really seems to enjoy being with other cats in her foster home, often seen snuggling with someone in a soft blanket and being close during meal times. While Fiona will likely never be a lap cat, she deserves a happy life with a family that is patient and willing to let her have space to grow confidence. We would love to find her a forever home with someone willing to continue socializing her and working with our team on methods we have found helpful in helping kitties acclimate to new environments. To be considered as a prospective adopter please tell us how you think you can help Fiona so she can live out her life with lots of care and love in your adoption application. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Please understand you will be contacted only if your application is approved.

Lucky will surely make his family feel like they've hit the jackpot! This handsome house panther has a silky, shiny, black coat that he enjoys being brushed and petted. Lucky really loves belly rubs and will roll over to show you his tummy for a good scratch. He's a reserved boy that is mostly calm but we think he will enjoy an adopter teaching him how to play with toys and offering different fun things for him to explore. Lucky gets along very well with the other kitties in his foster home, especially his best friend Sparkle that he has know since he was a kitten before they came to Tails High. We know this boy has a lot of love to give and his forever home will be very LUCKY to have him! To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Meet Rain and Riley, the most delightful 14-16 week old sisters you'll ever encounter. Each of these little furballs brings their own unique spark to your home. These adorable litter mates are almost indistinguishable from each other. Both are: Adventurous: Always exploring and discovering new places to play. Athletic: These agile kittens are always on the move, leaping and climbing with grace. Curious: Every little thing fascinates them, and they will investigate with wide-eyed wonder. Enthusiastic: They approach life with a joyful spirit and boundless enthusiasm. Playful: Riley and Rain can turn anything into a toy and will keep you entertained with their antics. Riley prefers to keep her paws on the ground! While she may be a bit shy and takes time to warm up to new people, once she trusts you, she adores being petted and will melt your heart with her gentle purrs. Riley isn't a fan of being picked up, but she makes up for it with her sweet and calm nature. If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion who enjoys a quiet, cozy environment, Riley is the perfect match for you! They are ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and endless play. Story
Elvira is no Mistress of the Dark...but a super sweet, exotic 2 yr old kitty whose world has been turned upside down. During what was to have been a routine spay surgery on 8/17, she had a severe reaction to the anesthesia which caused her heart to stop. Fortunately, the vet was able to revive her but it caused her to become suddenly blind. 🐾 There is a chance that some sight will be regained but it will take weeks before we know if she is among the few lucky ones. In the meantime, she is slowly adjusting, moving around with more confidence, eating, using the litter box and greeting her foster mom when she enters the room. The thought of caring for a blind cat may initially seem overwhelming, but with a few environmental modifications, a little patience, and TLC, a blind cat can confidently navigate their environment relying on their others senses. They are ideally suited for smaller living spaces. Before all this happened Elvira was rescued from a city shelter where she was given up, along with another young cat, assumed to be her son, who already found a home, due to the owner not having enough time to care for them...geez. . Her foster mom writes:I've been able to hold her, she rolls around and lets me pet her, she purrs, and I'd say at some level she is funny. She'll grab me gently with her paws and no claws, and when she's still, she is so so sweet. Meet her in Alexandria, VA. Updated 8/23/24 Did you know that black cats are often overlooked for adoption, despite being just as loving and wonderful as cats of other colors? Elvira is here to break that stereotype and prove what an incredible companion she can be. Don't let her color be the reason she's passed over; give Elvira a chance, and you'll discover the treasure that she truly is.

Meet Baxter- the purrfect kitten! This affectionate, talkative and playful kitten is a 6 month-old bundle of joy. Baxter is a social butterfly who loves giving kisses, rubbing against your ankles, and climbing on everything—including you! He’s incredibly endearing and will quickly steal your heart with his happy, bubbly personality. When Baxter isn’t busy playing with his favorite toys or foster feline friends, he’s eager to show his love with gentle headbutts and soothing purrs. After a day of fun, this sweet boy loves to curl up in your lap for a cozy nap. He is also super easy when it comes to clipping nails. Baxter is looking for a home where he can be with another young, active feline friend who shares his zest for life. He is also dog-friendly. He’s already microchipped and ready to start his new adventure with a family who will cherish his loving nature. If you're looking for unlimited joy and a furry companion who has never met a stranger, Baxter is the perfect fit for you! Meet him in Alexandria, VA Updated 9/31/24

Story
Rori is a 4 yr old purebred marbled bengal. He is the sweetest cuddle bug, loves playtime (high jumps, climbing, and running), and watching the birds. We are regretfully looking to rehome him as our elderly disabled cat needs more attention and doesn’t like playful Rori (despite Rori thinking they’re best friends). We have had Rori since he was 7 months old and he is the sweetest boy who deserves a home where he can be the center of attention. He has not been around dogs or other cats besides his older (moody) brother, and he seems scared of children. Given his curious nature and where we live near busy roads, we keep him inside or only on the patio, but he loves sitting by the window watching everything around him. He has the biggest eyes, the SOFTEST fur, and most loving heart, and he loves being around his human as much as possible. We are looking for a home for him where he can get all the love and time he deserves. You won’t find a more cuddly or adventurous cat out there.
