History: Smores is a super handsome boy who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with his smile and happy personality. He has his paws crossed to find his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Hi, I'm Smores, I'm little at 7lbs. I came to live with my foster family in mid June. I have so many friends to play with 2 are even kitties. My favorite thing to do is to sit with my mom in her chair or on the sofa. I'm learning to go outside to do my business. I learned how to go up the stairs, but going down still scares me! I went to the Dr. the other day, I'm blind in my left eye, but I don't let that stop me! I get to go back to the doctor on September 3rd to get neutered and my teeth cleaned. I'm such a happy little guy that my foster mom calls me Prancer cause I don't walk I prance!

History: Alpaca arrived to rescue with long yorkie hair but as soon as we picked him up and felt him, we could feel the devastating matting across his whole body. It broke our hearts to see and feel how badly his hair was matted- it must have been so uncomfortable but yet Alpaca is so kind. He is feeling better each day and would make a wonderful companion for a lucky home of his very own soon! A Note from the Foster: 🐾 Meet Alpaca 💖 an 18-month-old sweet and affectionate guy. They say I’m a Yorkie, but my foster mom thinks I could be a schnorkie—part Yorkie and part Schnauzer. Maybe it’s my new haircut? I’m not sure, but I am 16 lbs of total cuteness. I am still learning to trust. When I first got to my foster home, I was shut down and afraid of loud noises and sudden movements; however, I still get frightened, and my first instinct is to run away and find a way out. But my foster parents stay close by and help me feel safe. I sleep in my crate at night and haven’t had an accident in there yet. I patiently wait in my crate for my foster parents to take me outside for my morning potty break. Afterward, it’s playtime! I live with a 70-pound Pitbull, but we don’t play; instead, we respect each other’s space. I’m doing ok on a slip lead waking around the yard. I’m going to need more practice learning how to go for a walk. I don’t have a big appetite; I take my time and eat throughout the day, with more of an appetite in the evening. My foster parents simply keep food in my bowl. I only like dry kibble and some tasty treats. I love getting pets, and sometimes I like to cuddle with my foster mom. And sometimes I like to chill on my own. I’m still unsure of my foster Dad and new people, but I’m sure I’ll overcome that in time. I’m certain that once I gain a clearer understanding of the world, I’ll become your best friend, and cuddles will be our cherished pastime.

History: Diamond is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She quickly wriggled her way into our hearts with how sweet and loving she is and she would make a great addition to a lucky home of her own soon! A Note from the Foster: Hi there! My name is Diamond, but my foster mom likes to call me her princess. I spent the first seven years of my life at a bad breeding situation down south. I am not sure how I got so lucky to get out of there, but I sure am thankful to have found myself in Minnesota! Each day I get a bit more confident with exploring my surroundings and learning new things. My new hobbies include going on walks, sitting outside in this really plush stuff I think is called grass, following my new dog siblings around, and chewing on stuffed animals and bones. All of this is so new and exciting for me! I’m not a big fan of my kennel, but I go in there when my mom leaves for work. We’re still working on potty training, but I know I’ll get there. I’m an easy-going dog who just wants to be loved, Maybe I’ll be a good fit in your family?

History: Goldy is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Goldy is a quiet, sweet-natured girl who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She came to us in rough shape, and while she’s made progress, she’s still adjusting and will need a calm, patient family to help her continue to build confidence. Goldy does well with other small dogs and is also cat-friendly. She’s not a fan of fast movements and can be skittish, so a home without children is best. She’s learning to walk on a leash, though she sometimes prefers to choose her own direction. She’s not currently crate-trained and prefers to sleep on the couch. She’s working on house training and does go outside, but still has accidents indoors. Goldy thrives when she can be near her person and is happiest just quietly shadowing you around the house. She’s not high-energy and doesn’t need a lot of activity—just time, understanding, and a safe space to continue healing. If you’re someone who can offer consistency, patience, and a quiet environment, Goldy could be the perfect companion for you.

Story

History: Marge is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon! A Note from the Foster: Marge is about 12 lbs and very quick on her little feet. She came from a commercial breeder in the south and is one of the most skittish dogs I’ve had so far when it comes to humans. She has been making progress since coming to our house but it takes patience and we go at her pace. Over the last month, Marge has slowly let me get closer to her and give her treats but I still have to toss them on the ground because she isn’t comfortable taking them out of my hand yet. She does sit still and let me pet her every now and then but for the most part she keeps about a 6 foot distance from me in the house and in the yard. She likes to pop her head in while I eat dinner on the couch to see if I’ll share some snacks with her. I try to reward her with food any time she’s in my space. Marge is still working on her confidence with people but she thrives with another dog in the house. She LOVES her foster sister, Mini, a 12 lb female Yorkie. They go everywhere together and love to chase bunnies and hunt chipmunks in the backyard. They take naps curled up together and like to wrestle and play chase every once in a while too. Marge will need a patient family who can go at her pace and I think she would really benefit from another dog who wants her companionship. Her personality comes out little by little and she loves snacks so I’m hopeful that she will continue making progress!
