I’m curious about the cats in the house but am respectful if they don’t want to play. I’ve gotten along with other dogs in my previous foster home. While I’m mostly potty trained, my signals can be subtle and result in the occasional accident if missed. I love being close to my people, either sitting on their lap, giving endless kisses, or taking a nap while splayed across them. I’m a curious dog and like to sniff around and explore with humans, dogs or cats. Sometimes I can get scared and bark at others walking by but I go back to exploring before you know it. I think I would do well in a household where I can run around outside for a little bit then go sleep with either the other pets or on someone’s lap. I might need a little more attention than some but I promise I’ll make it up with all the love and attention you deserve. Chocolate is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. I went to the Dr. the other day, I'm blind in my left eye, but I don't let that stop me! I get to go back to the doctor on September 3rd to get neutered and my teeth cleaned. A Note from the Foster: Goldy is a quiet, sweet-natured girl who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She came to us in rough shape, and while she’s made progress, she’s still adjusting and will need a calm, patient family to help her continue to build confidence. Goldy does well with other small dogs and is also cat-friendly. She’s not a fan of fast movements and can be skittish, so a home without children is best. She’s learning to walk on a leash, though she sometimes prefers to choose her own direction. She’s not currently crate-trained and prefers to sleep on the couch. She’s working on house training and does go outside, but still has accidents indoors. Goldy thrives when she can be near her person and is happiest just quietly shadowing you around the house. She’s not high-energy and doesn’t need a lot of activity—just time, understanding, and a safe space to continue healing. If you’re someone who can offer consistency, patience, and a quiet environment, Goldy could be the perfect companion for you.

In a just a few days since welcoming Warner to our home. . . He sleeps through the night in his kennel by our bed. He plays and wrestles with his puppy friend, Tarek. He loves to run in the snow outside. He enjoys playing in his ex-pen and uses the potty mat/tray. He is also being pellet trained so we don’t have to go outside when it’s really cold. We do go outside frequently during the day to keep getting Warner used to going potty outside and he is doing great! He listens to puppy music and naps when I am gone running errands. History: Marge is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon! A Note from the Foster: Marge is about 12 lbs and very quick on her little feet. She came from a commercial breeder in the south and is one of the most skittish dogs I’ve had so far when it comes to humans. She has been making progress since coming to our house but it takes patience and we go at her pace. Over the last month, Marge has slowly let me get closer to her and give her treats but I still have to toss them on the ground because she isn’t comfortable taking them out of my hand yet. She does sit still and let me pet her every now and then but for the most part she keeps about a 6 foot distance from me in the house and in the yard. She likes to pop her head in while I eat dinner on the couch to see if I’ll share some snacks with her. I try to reward her with food any time she’s in my space. Marge is still working on her confidence with people but she thrives with another dog in the house. She LOVES her foster sister, Mini, a 12 lb female Yorkie. They go everywhere together and love to chase bunnies and hunt chipmunks in the backyard. They take naps curled up together and like to wrestle and play chase every once in a while too. Marge will need a patient family who can go at her pace and I think she would really benefit from another dog who wants her companionship. Her personality comes out little by little and she loves snacks so I’m hopeful that she will continue making progress!
