Story
Meet handsome and happy Romondo! Romondo is a 3-year-old big beautiful boy. His DNA panel revealed he is an Alaskan Malamute/Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix, along with a small amount of Siberian Husky and Australia Shepherd. What a fantastic mix! Romondo weighs about 110 pounds. Romondo loves his people, is affectionate, and loves lots of attention. Romondo is built for the outdoors and loves to be outside. He enjoys hikes and is not bothered by Washington weather. Romondo would love to live on fully fenced property where he could sniff and explore and run and hang out happily with his family. Romondo also loves to just sit quietly and watch over everything. He is not an escape artist—he doesn't climb, jump over, or dig under fencing. As much as he loves the outdoors, he loves his people too. Romondo will happily hang inside too and cuddle with you anytime. Romondo enjoys leash walks around the neighborhood. He is strong and a bit of a puller, but his foster parents have been working with him and he's doing very well. His leash walking is improving so much. Romondo can get excited when walking past people and dogs, but it's just his excitement and desire to meet. If his new home had another dog, it would be best for him to live with a female dog or be an only dog. Romondo is such a terrific dog and deserves every bit of love that we can give him. Prior to rescue by Lucky Paws, Romondo was stressed and frightened in the shelter. But in foster care he has blossomed and relaxed. Romondo is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Please help us find his forever family! For more information and an adoption application- please contact Terry at contact@luckypawsrescuewa.org.

Story
I have an interesting dog that I need to be rehome. Relocating this week. Woodrow is a 4 year old, 130# Malamute/Newfoundland, neutered and gastropexy. Shots are due in July. He is the sweetest guy and puts his head into your hands, he leans on you for love. He is currently guarding large breed goats. He will walk on leash / responds well to correction collar, knows tricks. Great around people , strangers, children over 5 because he is so big. He will let me cut his nails on my own. He will play with toys and do a little fetch. He’s particular about new dogs due to guarding the goats from the neighbors dogs. But I have integrated another with him before and it went well. Story
Hi, I’m Rian 💛I’m a 5-year-old boy, a Malamute–Husky mix, and I weigh about 23kg.I know… I look big and strong, maybe even a little cool. But if you get to know me, you’ll see—I’m actually just a big softie.I really, really love people.Even if we’ve just met, I might come right up to you like,“Hi… can we be friends?”I love being close to my person.Spending time together, making eye contact, sharing quiet moments…that’s what makes me feel safe and happy.Once I open my heart, I become very affectionate.I’ll want to stay near you, lean into you, and just be by your side as much as I can.I get along well with other dogs too!I have a gentle nature and enjoy playing, whether it’s with toys or with friends.I’m a bright, cheerful boy who just enjoys life and companionship.I was rescued from a place where my time was almost over…but I didn’t lose my trust in people.I still believe in love, and I’m still reaching out for it.I’m also a pretty quick learner! If you teach me with patience and consistency, I’ll do my best to understand and follow along.Because of my Malamute and Husky side, I do have lots of energy.I’ll need regular walks, exercise, and time to really let that energy out.A quick walk won’t always be enough—I’d love a family who enjoys being active with me.I can also have a little independent streak (maybe just a tiny bit stubborn sometimes… 😊),so I’ll need someone who can guide me with calm, steady leadership.Living in a home might be new for me,so I’ll need to learn things like house routines and potty habits from the beginning. But if you’re patient with me, I know I can become an amazing companion.I’m already ready to love someone with my whole heart. All I need now…is someone who will accept me, guide me,and stay with me for life. Will you be my person? 💛

Story
Chewie | 2-year-old Alaskan Malamute Mix | 65 lbs. Chewie is a resilient, highly trained male with a gentle and independent soul. He is excellent with older children and dogs of all sizes, showing remarkable tenderness toward his small-breed "baby brother". Chewie is exceptionally smart. He rings a bell to go out and has mastered: Sit, Down, Stay, Wait, Come, Back, Leave It, Touch, Chin, Middle, Selfie, High Five, Hug, Kick, Spin, and Bang. He is fully house-trained and waits for a release signal at mealtimes. He gets excited seeing other dogs on walks and needs a dedicated owner to continue his leash training. After fully recovering from a kidney crisis (toxic mushroom ingestion), Chewie has been cleared by his vet with perfect labs and is back to 100%. He is UTD on shots. Chewie is a natural explorer and loves foraging . So he requires a home with a securely fenced yard and supervised outdoor time to keep his curious nose out of troubles. Chewie comes with everything he needs

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is TILLY, a cute female Alaskan Malamute who is eagerly looking for her furever home. She may be a mixed breed, but has the malamute mask, brown eyes and big paws. Tilly is the leader of their little pack. Loves to run, climb play, but can be short tempered. Easy to train and funny. Loves to give snuggles and kisses but quickly runs off to play.  Always ready to jump and play chase. She likes to be close to you when you sit.  Tilly is shy when meeting new people and will take a little time to warm up to you. She is leash trained but only if you go where she wants to go. Knows to sit and wait for treats versus grabbing for them.  Tilly is learning to ride in a car but has not gotten used to the movement yet and can become car sick, the foster is continuing to take her on short drives to get used to the car more. She is c rate trained and on her way to being potty trained. She has very few accidents anymore and will try to let you know when she needs to go out Tilly and her litter mates were recently found in Eastern Washington.  They were rescued and brought into foster homes where they are beginning their puppy training.  Unfortuantely, someone docked their tails but otherwise they are healthy, happy and full of energy. She will have all her vaccinations, is already altered and ready for a new home soon. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Odyssey — The Big, Goofy Malamute With an Even Bigger Heart If you love a dog with personality, presence, and a whole lot of charm, Odyssey is ready to win you over. This big, smiley Malamute is the definition of a gentle giant—affectionate, goofy, and absolutely devoted to the people he loves. Odyssey is known for his escape‑artist theatrics and his playful “catch me if you can” routine, but his oversized ears always give him away. He may try to act sneaky, but he’s far too endearing to pull it off. Because he’s clever and curious, he’ll need a secure 6‑foot fenced yard to keep his adventures safe and contained. What Odyssey loves most is attention. Leaning into you for affection, rolling over for belly rubs, and staring at you with the most loving (and sometimes hilariously awkward) gaze—these are his specialties. Despite his size, he’s a total sweetheart who just wants to be close to his people. Watch him run and you’ll see those big ears bounce in every direction, perfectly matching his joyful, slightly clumsy energy. Whether he’s joining you for a long walk or romping around the yard, Odyssey brings fun and enthusiasm to everything he does. Odyssey is the perfect match for a family who: Has a secure 6‑foot fenced yard Enjoys an energetic, playful companion Appreciates a dog who is both goofy and deeply affectionate Wants a larger‑than‑life personality who will always keep them smiling Life with Odyssey means laughter, love, and a whole lot of Malamute charm. If you’re looking for a big sweetie who will fill your days with joy, Odyssey is ready to be your new best friend.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 20, 2026, 8:54 pm
