Story
Gus is such a gorgeous boy. People on the street even stop to comment on how beautiful he is, and he is very polite when he meets new people. He likes to lean in for a head rub. Gus is a 65lb, 2-3yr old boy that is looking for someone to cuddle with. He is easy going, great on a leash and loves to go for long walks. Even though he’s an overall mellow guy, he is playful and always up for a hiking adventure. Gus is also a smart boy that loves to play training games and he learns whatever it is you’re trying to teach him very quickly. He is fully kennel and house trained, and he already has some basic inside manners. Gus does like to play with other neutral tempered female dogs but he can be a bit dominant with male dogs so just girl playmates please. And no kitties for this boy. He’s a little anxious around small children so kids must be over 14yrs old. He must have a 6ft securely fenced yard.

Story
Hi! My name is Duke and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good Samaritan on 01/30/24I weigh 76.0 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit` and `come`I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing! I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I walk pretty well on leash, and respond appropriately to gentle corrections. My personality color is RED. I am an adaptable dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!I`m a Playgroup Pal! Ask the staff today about my interactions with other dogs at the shelter in our Playgroups. My caregivers have observed that I might not get along with other dogs unless properly matched with the right dog. I may do best as the only dog in my new home, or I will need a very slow introduction to other dogs with lots of positive experiences.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. KANGA  thrives on adventure and would love an active adopter who will take him on adventures and give him plenty of play time! Kanga is a loyal guy and will be a great companion for someone. He LOVES the snow in the winter and to swim in the summer.  His number one favorite activity (even more than walks and treats) is going for car rides! He likes feeling the wind in his face through an open window (car surfing). Kanga is incredibly observant and curious. Kanga’s comfort with people has grown significantly while in rescue. He does need a little time to build trust, but eventually he will follow you around and give you kisses! He is also quite affectionate and loyal to those he bonds with. Kanga has excellent house manners and is happy to chill on his bed or lay beside you as you work. He has basic training and knows: sit, down, come, get it, stay, and release and is ready for the next level of training. He is very treat motivated and responds well to a clicker. Kanga just needs to know you can be counted on to pay attention to his physical cues when he’s feeling overwhelmed. Kanga would do best in a home setting with a secure yard and would prefer to be your only pet. He might do well with savvy teens as long as they are aware of Kanga’s “dog language” and can give him space when he needs it.  Are you the active, patient, forever home that Kanga is seeking? Kanga is currently enjoying the amenities of our Malley Valley doggie resort.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 12, 2024, 4:27 pm
