Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. KANGA  thrives on adventure and would love an active adopter who will take him on adventures and give him plenty of play time! Kanga is a loyal guy and will be a great companion for someone. He LOVES the snow in the winter and to swim in the summer.  His number one favorite activity (even more than walks and treats) is going for car rides! He likes feeling the wind in his face through an open window (car surfing). Kanga is incredibly observant and curious. Kanga’s comfort with people has grown significantly while in rescue. He does need a little time to build trust, but eventually he will follow you around and give you kisses! He is also quite affectionate and loyal to those he bonds with. Kanga has excellent house manners and is happy to chill on his bed or lay beside you as you work. He has basic training and knows: sit, down, come, get it, stay, and release and is ready for the next level of training. He is very treat motivated and responds well to a clicker. Kanga just needs to know you can be counted on to pay attention to his physical cues when he’s feeling overwhelmed. Kanga would do best in a home setting with a secure yard and would prefer to be your only pet. He might do well with savvy teens as long as they are aware of Kanga’s “dog language” and can give him space when he needs it.  Are you the active, patient, forever home that Kanga is seeking? Kanga is currently enjoying the amenities of our Malley Valley doggie resort.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2024, 9:27 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. PHOENIX is a large boy who loves adventures, playing fetch and getting all the scratches you are willing to give.  He enjoys playing with stuffed toys that squeak, if it makes noise he will love it! Treats you say? Oh he will do so many tricks for you for snacks. He can sit, down, shake, other paw and more!  With a striking appearance and a heart full of love, he is on a journey to find his forever home. This sweet-natured canine requires an owner who can provide consistent guidance and training. PHOENIX thrives on mental and physical stimulation and requires an engaged owner who can provide him with ample opportunities for play and exercise. Despite his occasional mischievousness and counter-surfing tendencies, PHOENIX's loyalty and desire for affection shine through, making him a wonderful companion for the right family willing to give him the love and structure he deserves. He is still learning to trust other dogs, so he would do best in a home as the King. He loves all the attention, and will fill your home with fun, silliness and snuggles! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. The lovely NANUKA is described as VERY friendly with people and loves getting attention and pets—she has no aggressive tendencies towards humans but can be quite vocal when wanting attention!  This social butterfly would love to join you on your daily walks, greeting friends and neighbors you meet along the way. Nanuka is described as very calm and low-energy without much interest in toys, but this lovely girl has a unique bedtime ritual--she runs playfully back and forth, evading capture but stopping quickly for a little lean-in.  After repeating several times, she takes a flying leap onto the bed, lies down, and rolls over on her back for tummy rubs. She walks well on leash and knows commands including 'sit', 'down', 'go to bed', and 'shake'.  Nanuka would do really well in a home as a single dog--she would prefer to not share her home with another pup - she wants to be the queen!  She is house trained, and crate trained so ready to move right on into your home. If you are looking for an adult malamute to add to your family pack, Nanuka is a really wonderful dog and just about as perfect as they come! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. Little Miss SHELBY is a sweetheart with a big smile and a nonstop tail wag!  Based on her size, we expect she is a malamute and husky mix, bringing the best of both breeds.  She knows basic commands, "sit", "down" and "wait" but could use further training.  She is food motivated which will help when teaching her new commands and tricks.  SHELBY is good on the leash and will enjoy joining you on all of your outdoor adventures.  She is a  loving, playful, active girl who generally does well with other dogs once they have established who is boss in the house (hint: it's her!). SHELBY has food allergies that will require a special diet and lifetime of medication.  Therefore, she needs a family that can afford her medications, special food and has the time to administrator them. SHELBY would love for you to open up your home to her and she promises to not steal the couch...well, at least not the whole couch! SHELBY is currently being fostered by a loving family in Eastern Washington.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2024, 9:27 pm
