Story
IZZY - PURE AMERICAN BULLDOG FEMALE, ~ 3 YRS. OLD Temporary Foster Home Needed - 4 weeks (Month of May '24) METRO ATLANTA AREA Beautiful short video on a hearing-impaired dog adopted after 3 years (below) https://www.facebook.com/share/r/r8jPAmD4r1fk7f2n/?mibextid=UalRPS Bonds Easily to her human; easy to keep; low exercise; entertains herself. See how adorable/funny Izzy is w-this 25-second video (copy/paste in browser)! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/1lxJHPXrfPQ You will fall in LOVE WITH THIS GIRL : Obedient, Well Trained, Walks well on a Leah, Loves the Car, Playful - a Real Comedy Routine, too! Izzy is a stunning short, squat, pure bred American Bulldog; now 4 years old and weighs 46lbs. As a tiny sick pup, she was first dumped at a high kill shelter in Bullock County, GA, and was adopted by a person that discovered she was deaf, as many white bull dogs are, when home, and because she was a messy and sick pup, dumped her again! Our rescue took her in, fully vetted her (she is perfectly healthy, heartworm negative, spayed and all vaccinations); Her deafness is NO issue; she is like any other dog; understands easy hand signals and facial expressions: SIT; STAY, COME, LEAVE IT, ETC. SO Easy to Keep! Initially our rescue adopted her to a family with one other dog (a male) and was a vet! Izzy was doing great! BUT two years later, the living situation changed - more dogs, a baby, elderly parents, chaos! Uug, TOO much for Izzy, too stressed, she didn’t like the female dogs, but loved the male dog, and all the people! BEST HOME: Low Energy Stable Home with people who love to give her all the attention; snuggle with her, fenced yard; large male dog would be great or ok if ONLY dog; no cats. Izzy is now living with foster (loves her) who cannot keep her any longer and cannot adopt. Note: Life with Izzy is no different than with a hearing dog. Just like her "hearing dog" peers, she plays, follows your hand signals, which we use with hearing dogs (hand signals) - so no different! She's SO WELL BEHAVED! Izzy will bring so much joy to you as she's that awesome and special!
