Meet Bruce, a dog who is the epitome of goofiness and friendliness. His playful antics are sure to brighten up any dull day. He has a knack for making people laugh with his silly shenanigans. Despite his goofy nature, Bruce also values his independence. He's content with his own company, but also enjoys the companionship of humans. Bruce's friendly and independent nature makes him a great companion for those who appreciate a balance of interactive play and quiet companionship. Bruce should be adopted because his boundless energy, love, and loyalty would make him a wonderful addition to any family looking for a faithful friend. An ideal home:Recommend meeting children

Story
Percy is a really sweet dog but unfortunately I don’t have the time I thought I did for him so I want to find him a new home. I don’t want to send him to a shelter because they may euthanize him. I’m not charging an application fee for him, I just want him to have a loving and safe home. He will come with a leash with body harness and grooming products since he loves taking baths. He does have a cherry eye that’s really small and the vet recommended that we leave it because it may come back. It doesn’t bother him and you don’t have to do anything extra. All Percy needs is time and attention. He’s not aggressive and acts like a big baby.

Story
Hi there, I'm Max. My age has given me wisdom and a love for the simple things in life. I'm a sweet, friendly soul, always curious about the world around me. I can be a bit goofy at times, but that's part of my charm. I'm smart too, always eager to learn new things. Cuddles? Oh, I'm a big fan! I'm just a sweet and happy medium energy guy!I've never met a cat before, so the people here aren't sure how I would do with them, and I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I've never been around kids either, but I'm such a friendly guy, so I would probably be ok with dog savvy children. Walking me might be a workout, I do love to pull on the leash. Apartments aren't really my style, I could run into another dog in those narrow hallways and I'd really rather not do that. I need space to roam and sniff. I am a Special Paws pet in the Signature Pets Program because I have allergies that will likely require some extra care to keep under control and managed. Since I am a Special Paws pet, my adoption fee is up to you!Adopt me, and I promise to fill your life with laughter, love, and endless curiosity.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Nash is a big love bug! He loves to get petted and cuddle. He is still very much a pup so he is a bit mouthy but is working on his manners. His knows some basic commands like sit, wait, stay and high five. He is house broken and crate trained. He is very quite in his crate and really in general. Nash is not a big barker. He loves to run around the yard, play with his toys and chew bones. He doesn't chew things that don't belong to him. He is very eager to please and is a really happy boy.  We believe Nash would do best in a home with no small children because he is a strong mouthy pup that still needs to learn some manners. He will also need to be in a home without cats.Nash comes with a free training package and is also a candidate for our foster to adopt program. If you are interested in meeting, fostering or adopting please fill out an online application. Questions to cbrookszy@yahoo.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. July 26, 2024, 2:17 am

Story
Lulu was rescued when witnesses couldn't stand the abuse they saw her endure. She and another dog in the home were beaten with belts. You may wonder if that might leave a dog too emotionally damaged to adjust to another home, but Lulu is a sweetheart regardless of her previous experience with humans. If Lulu is willing to give other humans a chance, we know the right people are out there for her! Lu is medium sized (a bit larger than a Beagle) and does prefer quiet people, but she is also playful and likes walks. If you want to know more about Lulu, email us here: wacvolunteers@gmail.com! * AGE: Estimated at about 4 years old * TEMPERAMENT: Loves to play and give hugs, but best in quiet environments * Why are they at the shelter? Rescued from an abusive home. * Any Health issues? * How are they with other cats? Dogs? Good with other behaved dogs * Volunteer Comments? " Lulu is a little doll!"
