Story
Meet Bojangles! This loving bully mix is just five months old and already the happy go lucky kind of dog that people dream of having. While adventuring and floating on the river are his favorite activities so far, this fella is also down for playing with other dogs. Despite his adventurous nature, Bojangles will also settle well in a crate and is totally up for snuggling with his person. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. Story
Good With Kids: No experience with kids yet Good With Other Dogs: Yes with slow intros Good With Cats: No Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes but not fond of it Walks Nicely On A Leash: Workin’ on it Knows Basic Commands: Workin’ on it Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: * Physical Fence: N/A Favorite Toy / Activity: Fetch. Has a favorite ball. Arrival story: It’s a long, sad story of bouncing around from place to place. We know there is a Georgie devotee out there, though! Approximate age / Weight: About 3 yrs old / 50 lbs. Personality: Meet Georgie, the 50-pound sweetheart with a perfectly placed brown eye patch and a heart that’s somehow stayed soft through every twist life has thrown at him. This gentle bully breed mix has been bounced around far more than any dog should be, but he’s still hopeful, still willing to trust, and still ready to love the person who finally loves him back. Georgie is a belly rub connoisseur and a champion fetch enthusiast—whether you toss his favorite ball, a beloved stuffy, or anything that squeaks (oh yes, he LOVES a good squeaker), he’s ready to play. When playtime winds down, you’ll find him happily nesting himself into a cozy pile of blankets like the comfort-loving little burrito he is. Around the house, Georgie has lovely manners and a wonderfully charming “woo-woo” alert bark that lets you know he takes his role as watch dog seriously—without being overly chatty about it. He’s easygoing about having his ears or paws handled, and he’s learning helpful cues like touch, find it, and come. He’s a bright boy who genuinely wants to get it right. *After everything he’s been through—rescue, shelter life, being a stray, and too many false starts—Georgie is understandably cautious. He’s finding his footing again and will need a patient family who gives him time, space, and consistency to fully settle in. Car rides aren’t his favorite yet, and he’ll benefit from some medical or behavioral support for that piece, but he tries so hard in every other way. New Home: What Georgie wants most is simple: a home where he’s safe, understood, and finally stays. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a tender spirit, a goofy side, and a heart looking for its forever match, Georgie just might be your guy. CONTACT: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Kimchi came to us when his owner went to prison. He was a very confused boy at first, but is now excited and fun! Kimchi loves toys! Stuffies, things with squeekers, chew bones, he loves them all! Kimchi would love an intimate household, with one or two people he could shower with love. He does well in his kennel, and loves yard time. Kimchi is pretty potty trained. Kimchi is available as a foster-to-adopt placement, and his adoption fee is also sponsored! Apply through our website: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

Story
Meet Oliver Oliver’s story is one of both heartbreak and hope. He came to us as a tiny puppy, chained up in a backyard, waiting for someone to see his worth. And when that day finally came, he was adopted into a family who loved him deeply. For a year, Oliver had what every dog dreams of — a home, a person to call his own, a place where he was safe. But sometimes, love alone isn’t enough. Oliver struggled to get along with the male dog in the home, and through no fault of his own, he was returned. Now at two and a half years old, this big, handsome American Bulldog mix is back with us, still carrying the same open heart he’s always had, still ready to give his love to someone who will be his forever. Oliver is a total cuddlebug. He wants nothing more than to be near his people, whether that means curling up at your feet, following you from room to room, or leaning into you for comfort and connection. He is silly, sweet, and so full of love — the kind of dog who just wants to be your shadow and your best friend. What Oliver needs is simple: a person or family who believes in him, who will give him the structure and affection he craves. He would thrive as the only dog in the home, but could also do well with a gentle, non-dominant female dog. Above all, he needs someone who will see him for what he is — a loyal, loving soul who’s just waiting for the chance to bloom in the right home. Oliver has already lost so much, but he hasn’t lost his ability to trust, or his hope that the right person is out there. If you give him that chance, he’ll give you his whole heart in return. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
