Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Nash - tiger stripes, brownie mix, java chip frappe, defender of the galaxy is here! I will protect your veggie garden from any invaders!  I love cuddles so much! You’ll save on heating costs in the winter because I am your heated blanket! My friends tell me I am part dog, part weighted blanket!  I love people and doggy friends so much! I am nice to every person I meet, and I especially love when my people come home! I always greet my humans with a stuffie when they come home! And my fav party trick is showing everyone my very good “sit” & “paw”! With my doggy friends, I love to play! I go at their pace, never growling or biting back, even when some of my friends can get spicy! I love to play tug of war with my humans and absolutely love my walkies! Exploring the great outdoors then coming back home for a FAT nap is my jam! I used to live with cats when I was younger, and I’d be open to hanging with the felines again!  I am a great house guest - house trained and able to be left home alone without supervision! I won’t tear up any of your cozy furniture because I’ll be napping on it, waiting for you to come home! I let my foster mom wipe my paws too after every walk! I have such good manners - won’t drag mud through your home! Going on vacation? No problem! I love car rides and adventures - take me with! No dogs allowed? No problem! I am the bestest boy in doggy day care! I love playing with my doggy friends in boarding!  I take anti-anxiety medications twice a day because who doesn’t in this day and age?! But I take my meds easily, and my foster family & LDDR are showering me with love and helping me decrease my meds!  I am such a good boy and am eager to park a permanent place in your home and heart! Let’s be best friends forever! LDDR will even pay for training sessions with my adopters because they want me to find my FUREVER home!  Click here to watch a video of Nash.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. April 7, 2025, 7:49 pm

Story
Bulma is a 3 year old, 70 lb American Bulldog. She is a super happy, very friendly dog. Her friendliness, however, doesn’t necessarily extend to other dogs. She can be a bit of a bully when she thinks she can get away with it. Bulma was raised outside with her brother (who was recently adopted). They had food, water, shelter and love from their human, but they were never allowed to live inside. When their mom became too ill to continue to care for them, she, regrettably, surrendered them to rescue. Bulma is affectionate and energetic. Her foster recommends she be placed in a home where she can be an only dog and get plenty of exercise. Her original human reported that she also had a cat that frequently spent time behind the fence with the dogs, but this hasn’t been tested and verified since entering rescue. Bulma hasn’t been tested with children but we have no reason to think she would be anything other than her sweet, friendly self. She might be a little much for very small children, since she is not bashful about showing love (just like every other Bulldog we’ve ever met). She needs some training to learn her doggy manners and she is very eager to please. She will be tons of fun, laughs, and kisses on day one! Story
Brohm has a cleft palate, but it doesn't slow him down, he can do very well self-feeding. He loves treats of all kinds. Brohm is a sweet, loving bully. He prefers to be in your vicinity where he lays down and waits for you to move to the next room. If you are on the couch he wants to be on your lap. He enjoys short walks because he tires easily and loves to hop in the car with you! He is dog selective, so he must be the only dog in the house. Cats are okay.
