Story
JJ~birth~November 2022Hi everyone my name is JJ, I hope someone out there can help me. I am a big boy, about 85 pounds and I am on a journey to find a hooman and a home to call my own. I can be a bit shy at first in a new place with new people but I am quick to warm up if you have food!! I sadly wasn't given many opportunities to be socialized properly with the outdoor world without my siblings but I am trying to be better. I have been at school for the past couple of months working on my obedience and socialization skills. I sadly do not do well with other dogs and need to be in a home by myself so I can get all the attention! I know how to heel, sit, down, place, and come. I am getting better about paying better attention to my teacher during class but sometimes it's just so hard because there are so many things I have never seen or heard before. Everything is new to me so I am still learning new things every day. I would love the opportunity to explore the world with you and hope to see you soon! _____The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please use these links for our:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org

I can be a bit shy at first in a new place with new people but I am quick to warm up especially for bacon! (Pssssttt please bring me some) I sadly wasn't given many opportunities to be socialized properly with the outdoor world without my siblings but I am trying to be better. I have been at school for the past couple of months working on my obedience and socializations skills. I do well with other dogs but my teacher says I don't realize my size--- I think she's nuts, I am a perfect lap sized doggo. I'm only 80 pounds and I have proven to her time and time again I can fit anywhere. I also know how to heel, sit, down, place, and come. I am getting better about paying better attention to my teacher during class but sometimes it's just so hard there are so many things I have never seen or heard before. Story
Mona is a loving and intelligent mother who was picked up as a stray while carrying 11 puppies in her belly. She gave birth 11/4/23 and her pups have all been adopted out through Good Karma Puppy Rescue. She's been spayed, and now she's looking for her forever home. She's done very well at picking up behaviors like sit, down, touch, and shown great tolerance to the nail grinder and being handled. She's met at least 10 children so far (a couple of which are pretty rough) and has demonstrated she's very gentle and tolerant. While she's great with her puppies but hasn't gotten much exposure to other dogs for a while. She's shown signs of aggression to unknown dogs so caution should be taken when introducing her. She's food motivated, will roll right over for belly scratches, and loves walks and cuddling on the couch

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet Joyous, aka Joy, a lovely girl whose father is an American Bulldog mix and mother is a Colby Red Nose Pit Bull.  This sweet girl was born 9 days before Christmas in 2015 and weighs about 65 pounds.  She is an absolute delight to be around and loves to play and cuddle. Joy is very social and does well with other dogs and kids of all ages.  She is well-behaved and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come.  She is also housebroken and crate trained, although she would prefer not to be crated, making her a breeze to care for. One of Joy’s best qualities is that she is an excellent walking companion.  She walks great on leash, never pulling or getting distracted by other dogs or people.  She is also very active and loves to run and play, so having a fenced-in yard would be ideal for her. Did I mention she loves to play ball? Joy is looking for a family who will give her all the love and attention she deserves.  She will make a loyal and loving companion, always eager to please and cuddle up with her people.  If you’re looking for a sweet dog who will bring joy to your life, Joyous just might be the perfect fit! For more information or questions, email Tim at tmb611@msn.com.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. April 15, 2024, 9:16 am

Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Nash here to say hello! Nash is a big bouncy boy. He loves to go for walks, play with toys, and see his people. He gets very excited when doing really exciting things and needs an adopter than can redirect him. He would do best in a home as the main attention getter - aka no other pets. He would also be best with no children. He really can cuddle, love, play, explore, and more - he just needs the right plance to land! If you give him the chance to be his best self you don't regret it! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
