Story
Muffin is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. She has been an Underdog since October. She came to us severely neglected. She needed a dental and was covered in masses. Ears cropped, scars on her head. Yet, she is the happiest girl you will ever meet. We found out she has an enlarged heart which made her high risk for anesthesia. She got her dental done, she got spayed, and they removed as many masses as they could. We found out that the masses were cancerous🥺 Because she is such a high risk for surgery, we are looking for a hospice adopter at this time. With this being said, Muffin still has a zest for life. She loves food, she loves to play, and absolutely loves being with her people. All she needs in life are snacks and belly rubs. She does need to be the only animal in the home but with all the love she has to give, she is all you will ever need.

Story
I’m a sweetheart with a heart as big as my smile, and I’ve been patiently waiting for someone to finally choose me. While others have come and gone, I’m still here — hopeful, wagging, and ready to love with my whole heart.I have an endless love for toys, especially squeaky ones. My absolute favorite game? Chewing on them until I liberate the squeaker (10/10, highly recommend). I’m also a total fetch fanatic — toss me a ball or toy and I’ll sprint after it with pure joy, then proudly trot back for round two… or ten.I’m playful, affectionate, and the kind of girl who will brighten your day with kisses, tail wags, and joyful toy-time antics. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving and easy-going companion who will keep you laughing and remind you how good unconditional love feels, I’m ready.Let’s meet — I’ll bring the love and you bring the squeakers.Love,Fawny TawnyTawny~born~7/1/20_____Standard and Special Breed adoption fees includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please click on the link for more information:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org***PAAW’s Avocato Catfé is now open in Farmington Hills! Story
She's been through more than most — and she's still the sweetest girl in the room. Reyna is a Pocket Bully/Pitbull mix with a calm, loving presence that quietly catches you off guard. She's the kind of dog that looks tough and acts gentle, the kind that leans into you for pets and makes you wonder how anyone could ever overlook her. Right now, Reyna is in the middle of heartworm treatment — and we want to be completely upfront about that. She's past the medication phase, currently in her rest period, and getting close to her final injections. The finish line is in sight. And here's what matters most: TWRDA will cover the full cost of her heartworm treatment, even if she's adopted before it's complete. Her health is our responsibility, and we're seeing it through. Reyna does wonderfully with bigger dogs, kids, and adults — she has the potential to be an incredible family dog for the right home. She doesn't do well with small dogs or cats, so a home without them is where she'll truly thrive. She's spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped — ready to be claimed by the family she deserves. Reyna isn't asking for much. Just someone patient enough to let her finish healing and loving enough to be there when she does. Reyna is looking for a foster or forever home. If you can open your door to a girl who has already proven she's worth it — she'll spend the rest of her life proving it right back.

Story
Seven is a 3-year-old American Bulldog mix with a heart of gold and energy to match. This goofy, playful boy loves cuddles, attention, and making friends — and he means everyone. He loves all people, dogs, and cats, making him an easy fit for almost any home. Seven came to us as a stray, but he had a microchip — which told us everything we needed to know. His owner no longer wanted him, and he arrived in rough shape after spending a long time living outside. He had fly bites covering his body that we’re actively treating, but through it all he has stayed loving, gentle, and trusting of people. He didn’t give up on humans. Now we’re looking for humans who won’t give up on him. Seven deserves a warm home, a soft couch, someone to play with, and all the love he’s never had. Could that be you? He is neutered and ready for his forever home. DM us or visit rescuedetroitanimals.com to apply.

"Hi, I’m Indie!   My foster family calls me 'Sis,' and at 4 months old, I’ve already decided that life is all about two things: sunbeams and snacks. I’m a professional kiss-giver and a couch-cuddling expert. I love hanging out with human kids and dog pals, and I’m even learning how to stay on the good side of my sassy cat roommate!   If you're looking for a sweet Bully mix with a heart of gold, I’m your girl."    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet Meatball! Meatball is a 63-lb land hippo, professional splooter, bird watcher, and full-time lover boy. If you are a human, congratulations! You are automatically one of his favorite people and will absolutely be smothered in kisses. He’s seriously one of the sweetest dogs ever and just wants to be involved in everything you’re doing. He’ll follow you from room to room, flop dramatically next to you for naps, and greet you like you’ve been gone for 10 years even if you just took the trash out. When he gets excited to see us, he grabs a toy and wiggles around trying to contain himself, which is honestly the cutest thing ever. Meatball has made SO much progress in foster care. He’s now down to 63 lbs from his original (overweight) 73 lbs, takes his Fluoxetine like a champ, and does really well and stays quiet in his crate while we’re gone. He thrives with routine and has become such a cozy, lazy boy at home. He is fully housetrained, and he will tell you when he needs to go out! He is all about open communication! He loves sleeping in, dreams HARD (lots of twitching and little woofs in his sleep), and is always ready for a couch nap. He also LOVES walks and car rides. Walks are basically his favorite part of the day, and he puts those quarterback shoulders to work on the walks! Prepare yourself ahead of time if you want to walk Meatball or if you want Meatball to walk you! He is VERY passionate about chasing birds, squirrels, and rabbits, so he definitely keeps things entertaining. Car rides make him absolutely lose his mind in the best way possible. He rolls around in the backseat like he just won the lottery. He already knows “sit,” “touch,” and “paw,” and he’s super food motivated and eager to keep learning. He’s very affectionate, very people-oriented, and genuinely just wants love and attention all the time. A few honest Meatball facts: Soft toys do not stand a chance! There is only one soft toy that has stood up to him, but the rest of his toys are hard toys! He is a sucker for his Kong with frozen peanut butter!  He occasionally likes to pick up random things with his mouth like socks, trash, etc, but he lets us easily take things away from him with zero issue. I can stick my hand in his mouth. He doesn't have a possessive or mean bone in his body.  He can be a little dramatic sometimes like barking for attention or taking his neighborhood watch duty too seriously, but that’s honestly part of his charm. Meatball is just a giant sweet baby who wants a family to love him as much as he’ll love them. He has the funniest personality, the biggest heart, and so much love to give. If you want a goofy, cuddly best friend who will make you laugh every day and worship the ground you walk on, Meatball is your boy!  Click here to watch a video of Meatball.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Story
GOLDIE 2 – 3 years Attributes: Crate trained Housetrained Playful Single dog home Requires a fence Fence jumper Adult home only preferred Will potty on leash Good in car Medium energy Snuggly Goldie is a 3-year-old, 35-pound Beagle mix (with a little Boxer flair!) who’s full of personality, affection, and charm. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves being close to her people, Goldie might just be your perfect match. This sweet girl is incredibly people-friendly and thrives on attention. She’s happiest when she’s curled up beside you, soaking in chin and belly scratches—or better yet, snuggled up in bed for a cozy night’s sleep. Goldie truly loves her humans and forms strong bonds. Goldie has a medium energy level and is a smart gal – she knows some basic commands like “come,” “sit,” and “leave it,” and she would enjoy expanding her repertoire. She’s both house-trained and crate-trained, and goes into her crate on her own to relax. Like many dogs, she may whine or bark a bit when first left alone, but she settles in with time. Goldie does have a playful, mischievous side—she can’t resist the occasional slipper or cushion if left unsupervised, and she never says no to a good game of fetch! Because of her enthusiasm and strength, Goldie would do best in a home without small children or unsteady adults, and she would prefer to be the only canine resident in the home. Goldie has been known to test fences, dig, and even dash out an open door. She would be able to jump a 3 1/2-foot fence, so a tall, secure fence or a very strong tie-out will be needed. She would do well in either a house or an apartment, but in either case, she’ll need a vigilant home committed to keeping her safe and secure. The good news? Goldie is healthy, up to date on care, and ready to find her forever family. Goldie’s ideal home: -Adults or older, dog-savvy teens, or a single adult -Secure yard and attentive supervision -Someone patient and willing to continue her training -A home ready for lots of cuddles and companionship If you’re looking for a loving, snuggly, and spirited companion, Goldie is ready to fill your home with joy (and maybe a little bit of mischief, too!). NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
