Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Meet Teddy! This 4-year-old, 60lb hunk of love is the sweetest, gentlest mush you’ll ever meet! Teddy is crate trained, incredibly polite, and takes treats like a gentleman (just his lips!). He’s a mellow couch hippo who’s always down for snacks, cuddles, and the occasional zoomie. He knows his basics—Sit, Down, Shake, Wait, Kennel—and is learning new tricks every day. Though a bit shy with water and sudden movements (he’s had a rough past), he’s making amazing progress with patience and love. Teddy adores butt scratches, stuffies, and his foster sibling, and he’s happy to chill on his own or soak up affection with a surprised little wiggle. He’s a happy-go-lucky guy who could slide right into just about any home. Currently undergoing heartworm treatment (he’s already started meds), Teddy is ready to keep healing in a forever home full of kindness and snacks. Teddy is the good-est boy—and he can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Bulma is a 3 year old, 70 lb American Bulldog. She is a super happy, very friendly dog. Her friendliness, however, doesn’t necessarily extend to other dogs. She can be a bit of a bully when she thinks she can get away with it. Bulma was raised outside with her brother (who was recently adopted). They had food, water, shelter and love from their human, but they were never allowed to live inside. When their mom became too ill to continue to care for them, she, regrettably, surrendered them to rescue. Bulma is affectionate and energetic. Her foster recommends she be placed in a home where she can be an only dog and get plenty of exercise. Her original human reported that she also had a cat that frequently spent time behind the fence with the dogs, but this hasn’t been tested and verified since entering rescue. Bulma hasn’t been tested with children but we have no reason to think she would be anything other than her sweet, friendly self. She might be a little much for very small children, since she is not bashful about showing love (just like every other Bulldog we’ve ever met). She needs some training to learn her doggy manners and she is very eager to please. She will be tons of fun, laughs, and kisses on day one! Story
Brohm has a cleft palate, but it doesn't slow him down, he can do very well self-feeding with the right sized pellets but may need extra attention if you give him treats. Brohm is a sweet, loving bully. He prefers to be in your vicinity where he lays down and waits for you to move to the next room. If you are on the couch he wants to be on your lap. The problem is he is a solid guy. He loves to go on walks, but doesn't have to go far before he is tired out. He wants to greet everyone he meets. He gets along with other dogs and cats. He loves car rides too. If you are looking for a low-key type guy, then Brohm is the guy for you !FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Do you have tennis balls, like a lot of them, if not will you buy some? If your answer is yes than you might be the home for me! See I am simple girl but I do require lots of tennis balls!! I like other toys but nothing gets me as excited as having tennis balls! My foster says I am just a happy gal, that is good with all people even kiddos! I am house broken, but I may have had a couple accidents but I am still recovering from taking care of my 5 babies for the last several weeks. They all have found their forever homes and now it’s my turn. I was a great mom but my foster promised I never ever have to do it again, which sounds perfect to me! I really love my foster home. See, I also get alone time and have my own room, I have adults and kids who play fetch with me a few times a day. They all helped me get better on the leash, to come when I was called, I am actually even starting to learn how to settle down and watch TV. I would probably like to stay here but they have some big dogs here, I just don’t like when they get in my way. My foster thinks I will much prefer to be the only dog in a home.  I think that is true at least to start. The cats here don’t bother me. Did I mention my NEED for tennis balls, oh I did, okay. Well that’s all for now. Story
Thistle is a sweet 1.5 year old female we adopted about a year ago. She loves to cuddle and run around in the backyard but she is dog aggressive (must be the only dog) and does not like our 2 young children. Thistle would be best in an adult only home with owners that either work from home or are home a lot. She loves attention and definitely needs a fenced backyard to run off her energy in. She is afraid of car rides and walks, 2 things that could be improved on if we had the time to work on. She has worked with professional dog trainers and we would have them help show you all that she has learned. As much as we would miss her, we can’t have her around our kids.
