Meet Lovebug, a stunning 3-year-old American Bulldog mix whose name perfectly reflects her sweet and affectionate nature. Rescued from a local New Jersey shelter, Lovebug is a joyful soul who adores everyone she meets. She has a zest for life that’s as big as her heart, and her playful energy is bound to bring a smile to your face. Lovebug is good on leash and enjoys quiet, short walks where she can take in her surroundings at a gentle pace. She would absolutely love a fenced yard where she can romp and play to her heart’s content. She takes treats gently, is eager to please, and thrives on human connection. A home with older kids is preferred due to her playful nature and her tendency to think she’s a lap dog! Lovebug does have a medical condition that requires special care. Despite two surgeries to address her challenges, she sometimes struggles with breathing and regurgitation when she gets overexcited. She’s currently on a low level of medication that helps keep her calm, and this works successfully about 90% of the time. Because of this, she needs a peaceful home with minimal commotion to help her stay relaxed and comfortable. She would do best as the only pet in the household, where she can soak up all the love and attention. Lovebug is ready to find a dedicated and patient family who will give her the calm, nurturing environment she needs to thrive. Ella has had a challenging start to her young 7 months of life. She came in to the shelter severely underweight and with a terrible skin infection. She has responded to medical treatment, has her appetite back and things are looking up for her! Despite it all, she has happy tail and is a super sweet and playful pup! She would make a great addition to any family willing to manage the remainder of her medical care and provide the consistent training that this young girl needs! Midnight is a male bully who is around 5-6 years old. He is crate trained, loves walks, and enjoys hanging out with people whom he trusts. He can be very independent and wants hugs and pets on his terms. We don’t blame him because he’s had a rough start to life. Midnight was used solely for breeding purposes and had very little to no human attention or affection before we rescued him. He is selective with dogs but has begun opening up when paired with the correct energy. We prefer he is adopted as a solo-pet to a mature single or couple.

BERKS COUNTY, PA: Handsome, suave, smart – Capone is the whole package! Capone is a 4 year old American Bulldog mix and weighs 75 lbs. Capone is a silly and adoring pal, who loves his toys and treats. He has a medium energy level, but also loves a simple ball chase. Capone gets so happy when you throw a ball, he bounces like an adorable kangaroo! After playing, he will roll over on his back for belly rubs with a big goofy grin on his face. He loves a good nap on the couch. Capone gets along with most other dogs, but not all, so proper introductions and meet & greets are crucial. Capone loves to play and enjoys going for walks, but no cats for him, please. Capone's Story: He entered the city shelter as a stray after being found alone outside, extremely thin and chained to a fence. Still, Capone kept his spirits high and rocked his behavioral exams. His friendliness and impeccable manners quickly made him a staff favorite -he bonds quickly to his caregivers, often seeking snuggles while simultaneously melting hearts. Due to over crowding, Capone became at risk for euthanasia at the shelter. Luckily, we were able to pull him and his story continues! Will it continue with you? Capone is house-trained, create trained, neutered, up to date on shots, and micro-chipped.
