Story
Meet Hope, a 3-year-old, 43-pound Bulldog mix with a heart as big as her adorable, squishy face. After spending four months in the shelter, Hope was often overlooked due to her scars and healing wounds. Now thriving in her foster home, her once-rough appearance is transforming as she becomes a beautiful, happy pup.Hope is the perfect mix of laid-back and playful. She loves relaxing by your side, is house and crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs. While she enjoys her daily walks, she’s still learning not to pull when excited - she does great using an easy walk harness. Hope adores car rides, is food-motivated, and already knows how to sit, making her eager to please and learn new things. This sweet girl has a playful side—she loves her Kongs, tries to get other dogs to join in the fun, and enjoys spending time in the yard. She’s learning to play fetch but sometimes prefers to just chew on her toys. Mostly calm and quiet, Hope is a loyal companion who will stick by your side, bringing lots of love and joy to your home.If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing pup who enjoys both playtime and quiet cuddles, Hope is ready to meet you! Apply at bcaaofnj.org to make her a part of your family.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Hi! My name is Beauregard. I came to the shelter in October when I became too much for my family. Since I have been at the shelter, I have met a lot of different people. I was very nervous at first, but fortunately for me some staff members have taken the time to work with me to get me to come out of my shell. My new goal is to make everyone here at the shelter laugh. I achieve this by trying my best to run as fast as i can, falling on my side to play with a toy, or just jumping into their laps and giving them kisses. I would describe myself as a pup that can be ball of energy who sometimes gets over excited and needs to have a time out moment. My family and the staff here agree that I have so much potential, but I need to polish up on my basic training skills. Everyone thinks that I would do better in a home without small children. A family who is Bulldog savvy would be the ideal family for me. Please think about giving me a chance. I know I can be a good boy if someone is willing to put the work in with me.

Story
Doug is a young, large, puppy-like dog who would benefit from socialization and training, but who wouldn't? His new home should be experienced with dogs and should have the time and energy to dedicate to Doug's exercise needs and training. Any potential doggie-housemates would require a meet and greet. If you like large breed dogs, Doug is your guy! Hamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
Age:6 Weight: 95 Location: Perkasie, PA Nicknames: Hondo Mondo, Da Big Bubba Good with other dogs?: Yes, Other:. Hondo is mostly, indifferent to other dogs. He will want to sniff and check another dog out in the home but will avoid a confrontational dog. Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat Good with children? OK for kids over: 10-12 Activity Preference: Will go with the flow IQ: Average Hondo's favorite things: Hondo really does like to go for walks. One or two a day would be sufficient, and he generally tops out at about 1 mile. One of his favorite things are blankets. He will play, nibble, or just cuddle up with them. Hondo is good at: staying in a crate, behaving in the house, making me feel safe, walking on a leash, cuddling, following commands Ideal home: quiet environment, a fenced yard Training Needs: socialization with people, socialization with dogs Health issues: Hondo does seem to have some seasonal allergies. But nothing extensive. Meet Hondo Hondo is a wonderfully adorable big-headed bulldog. Unfortunately, he was abused by a man and that overall has affected his trust in men. So, he definitely prefers a female human companion. Hondo needs some time to adjust to new surrounds, but once that adjustment time is over…hold on to your hats! This boy follows his foster mom around like it's his job. Hondo and his foster mom like to go for walks together, they both totally prefer the cooler weather! Once done for the night they cuddle on the couch together. Hondo knows that he's not allowed to be crazy on the couch though, otherwise he gets kicked off and has to lay on the floor. Hondo sits nicely for treats and any food you are willing to part with. He goes into a crate with ease, sometimes preferring to lay in there to chew on a bone while foster mom cooks dinner. He will let you know that he has to go outside, sometimes a little too much. He has no idea how big he is, which is why older children would be better suited. Hondo is ALL BULLDOG. Goofy, silly, stubborn, hardheaded (figuratively and literally) but most importantly, loving. PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Story
Age:4-5 Weight: 80 Location: New Hope, PA Nicknames: <3 man Good with other dogs?: No, must live as only dog but is safe with other dogs away from home. Beef Jerky (BJ), Is such a lovely man. He greets people and other dogs like a gentleman. He is so sweet but after spending quite a few months at the shelter as a court case he doesn't like when other dogs (dogs only) come near his treats or bones. Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat Good with children? OK for kids over: 12 Activity Preference: Needs in-house activities, Up for a long hike any day., Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Will go with the flow IQ: Smart Beef Jerky's favorite things: BJ loves food. He was VERY underweight when he arrived to his foster home. He loves marrow bones, bully sticks, walks, exploring with people, relaxing in a chair, being cute and soaking up love. Beef Jerky is good at: meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, making me feel safe, walking on a leash, playing, following commands Ideal home: a fenced yard Training Needs: Health issues: none Meet Beef Jerky We love BJ. He has a sad story that is well in his past. Being used as a stud dog to make someone $$ he was kept in a crate with 16 other dogs and was confiscated when authorities were called to check out inhumane conditions. He sat in a shelter for 6 months until the court case was settled. He is now free and happy. So far we have taken 4 of the 17 dogs and would really love to be able to take in some of the dogs still at the sheltter. BJ had learned so many tricks. We work with the trained every Wednesday and he is a shining star during training. This guy lives to make you happy! PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application.
