Story
Tucker is a young, male Boxer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the people he trusts. He’s social and eager on approach, easy to leash, and loves getting out of his kennel to explore. Tucker enjoys body handling and affection, though he can be easily distracted—there’s just so much going on in the world that catches his attention!Tucker is playful and energetic, especially when toys are involved. He has no issues with food or toy guarding and is happy to share space with people while eating. Squeaky toys are his favorite, and he enjoys interactive play with his handler. When it comes to new situations or unfamiliar people, Tucker can be unsure. He may bark or appear tense at first, especially if something looks or feels unusual, but with patience, calm handling, and positive reinforcement (treats help!), he is able to settle and build trust. Once he feels safe, his curiosity shines through.Tucker will need an experienced, adult-only home committed to continuing his behavior modification work. He is highly reactive to other dogs and must be the only pet in the home—no dogs and no cats. He would do best with adopters who understand fear-based reactivity and are willing to work with a professional trainer to help him feel more confident and secure.**Tucker’s Ideal Home:*** Adults only (no children)* No other dogs or cats* Experienced, patient adopters* Commitment to training and behavior support* A calm, structured environmentWith the right guidance and consistency, Tucker has the potential to be a deeply loyal companion who bonds strongly with his people. If you’re looking for a dog to invest time, understanding, and heart into—and you believe in second chances—Tucker may be your guy.Ask us about Tucker today and see if you’re the match he’s been waiting for.To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. 🚨 URGENT BIO – KRIS 🚨 ONE YEAR OLD. 60 LBS. HEARTWORM NEGATIVE. STRAY. Kris is just a baby who somehow ended up alone. He’s only one year old — still playful, still hopeful, still looking at every person like maybe you’re the one. He didn’t come in angry. He didn’t come in shut down. He came in sweet. ✔️ Great with people ✔️ Dog friendly ✔️ Heartworm negative ✔️ Young and full of life Kris is 60 pounds of loyalty waiting to happen. He leans in for affection, makes eye contact, and has that gentle, loving nature that tells you he just wants to belong. We don’t have kids or cats to test with, but based on his temperament, we believe he could thrive in a loving family setting with proper introductions. He survived being a stray. He survived being unwanted. Now he just needs someone to choose him. This boy should not lose his life before it even truly begins. ❤️ One year old is too young to die. PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152 to be Kris’ s HERO!

Story
💞 BONDED SISTERS • MUST STAY TOGETHER 💞 Meet Xena & Ivy Some bonds are unbreakable—and Xena and Ivy are living proof. These beautiful sisters were abandoned, and when tragedy struck, Xena was hit by a car and left on the side of the road with a broken leg. Through it all, Ivy never left her side. She stayed with her injured sister for hours, refusing to leave her alone, until help finally arrived. They were taken to a kill shelter, where Xena was immediately listed for euthanasia due to her injuries. A rescue stepped in just in time—but there was no way Ivy could be left behind after proving how deeply devoted she is to her sister. Thanks to multiple rescues working together, Xena and Ivy were saved TOGETHER, just as they should be. 🖤 Xena is the injured sister. She is currently on the road to healing and recovery, and does best with her sister right by her side—her comfort, her calm, her reason to keep going. 🤎 Ivy is the loyal protector. Gentle, loving, and deeply attached to Xena, she provides constant reassurance and companionship. These girls have already been through more than any dog should—but they have never given up on each other. ✨ Their greatest miracle now would be finding a forever family willing to open their hearts and home to both of them together. A family who believes that love like this deserves to stay intact. If you’ve ever believed in soulmates… these two are it. Please help Xena and Ivy write their happy ending—side by side, forever. 🐾💕 PLEASE HELP TEXT KAREN 4136298152
