Story
Look at this freckle faced babydoll! Highlander came in as a stray and was never reclaimed, so now he is looking for a human to love. He is a friendly, playful, happy boy ready to bounce into your life! seems crate trained and keeps a clean kennel. He does know sit and walks pretty nicely on the leash. Hes all boy so be ready to toss that ball and race around the yard with him. Unsure how he is going to be with other dogs or cats but we always require a dog meet if you already have a dog in the home. Come in and meet this handsome hunk!

Story
Tucker is a young, male Boxer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the people he trusts. He’s social and eager on approach, easy to leash, and loves getting out of his kennel to explore. Tucker enjoys body handling and affection, though he can be easily distracted—there’s just so much going on in the world that catches his attention!Tucker is playful and energetic, especially when toys are involved. He has no issues with food or toy guarding and is happy to share space with people while eating. Squeaky toys are his favorite, and he enjoys interactive play with his handler. When it comes to new situations or unfamiliar people, Tucker can be unsure. He may bark or appear tense at first, especially if something looks or feels unusual, but with patience, calm handling, and positive reinforcement (treats help!), he is able to settle and build trust. Once he feels safe, his curiosity shines through.Tucker will need an experienced, adult-only home committed to continuing his behavior modification work. He is highly reactive to other dogs and must be the only pet in the home—no dogs and no cats. He would do best with adopters who understand fear-based reactivity and are willing to work with a professional trainer to help him feel more confident and secure.**Tucker’s Ideal Home:*** Adults only (no children)* No other dogs or cats* Experienced, patient adopters* Commitment to training and behavior support* A calm, structured environmentWith the right guidance and consistency, Tucker has the potential to be a deeply loyal companion who bonds strongly with his people. If you’re looking for a dog to invest time, understanding, and heart into—and you believe in second chances—Tucker may be your guy.Ask us about Tucker today and see if you’re the match he’s been waiting for.To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. 🚨 URGENT BIO – KRIS 🚨 ONE YEAR OLD. 60 LBS. HEARTWORM NEGATIVE. STRAY. Kris is just a baby who somehow ended up alone. He’s only one year old — still playful, still hopeful, still looking at every person like maybe you’re the one. He didn’t come in angry. He didn’t come in shut down. He came in sweet. ✔️ Great with people ✔️ Dog friendly ✔️ Heartworm negative ✔️ Young and full of life Kris is 60 pounds of loyalty waiting to happen. He leans in for affection, makes eye contact, and has that gentle, loving nature that tells you he just wants to belong. We don’t have kids or cats to test with, but based on his temperament, we believe he could thrive in a loving family setting with proper introductions. He survived being a stray. He survived being unwanted. Now he just needs someone to choose him. This boy should not lose his life before it even truly begins. ❤️ One year old is too young to die. PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152 to be Kris’ s HERO!

Story
💞 BONDED SISTERS • MUST STAY TOGETHER 💞 Meet Xena & Ivy Some bonds are unbreakable—and Xena and Ivy are living proof. These beautiful sisters were abandoned, and when tragedy struck, Xena was hit by a car and left on the side of the road with a broken leg. Through it all, Ivy never left her side. She stayed with her injured sister for hours, refusing to leave her alone, until help finally arrived. They were taken to a kill shelter, where Xena was immediately listed for euthanasia due to her injuries. A rescue stepped in just in time—but there was no way Ivy could be left behind after proving how deeply devoted she is to her sister. Thanks to multiple rescues working together, Xena and Ivy were saved TOGETHER, just as they should be. 🖤 Xena is the injured sister. She is currently on the road to healing and recovery, and does best with her sister right by her side—her comfort, her calm, her reason to keep going. 🤎 Ivy is the loyal protector. Gentle, loving, and deeply attached to Xena, she provides constant reassurance and companionship. These girls have already been through more than any dog should—but they have never given up on each other. ✨ Their greatest miracle now would be finding a forever family willing to open their hearts and home to both of them together. A family who believes that love like this deserves to stay intact. If you’ve ever believed in soulmates… these two are it. Please help Xena and Ivy write their happy ending—side by side, forever. 🐾💕 PLEASE HELP TEXT KAREN 4136298152

Story
🚨 URGENT – KING NEEDS A NEW HOME NOW 🚨 King is about 7 years old and was entered into our intake program after his owner was no longer able to care for him. Through no fault of his own, he lost the home he knew. He is: ✔️ House trained ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Good with kids ✔️ Good with dogs ✔️ Good with cats ✔️ Good with strangers King is the total package. He already knows how to live in a home. He has manners. He has experience. He has a calm, steady presence that only comes with maturity. At 7 years old, he’s past the wild puppy stage. He just wants stability, love, and a soft place to rest his head. Senior-ish dogs like King are often overlooked — and that’s heartbreaking because they are the easiest, most grateful companions. He didn’t do anything wrong. He just needs someone to give him another chance. Let’s make sure this good boy doesn’t lose everything again. 📩 King is URGENT and needs a safe, loving home NOW. 🖤 PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152

Story
🚨🍂 URGENT: PUMPKIN NEEDS OUT NOW 🍂🚨 This is Pumpkin. And she doesn’t understand why she’s here. Dumped due to landlord issues, this sweet girl went from having a home… to sitting in a kennel, waiting and watching people pass her by. 💔 She is only about a year old. 💔 Calm, gentle, and just wants to be close to someone. 💔 The kind of dog who should be curled up on a couch — not stuck behind bars. Pumpkin is: 🐾 Dog friendly 🐾 People loving 🐾 Easygoing, quiet, and affectionate 🐾 A true lap dog who just wants to be held and loved She’s not loud. She’s not demanding. She just sits there… hoping someone will choose her. But dogs like Pumpkin get overlooked every single day. And in a shelter, being overlooked can cost them everything. ⏳ She doesn’t have forever. She needs HELP NOW to save her life. ✨ Imagine coming home to her soft eyes, her gentle presence, her quiet love. She will be your shadow. Your comfort. Your best friend. 👉 Please don’t let Pumpkin fade into the background. Give her the home she’s desperately waiting for. PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152
