Story
Hi! My name is Bandit and I am a 2-year old happy Boxer mix who loves to play and cuddle. I really enjoy chew toys and love to play games of tug of war and fetching balls. Car rides are so much fun too. I also love to snuggle up with my person and will follow my person everywhere. I know how to sit and stay but I am a little stubborn when I am asked to come when my person calls me. My person needs to rehome me because I am told I am just too much for my person to handle at her age and need someone who can spend more time with me and train me to be the best dog I can be. I am really smart but need socialization training and although I love to go on walks, I am very strong-willed and need a firm hand and discipline training while taking walks. I love kids and get along well with larger dogs but do not get along well with small dogs, cats or any small animals so I may do best as an only dog or as a single brother to another dog my size.

Story
Lulu is a 6 year old boxer mix who has so much love to give. She’s a ball of energy who loves to run around outside, play fetch, and then come back inside and cuddle on the couch with you for the rest of the night. She was first adopted in early 2020 and has been with me since then. She is house trained and loves playing with other dogs. I am relocating across the country for the second time in 5 years and the first time was pretty hard on her so I’m looking to avoid putting her through that again. She is an absolute sweetheart and would be a great addition to any household. I don’t have experience with her around kids but she has been nothing but loving to anybody she’s ever met so I have no doubt she’d do well. She is up to date on her shots (can provide you with record).

Gus is an adorable and affectionate Boxer mix who is eager to find his forever home.  He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him!   He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. Story
Anyone up for some Tea? This sweet and curious girl may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’ll steal your heart. Tea’s favorite things in life are her ball, yummy treats, and mealtime—so it doesn’t take much to make her happy! Normally a quiet and laid-back pup, she has the cutest little bark when she decides to use it. Tea would do best in a home with older children, as she has a habit of putting things in her mouth like a curious toddler. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll gladly curl up in your lap and soak up all the head rubs she can get. With a medium-to-high energy level, Tea is always up for playtime but also enjoys relaxing with her favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion, Tea is ready to bring warmth and love into your home! Could Tea be the perfect match for you? To meet Tea, please fill out an application! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application . $295 Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Story
Meet Thunder â&#194&#154¡ð&#194&#159&#194&#144¾ Thunder is a 6-year-old male Boxer with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. Sweet, friendly, and affectionate, Thunder is the kind of dog who thrives on companionship and truly enjoys being part of a family. Thunder has an average energy level and loves a good balance of playtime and walks. He does best when he has daily opportunities to move, explore, and engageâ&#194&#128&#194&#148followed by plenty of cuddle time. He responds beautifully to verbal praise and positive reinforcement, and may need gentle encouragement at first when settling into a new home, especially around mealtime. This handsome guy is playful and social, does well with children, and is friendly with other medium to large dogs. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s also good with cats, making him a wonderful option for a variety of households. Thunder especially loves toys and will happily accept treats once he feels comfortable. At the end of the day, Thunderâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s favorite place is right by his personâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s sideâ&#194&#128&#194&#148he enjoys sleeping with his owner and will happily offer his signature Boxer hugs when prompted. His ideal home is one where he can receive the attention, love, and companionship he deserves, with people who have time to play with him and take him on regular walks. Thunder is being rehomed through no fault of his own, due to age-related limitations of his current owner. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready for a new chapter with a family who will cherish him as much as he will cherish them. If youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your home with love (and hugs), Thunder is your perfect match! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Thunder II, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Ida May! She is a beautiful 4 yr-old 38lb silvery gray terrier pit that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/26 as a stray. She sits and even dances for treats, but she doesn`t take them gently, so additional training would be needed. After she enjoyed stretching her legs in the yard, she came back to me and stayed close. When I sat down, she came to me to have her ears scratched. She’s friendly, outgoing, sweet, gentle and has a little zip in her step. She’s very aware of her surroundings. She walked with a purpose, and I think the purpose was to get out in the yard and do her business. She was not interested in meeting other dogs. We do always ask if you have another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. She confided in me that she would love to have a secured yard of her own to play in, but definitely wants to be an inside dog so she can enjoy all the luxuries of her new home and her loving human companions.

Story
This delightful and enthusiastic youngster is Axle, a pitbull terrier mix weighing 33lbs and at 10 months old that came in as a stray on 10/19. Axel walks nicely on a leash. He was so thrilled to get out in our yard and stretch his legs. He is very excitable and will jump on you. He is a tail-wagging life-of-the-party kind of pup who wants to be close to a human friend. He is very sociable and more than happy to be petted and loved on. He is crazy about treats and will sit constantly in order to receive more! This youngster needs to be in a household with no cats. His dream home would include a couple of soft cushy beds, an inside life with his people, daily playtime and exercise, and he is even willing to work hard at learning some commands. I think he would make a good pupil!

Story
Meet Brindi! She is a 3yr old spayed female brindle pitbull mix that weighs 60lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/15 as a stray. She is a beauty! She is an easy-going, happy, friendly girl that always has a smile on her face and can’t wait to go out for walks. And this girl loves to chase tennis balls! You can’t have too many for her to play with, and she is fantastic at catching them midair. She also chews through the tennis balls so having a strong sturdier ball would be just what she needs to have. In between chasing, she will come to you for plenty of petting and to have her ears scratched. She is a strong leash walker, sits for treats and does take them gently. She may be housetrained too. She didn’t show any interest in the other dogs barking at her, but if you have another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. She is an affectionate girl hoping to find her own loving family. Having a secured yard to play in, then come back inside to cuddle with you on the couch would be her dream.
